It seems that nothing escapes the eye of Oresama-Chan when he is searching for all things eurobeat on-line.
I've visited this site in the past out of curiousity for their searchwords
like laurent gelmetti, eurobeat. But I don't see Laurent G. connection yet
other than them mentioning his name( as a probable influence on their productions?). Basically, they appear to be influenced by eurobeat,
but their samples didn't sound like most of real eurobeat(italo hi nrg based), but rather like an italian techno based dance music in the venue
of SAIFAM. Saifam made a lot of music that sounded like this and
it was not marketed as eurobeat.
I don't see much of a reason for Laurent G to leave Delta, and the same goes for Bratt(and him joining Bon Jovi was just a a joke.. )
and, of cause, for Clara,as well. You don't shoot the golden cow when it
produces milk. You just can't make anything new that would match the
reputation and success of Delta for japanese market, and competition
is apparent among Avex eurobeat producing teams from Italy.
There already so many labels on SEB,so it would be way too tough for newcomers.
Oresama-chan, have you heard about Systems In Blue in Japan? Do you have much interest in Japan for the eurobeat with german style sound?
I've been wondering about that a bit.

Well, Gelmetti *did* work for SAIFAM.

Although looking at the site, I wouldn't guess it, since his eurobeat seems to be going more towards the eurodance/handbag style of music, which doesn't really go with the genres listed.

like ive said before, i heard Go! Rocky Joe/Maximum Power, and the vocalist is Magnani, someone Gelmetti works with. Also, the synths sound similar to the ones he uses. Also a clue in would be the name Stephy Martin, who he works with as well.

This may point out to his involvement, indeed. L.G. has produced
stuff for european labels like this during his Time-Delta period,
so it is not impossible that he works with AKYR. Imagining that
he runs this new label is a bit more radical thought, but nothing is impossible, and L.G. has mentioned his desire to work with new markets
on this forum. This label doesn't appear to be tied up in strictly
for japan mode of production,so it theoretically could be that outlet
for different markets. Still, why give up the fantastic business like Delta
and try uncertain waters ?

Personally I prefure to wait till the 'people' behind this new label do appear in the 'spotlight'. Just have patience.
The reasons to change the worksphere; to start a new label can be perhaps found in the creative freedom admosfere, or personal characters or perhaps financial reasons. Who knows .....
I'll find this development very positive cause the compitation is just growing. Got for the custumors, and that's us!
If it's Laurent by the way, I hope his label will find it's way to the SEB serie's. With his outstanding work over the years he's work should be attached to this AVEX compulation work.
Let's see what the future will bring.

:D Ronald.

Just take a look at the header of HTML source of Akyr Music's site. You can see the names of Gabrielli and Piccinelli there, right? I'm so sure the Gabrielli is Roberto Gabrielli and he is one of Laurent's collaborators cuz in the mail I received from him early this month he was saying there would be news and changes this year. As to Piccinelli, I'm guessing that is Cristian Piccinelli, who was producing Italian techno on Media records, or Laura Piccinelli, who was collaborating with Federico Di Bonaventura, but I'm leaning to Cristian judging from the fact that she wasn't a composer, but a lyricist.

Thanks to taQ, I could hear "Go! Rocky Joe" by Maximum Power and I would say it's apparently Laurent's work taking the drum pattern and sampling used for example and reminds me of his works on TIME in early-mid 90s. The composer might be Roby if my forecast is right. (Sorry in advance, if I'm wrong. :P )

No, I had never heard about them till I recently knew the name on Peter Willson's HP which I found the link to in another thread here on EP forum.

As for German Eurobeat, I used to listend to Danuta, Modern Talking, Thinking Orange, Lady Lily, C. C. Catch, Attack and Bad Boy Blue in the late 80s, but I didn't understand in what way they were different from Italian Eurobeat, and so I don't even now.lol
