lol...club J is one of the most pathetic parapara events. No offense to the staff because theyre the nicest people, but it's just about the worst parapara event I've ever been to. SEF and Star Fire, and even many unofficial events are far superior.para_rigby wrote:Hopefully 9LoveJ will pick up where the other clubs left off at.

Yeah I've never been there so i only know what I've seen from pics/vids/other people but it takes place in a bar which isn't the greatest place for having an event where people are dancing in a "bigger" way than usual.taQ wrote:lol...club J is one of the most pathetic parapara events. What's even more stranger is that 9J has backing with the whole Gazen thing going on so you'd think they would have moved them to a bigger better location as part of a promotion strategy

firstly, neither twin star or velfarre are "eurobeat clubs", they just had parapara nights. Popularity of eurobeat had nothing to do with the clubs, because the events were always crowded. Twin star closed because they wanted to end their parapara events before it completely went out of style, and velfarre is closing because of land ownership issues.DJ Mike wrote:So does this closure of two major EB clubs indicate some horrible downward trend in the popularity of EB? Or simply that the clubs themselves weren't floating high enough in general popularity for everything including EB, that forced them to close?

Yeah, it's true lol The live mixing that DJ Yosshi does is pretty bad... and even DJ Mitsugu is off at times too! But I think J is good for socializing and drinking... lol Plus it's also really small and cramped, which is especially bad when it's the end of the month for ParaPara Lesson night!taQ wrote:lol...club J is one of the most pathetic parapara events. but about velfarre, I'm going to miss the location a lot. I'm sad it's not going to be in Roppongi anymore. Lots of great memories from velfarre, first disco I went to, SEB 160 & 170 Release Parties, Techno Rave, egg matsuri, etc etc...
and someone mentioned that the ParaPara Allstars were reuniting at the closing. Not true, or anymore atleast. ex-PPA member Satoko originally reported it to be at SEF GOLD 009 day (11/30/06), but now that idea has been cancelled and now replaced by a ParaPa! Love Special Performance.
Hi, I was also very moved seeing Velfarre closed down. I was checking their site a month ago for their schedule as I'm going to Japan again in May. And I saw the last schedule was for December 2006, and then I read it, that it had closed down
.
I was in Tokyo in November 2006, and I wanted to go to Velfarre but I was too tired from my flight, and now I really regret that it has closed down, that I have never been there. Not just for eurobeat but also their Cyber Trance events. But since I read here that another club that had EB nights closed down, I have a question.
Are there still clubs in the Tokyo area that have good eurobeat nights? It's not easy finding any info on it...

I know! I feel the same way. I was looking forward to going to Velfarre someday, (me and my friends made a pact to visit Japan someday) but now I can't. I seriously felt dissapointed because I will never know how awesome the club was.

..I'm moving to the disco/Shaking my hand to the loud loud sound...
