This is why I don't order directly from Amazon. I care in what state my CDs arrive in.

Considering the wide media promotion, this seems rather mediocre, but it still sold almost two times more than 230 and 240.
Heh. That's 4 SEBs in the 240s put together..................... that's also early 190s level of sales.

Such cracks happen even on non-Amazon sellers. My very first album from CDJapan had a little scratch, too.

I got a crack from buyee (TEB 9), but that is not a rarity since the shipping route from Japan to Europe / America is way way longer than just in Japan.

Yep ~ the condition in which the CD arrives boils down to the mail courier & how they handle packages.

Stores like Amazon, CD Japan, Otaku Republic, Alice Books, etc .. should take extra measures with packaging to ensure media is unscathed on arrival. But they don't have to, so they don't, and just package everything the same whether it's an international or domestic order.

Both parties are the culprit ~ mail couriers for handling merchandise with meager care, and online stores for not packaging products appropriately to ensure they don't arrive broken.

That's why I'm an advocate for digital lossless music distribution, even though I love physical album art & holding the disc in my hands, there's nothing faster & safer than buying a .wav or alac file of your favorite song Image

OtakuRepublic packages them also carefully, but nethertheless: The longer the shipping route is, the higher the probability will increase for damage.

A shock and your case is broken.

I'm ordering a lot on CDJapan and all my CDs comes without any problems.
The items are wrapped into bubble wrap. The green paper is arranged in U with the bubble wrap in the center, the left and right sides of the U serves as protection.

With Air Mail, only 5 days from Japan to France.

Objection overruled!Image

If the album's not sealed in 37 sheets of bubble wrap & 65 layers of hi-grade Metal Gear box shipping tape .. then it's not fit for transportation !! :D 🐣

So after listening couple of times through this album I've come to a conclusion.

The mixing is superb, no doubts there. Transitions are awesome and everything interlaces perfectly into each other and bass on all tracks is present.
I can also deal with the fact that these just only old tracks, I have no problem with that.
But that one thing that bothers me quite a lot is that the tracks are too short!

Having just the riff and chorus is not cutting it for me. You're sitting in your car and after you hear the riff finish (at the beginning of the song) you wanna start singing along the first verse but it jumps straight to the chorus :/

If I take a look at SEB 70 they had the same concept but with only 70 tracks on the cd they had room to fit in the first verse (not always I think) and for personally I like it way more. Anyone have the same issue?

SEB 200 & Best of Euromach 100 were mixed the same, so it was no surprise for me on track length. I will agree with you though, in the grand scheme of things, it is almost pointless to put a CD out with only 48 sec. of air time for the tracks, but as collectors, we had to have it.

I personally like the 100 songs per album. Super Euro Best 100 is one of my favorite albums. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to listen to my copy of SEB250 yet - the only CD player I have is in the car. XD My computer doesn't even have an optical drive.
