What I find funny is how HRG Attack can also create songs with the words "Hot" and "gun" in thier titles and still manage to veer away from the "gay" vibe. Hmm..makes you wonder about Saifam? :D

Heh, that's the thing. You usually don't notice until you've known the song for ages and then one day you pay attention and notice. Happens a lot with my boyfriend and I, I'll check and see if he remembers any others off the top of his head :P

Although I have to admit In The Stars was the only one that I had noticed from the get-go.

Well you surely know "Divine" is about Transverstite queen? Another Farina song. Maybe the song is actually about Divine? :D

Um..I got a question here. In the lyrics of this song the protagonist
mentions "Wondering when I'll meet my mate". I've been thinking
the word "mate" is mostly used between males, so I found the lyrics so
gay, but I'm not sure. Can this word be used also by/between females?

Sure. this is a tribute song to that gorgeous Divine, eh? lol
I'm not into drag thingies, though. :P

It seems you havn't seen "Grindhouse" The Kurt Russel segment.

Anyways,, In Austraila and sometimes in New Zealand man & woman call each other mates, so you definately have a point, but In the Mako song the lyrics are most certainly gay, because He is also waiting for his PRICE TO COME. I can only think that the original lyrics were meant for a female vocal, but then again maybe it just sounded better with the word "Loverboy"? Iether way a superb Nando song :D

Yes mate can also be used to describe a female partner as well, however the song also references to the male sex in other parts of the song

Uh-huh I see. Thanks guys for your help.
So if this song had been sung by a female singer, it wouldn't have sounded
odd... I was expecting the lyrics had been directed to gay ppl. :|

I wonder if the Japanese Eurobeat fans hardly ever pay att. to the lyrics?

Not necesarly. I think Diehard High Energy flollowers should be used to gay lyrics as well as gay Italo artists by now

I know this song doesn't really have any 'gay' connotations, but has anyone listened to the song, "Girls On Film" by Groove Twins?

Is just me or is it about girls who star in pornos?
