Boo. It's even worse because I still had credit on DJShop.de (which I used for many years). Even though it was just like 16 cents or whatever...

What's another good, not too expensive alternative, besides waiting for the bandcamp releases? :O

I wonder if the singer of “I’ll Be the Star” is Lucya (8), known for “Follow the Rainbow”. Her voice is quite similar to Linda Ongarelli’s, it’s just that her inflection isn’t quite the same. Perhaps she’s Linda’s sister, Francesca? She's also a musician, based on her FB profile, although I can't locate any samples of her performing.

Huh. So they found the master for Crazy For Love?

Wonder which version of "Getting the Fever" it will be. And wasn't one of other songs a different version on EbK? So same question, I guess.

Aww, I was hoping for a EBK 25 announcement. :?

I suppose in the meantime, this will include Dusty's "Crazy for Love" and I'm guessing the duet version of "Gettin' the Fever" for those interested.

At the sight of "volume 1", I think there will be a "volume 2" with :
- Dusty - Rock Me To The Top
- Fastway - Number One
- Dave Mc Loud - Fightin' The Night
- Fastway - Spacelove
- Melissa White & Ace - Switch!
- Dusty - It's My Life
- Fastway - Rockin' Hardcore
- Ace - Crazy On Emotion
- Jager - I Won't Fall Apart
- Ace - Wait For You
- Ace - Adrenaline

So 11 remaining tracks for a total of 34. Why they haven't made the volume 1 with 17 tracks ?

Not out yet, but previews confirm it is the "Lisa & Ace" version of Getting the Fever on "Initial Beat", and not the Lisa solo.

I actually prefer the Lisa Lion version of that song over the duet from SEB 172. Having Lisa own the song completely on her own causes it to feel a lot more epic, putting it up with the greatness of her other three tracks. The song's lyrics and soulful melody suggest a sort of introspective lust, and that comes to incredible life when Lisa develops that sentiment all the way through, without anybody else crutching her by completing her sentences and joining her in the hook.

The duet with Ace is still good, but it lacks the grand elegance of the Lisa Lion solo recording and veers much more towards generic dance pop. Christian does not ruin the piece, but he clearly feels superfluous to it. He's much more of a welcome edition on "2 Love, 4 Love", "Switch!", and "Sweet & Tender Lies", in my opinion. It's for this reason that "Gettin' the Fever" did not stand out to me back when I heard it on my first Super Eurobeat compilation and had to grow on me after a few months before I even really appreciated it. Even though I do like it, the original Lisa Lion solo version may be one of my favourite SCP songs ever.

It's dubstep. And just dubstep. Don't contribute to fake genre please. Music is not territorial.
Anyway, dubstep means automatic pass for me.

Not really a fan of dubstep either, and this clip didn't really win me over. But hoping maybe it's just a weaker part of the song? And it ends up more like that remix of Fly Magic?

Maybe it's the mastering again, but it feels like the EbK version of Sunshine Baby is a different version than SEB 198 (Well, the 'Extended Mix' that was on digital stores)? The drums, especially the snare, feel a lot more crisp?

Yeah, we already discussed earlier in the thread that the EBK version of “Sunshine Baby” is not the same as the one from SEB 198.
