Help me to identify this singer

Post by MissingName » 31 Jan 2019, 13:06

Hello guys:
I would like you to help me. It's a little hard to explain and I don't want to steal you time, so I will write the post in both short and detailed version, but at least give it a try, it's important to me:

SHORT VERSION:

Does anyone know the singer of this song? I know that many artists of this company and game are related to the eurobeat world, such as Raveman or Lala Moore, so I feel that she must have sung other eurobeat songs:

It sounds something like Cherry. Please, tell me if she sounds similar to any other artists.
THANK YOU.

DETAILED VERSION:

Long time ago I played a video game named "Bust a Groove" released in 1998. And there was a song which I loved. The problem is that there wasn't info about the artists in the American version (because some songs were sung into English, and there's only info about the "original" ones). The soundtrack was produced by AVEX (company which releases many eurobeat tracks in Japan). I discovered that some artists who participated in the game, participated in other games (Paradise, beatmania, etc.) or in other songs without appearances in games (normally eurobeat):
Raveman sung both in "Bust a Groove" and "Campus Summit 2001 - It's A Global Entertainment"
And last year was discovered that one of the songs of the American version was sung by "Lala Moore" (Crystal Kay) in Beatmania and Paradise:

https://youtu.be/WlH7IbsVoZw?t=14 (Bust a Groove/Not credited/)
Also, in one of the songs of the game (Bust a Groove) there is a song that is credited as "Donna" as a singer (Clara Moroni).

https://www.discogs.com/es/Various-Bust ... ase/627329 (Song 8, it refers to her)
The problem is that she doesn't sounds like her, and Discogs can be wrong.
Well, this is the singer's name I look for:

It sounds something similar to Clara Moroni, but it's hard to believe she's.
Can you tell me if you recognise the singer? If not, could you provide me possible names of other artists with similar voice? It is very important to me because I have looked for her name during 15 years approx.)
Thank you very much for your time!

My first thought was Clara Moroni, when she sings in her deeper tones.

I thought the same, but regrettably its not her. I sent an E-mail and they told me she wasn't.

Discogs is a great resource but yeah you're right it is definitely wrong, it's all pretty much all user submitted content so it's prone to a lot of error.

I don't know who the singer is but it really doesn't sound like Clara at all - cool that we have confirmation above though! :D

I loved the Bust A Groove games as a teenager and I have the Japanese versions in my collection today - I preferred the English covers of the songs myself but love the Japanese soundtrack nevertheless. I never had any thought of who the singers were though. Good luck on your info hunt!
