BEST Eurobeat song OF ALL TIME?
BEST Eurobeat song OF ALL TIME?
After having this conversation with Panu, I decided to post this.
What one song do you think is the BEST Eurobeat song of all time?
I would have to say:
Go Go Girls - Hot For Your Body
Why?
1. Alessandra Mirka Gatti produced it with others
2. The intro is hillarious, and possibly the most original and memorable intro
3. Elena Gobbi and Alessandra Mirka Gatti's vocals are top notch (though you can't here much of Sandra in the song, she's audiable in the intro)
4. It's just too catchy
=3

Okay well I am quite between titles here. Well first of all I would name
Kiki & Kika - Easy Busy as the best one of all, as it's probably one of the most distinctive eurobeat songs ever made. Plus it has a lot of variety in the backgrounds and more edge than 10 eurobeat songs put together.
After that song I'd have many songs to list:
Lolita - Don't You Want My Heart this song is just simply awesome, the vocals are awesome, the melody kicks ass and it's just irresistible. I probably would've mentioned Lolita's Think Of You as the best Lolita song, but it's suffered a bit from heavy overplay.
Other songs bubbling under would be:
Claudia Vip - White Is For You Black Is For Me
Susy Wender & Nuage - Plastic Girl
A-Beat Sisters - Go Baby Go
Go Go Girls - Baby Can You Love Me
Matt Land - Kiss Me Before Midnight
Bazooka Girl - Velfarre 2000
I could probably go on with the list for a really long time.

My opinion changes a lot, but I suppose my all time favorite is...
LUNA - GUARDIAN ANGEL.
Cause I said hey gimme gimme my guardian angel, watching over me...
Runners up include:
LOLITA - HEART ATTACK
SUSY WENDER - RUNAWAY
LINDA ROSS - SUGAR SUGAR HONEY
RIKI 1 - SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE
...I could go on forever.

I'm gonna choose Night Of Fire. It might not be my most favorite eurobeat song but I have to say its the most influential. That and Mickey Mouse March (Eurobeat Mix). The reason I say its the most influential? They helped propel eurobeat into the mainstream and make eurobeat popular again. Lots of Japanese people knew (and actually still know) the songs and I'm not talking about just fans of eurobeat but common everyday Japanese people as well.
You can hate me but you know you have quality issues =p

Hahah. I know. I'm desperate for the full version. 2 minutes on Euromach just isn't enough to justify it's glory.Bore wrote:Just listened to Guardian Angel and the song has somehow managed to pass me by before, but it is indeed a magnificent song. Would be interesting to have the full version of that one.
By the way, would you mind typing up the lyrics to that song? If you have the Euromach booklet of course. Even if I know the lyrics, I'd just like to make sure :D.
