I Venti D'Azzurro 30 Anni

Post by Crockett » 08 May 2015, 21:45

Hey friends!

On 7 May 2016 in north Italy will be organised the biggest show ever on the occasion of 30 years from founding I Venti D'Azzurro fan club, which promoted Italo Disco and Eurobeat music.

Team headed by Marcello D'Azzurro (Marcel Van Den Belt) was releasing the magazine, presenting photos from studios, new records and much more. Marcel Van Den Belt was the member and vocalist of NRG Boys by A.Beat-C. His I Venti D'Azzurro Italo NRG charts from Holland, where he live, was a determinant of italian dance music trends in 90s. Marcello D'Azzurro is friend of many italian artists, but especially he privately love Eurobeat.

Is very possible, that you will can meet at this event A.Beat-C. team, Mauro Farina, Giacomo Maiolini and Clara Moroni, the same like 10 years ago.

Ticket price is 30 euros, the place can be Brescia or Mantova.

Maybe only a tour itself to Italy will be expensive, but this is problem for anyone, who doesn't live, where a party is organised. For 30 euros we can expect 20 artists together in one place.

That sounds like it would be amazing.

If airline tickets were not so overrated I would definately attend.

Well, the party was canceled twice, last time in 2012. But in 2016 will be really 30 anniversary. Could be the last occasion to meet all italian dance music fans and artists. People like Italo Disco and Eurobeat all around the world, but events aren't so popular like in 80s and 90s.

Great. I'll consider going and inviting some other Eurobeat friends over.

The party in 2006 in area of Mantova was great!
Very nice to see the Italo godfather Farina there (he did not performed).
Strange to see Moroni, Gelmetti, Pasquini, Maoilini, Farina, Rimonti, SCP team and Domino in the same place.
Everyone did started their journey in a way together but due to different reasons they all took another path in the music scene. Some in good memory and others don't.
One guy is always able to get the connection and that's Marcello !!!!
Things that remembered me was the performance of Alberto Carpani (mr One), I stood next to Laurent & Clara .... the also looked at the performances. I wish I could read there minds at that moment!
Plus also that evening there was a great discovery going on ........ cause then that evening it came out that Sandro Oliva had left ABEATC!
Looking forward to 2016!

Thanks friend for curiosities. This party should encourage to connect both worlds - Italo Disco and Eurobeat. Some people come for artists of one genre, the more so because some or the most of Italo Disco fans have very negative attitude to italian 90s era.

You are probly reffering to the higher BPMs Eurobeat took on? I remember hearing this from a ,lot of Italo fans. Even the Iventi' Azzurro NRG chart started favouring some slower Italo dance(C.O.R.O.N.A, whigfield,ect..) over the faster bpms of HRG Attack, DELTA, TIME ect... Funny: I never had a problem with it, becuase I think the bpms suited the faster songs and vice versa. For me it was about the synths ;which that Italo dance really didn't specify on, so I never really cared for that style at all.

Possible places: Area Torino, Milan, Bologna.

At this moment, according to the published list, the party is dominated by old and middle generation of Italo Disco artists. The list still is updating.

Names close or directly from Eurobeat world, really confirmed and invited, without guessing are now only:

Mauro Farina
Giancarlo Pasquini
Federico Di Bonaventura
Gianni Coraini
Stefano Castagna
Clara Moroni
Annerley Gordon
