Songs on SEB

Post by Shawaazu » 28 Sep 2004, 06:45

I guess this is what I'm asking, Which label should get the most songs on each SEB? I put this question as we all know A Beat C gets pretty much almost half of the entire songs on each new SEB. But what do you think.

Or should they all share it equally having 3 songs by each label?

Also if you want put the labels you want in order of songs from most to least from.

eg. Like in the real SEB's goes something like this:

A Beat C
Delta
Time
SCP
HI-NRG Attack
Vibration

I guess to be fair it should be equal share, but I really do prefer HI-NRG Attack... (even though they don't seem to like americans)...

If I were to make a list of how I'd like to see it distributed it would go a lil something like this:

HI-NRG Attack
Boom Boom Beat (It can still happen)
SCP
A Beat C
Vibration
Delta
Time

It's a close tie though with HI-NRG & BBB... but since BBB hasn't appeared on SEB, I'll have to definatly go with HI-NRG Attack 8)

Mmmm... this topic has sorta been discussed before on IRC And between some of my friends.. so what's coming from me is not very new...

But to begin with... I do love HI-NRG Attack and Vibration, but the thing is that they haven't not once presented their best at SEBs to date. Sure we got killer songs like Cocoa Bill and Stand Inside My Love, but but... the labels can do so much more than that...

SCP on the other hand has been pretty damn awesome on their SEB journey so far, they have presented us with many different styles and awesome songs. From the funny Kiki & Fancy to the tranceish Pamsy to the energy of Go 2... they seem to manage every kind of style and make the songs awesome...

And like has been said before, the prime 3 labels have already been there for such a long time, I kinda think they should give in some room for the new generation labels that seem to be more innovative and original.

So... my list would be:

SCP - 4
A-Beat C - 3
Vibration - 3
HI-NRG Attack - 3
Delta - 3
Time - 2

SCP - 4
A-Beat C - 4
Time - 2
Delta - 4
HI-NRG Attack - 2
Vibration - 2

Interesting what do you think nowadays, about last 5 years, was this division of quantity the songs by each label good for you on SEB? And in the future, someone wants to change the number of tracks in each label, maybe definitely cut some label ? :)

While this is definitely an older poll, I would vote this way as far as who should get the most tracks

1. SCP
2. SINCLAIRE STYLE
3. GGM
4. HI-NRG ATTACK
5. DELTA
6. DIMA
7. SUNFIRE

I didn't count Saifam since they take "haitus" every now and then. I would get rid of Sunfire and Dima, if it were up to me. Really don't care for their styles.

This is my top rank ^^ If I consider old labels :

1.DELTA
2.A-BEAT.C
3.TIME
4.SCP
5.HI-NRG ATTACK
6.VIBRATION

It differs a lot :P

I still have high hopes for SS with each album, ever since 223 I know what they're capable of and I'm always hoping for something with similar quality

Assuming one SEB has 15 songs, I'd say:

Three Songs:
HRG (their current songs are best for me)

Two Songs:
SCP
3B
Delta
SS
Dima

One Song:
GGM
Sun Fire

But to make it fair, I'd love to see an equal amount of songs by each label. Since we've got eight labels, there always should be one label which only gets one song instead of two. This should change by every SEB.

Everyone at 2. There. Everything's fine. No more inegality. If a label has no songs (absent from the compilation) or only has 1 song, the offset is decided at random with the output of the other labels (if they had a 3rd song ready or not).
