Lyrics for 222-228

Post by Bonkers » 24 May 2014, 03:35

Is there any reason why the lyrics haven't been uploaded? I hate always having to pull my CD covers out.

Bore doesn't have time to update the website at all.

I have all lyrics from SEB 221 to 227. 228 didn't have scan leaked so, yeah.

The reason behind no lyrics as of late has been that the form that has been used to add in the lyrics has been bonkers (as is most of the site currently as well). Adding the lyrics manually from the sql system is a bit on the slow and uncomfortable side. I have typed in some of the albums into a text file and will add them _when_ the system is back online as intended.

I am highly bothered with the fact as well, a completionist at heart and missing out such a chunk is just excruciating. Apologies. But yeah time is also of essence, but more so the broken form ;) If it worked I'd just bulk update them all during a calm nightshift at work.

tbh, I think it's time for a Eurobeat-Prime 4.0 re-haul. I think it should support more user-input such as submitting lyrics and releases. I think most of the community (on the forums, at least) is meticulous enough to keep things neat & orderly. And Eurobeat doesn't have a big enough draw as it used to that would attract many spambots or trolls - at least, I would imagine.

V4 exists: http://epsilon.eurobeat-prime.com (right now it doesn't work, probably due to the server switch)

However, it wasn't fully working. There were bugs and glitches. Development was stopped quite a long time ago. A shame because it was much more practical.

EDIT

I just realized that you already knew.

At least appoint Mods who can submit things.

I had an idea where people would submit things to add to the databases. In such form:

Label:
Catalog#:
(Cover.jpg)
Tracklist (kanji/romaji if applicable)
In bonus, credits.

Also, Discogs is extremely up-to-date. SEB228 is up on there. I know I've even sent some entries there myself.

The mod/update thing has been on my mind for a bit but technical side is definitely not my strong suit. I really hope with the server switch and such will make things work accordingly.
And yeah the database updates shouldn't be a hard thing to do really...

If you guys want to submit lyrics and make it as painless for us to review and approve, please use http://submit.eurobeat-prime.net/ (you'll have to create an account in order to submit lyrics, so we can prevent spam)

I plan to extend that sub-site to include submissions of all kinds of album data

With the new working submit system the 228 lyrics have been upped, thanks KiraTM. Now to get the rest of the stuff in 223-227 done as well. Seems to be much more fluent for my end at least.

I copied the 226 lyrics a few months ago. If needed, you can find the lyrics in text files here.
