Super "Indiebeat"

Post by KiraTM » 26 Nov 2016, 20:30

Hey guys!
I read an interesting idea in another thread.

In order to make Indie Eurobeat "more discussable" here - where it gets little to no attention at all - we can open up a thread series which gives you information about the last month's Indie releases.
I think a thread like "Indie Eurobeat Single/EP" wouldn't be very interesting. But a whole collection of many songs or even albums bundled into one thread could be just like commenting on a new SEB tracklist!

We need someone who creates a new thread once a month for this. There will be a list with hyperlinks of last month's indie releases. No matter where they come from, no matter who made it. Little YouTube musicians, Japanese doujin producers, Patreon artists - everyone counts in.

Then we can discuss everything about each song. We cane write reviews and rate them. We generate an overview (I think I could make a website which bundles all information of many months) and make indie Eurobeat easily accessible.

The goal: Finding new music, finding music you'd never discovered otherwise, discussing, helping the producers with our reviews and support them if we like the songs.

However, I don't know shit when it comes to Indie Eurobeat. I know Sugano, Odyssey and that's it. So I need someone who gathers the information.

What do you think of this idea? Indie Eurobeat was never really a topic here, so we should at least try to make a little more popular. Or should we stay as it is now and only discuss about avex stuff? Eurobeat is still Eurobeat, no matter which language, producer or company publishing it.

I know about a lot of new Indie Synth Pop that sounds like 80's and the new Italo I post on the Italo Treasures thread, but I also don't know where to even start looking for indie Eurobeat. Or if its even being created; for that matter.?

It sounds like a great idea!!

The irony is that I think more people are familiar with Indie Eurobeat, and it would only help the community around this genre much more :)

I've been away from the scene for a little while only putting out releases every once in a while, but any kind of exposure for us indie peeps is a great idea.
