The sound of Digibeat
Hello Eurobeat-Prime members!
I've wrote this thread for the Digibeat fans, people who are new to the Digibeat label and don't know what it is and how it sounds like can read the whole story.
Have fun!

What is Digibeat?
Digibeat is a Eurobeat/Techno/Ambient label, the label has produced Eurobeat music in 2000 and 2001.
But Digibeat has also produced Trance albums, such as;

- Best of Digibeat Trance
- King Joe / Fishtone
- Fish Tone

This is Digibeat's logo:

The album Euro Diva Jennifer Tracks Original extended version is a very rare album but you can still buy it on website such as Yahoo Auctions Japan and Amazon JP.
Don't think you can get the album for a very low price, because the price ranges vary from 10.000yen to 50.000yen!

VHS
Digibeat has also released a few VHS tapes, they're called Euro ParaPara HOW. The follow VHS tapes have been released:

- Euro 1 - ParaPara HOW
- Euro 2 - ParaPara HOW
- Euro 3 - ParaPara HOW
- Euro 4 - ParaPara HOW

Vinyls
Yes! Digibeat has also released a few Eurobeat vinyls!
Since there's no information of them at Digibeat's website, I do only have information of a few vinyls.

- Take me to your Paradise / Jennifer - vinyl
- You are the One / Jennifer - vinyl
- Feel good / Angie - vinyl

How does Digibeat sound like?
Especially for the people who don't know how Digibeat sounds I have made some low-quality samples of some songs.

Disclaimer :
I do not take any credit of the songs below, they're property of Digibeat and I've uploaded them for you guys just to have an idea how the music of Digibeat sounds like.

Sample duration: 30 seconds / 0,5 minute
Sample bitrate: 48kbps

SAMPLES NOT AVIABLE ANYMORE

I am sorry, I've made some problems with tagging. Please just watch the file names!

Jennifer - Comin' of Age

Jennifer - Take me to your Paradise

Katrina - Acid Rain

Sandy - Baby take me Higher

Sandy - Anytime you want me

Mark S. - Eyes on the Prize

Marc M. - Home Alone

Now, you can tell me and many other Eurobeat-Prime members what you think about Digibeat!

I might create another topic in some days with information about other series!

A Digibeat Thread ! =D

I love Digibeat. Just look at my avatar XD. It has to be one of my favorite Eurobeat series. What suprised me though , is the vinyls. The vinyls look very nice , but i guess they are very expensive and hard to find (just like you said) :(

One of my Japanese friends is supposed to sell me his used PARAHow VHS. If i ever get them (because he seems to like them more than me ¬¬) well i will post some information on them aswell.

by the way , who is Jennifer ? :???:

This isn't the same label behind If You Were Here / Jennifer, is it? That song sounds like it was made in 1994 and appeared on Dancemania before 2000 (if that's when digibeat was founded).

Actually, Digibeat is a sublabel of CHAPTER ONE.
CHAPTER ONE has released in 1996 some songs, and they've appeared on the That's Eurobeat NOW! series.

Digibeat has remixed so they sound more like they're made in 2000/2001 ;)

Here is a part of a scan from the That's Eurobeat NOW Best booklet with credits for a song by Jennifer :)

the Jennifer from Dancemania is the Jennifer from EMI/L.E.D Records ... The only songs i can remember of her is If You Were Here. And her Discogs says the same acutally...

http://www.discogs.com/artist/Jennifer+(5)

Its interesting though WHO is the Jennifer from Digibeat. She is sometimes Lisa Wilson / Warm World or Piccolina / Worm World

As you can see on this credit...

The Jennifer from Digibeat sounds a lot like the Jennifer that sang If You Were Here from DDR, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if they were the same person.

You Are The One is an awesome song!!

Maybe they are one and the same, just on a different label? Maybe she was commissioned by EMI, like several other artists. Also, is Jenny - Do You Remember Me the same as the Jenny of SAIFAM fame(Pussycat Love etc)?

Also the brass synth riff in Tora - Flame and Fire reminded me of some Digibeat songs. You think so? RIP Digibeat.

I've always loved Acid Rain. Never really thought too much about where it came from though, until now. It's a pretty unique song.

digibeat doesn't sound remotely like any other label, especially since their sounds progressed through their releases.

my favs:
I've Got Something (4 U)/Viscious V.
I'll Show U Heaven/Catte
Take Me Into Your Arms/Tanya
Will You Be My Baby?/Katarina

Ok. I'll reword the question

Is there sound Romantic Style Eurobeat like Ayshu or Fast agressive guitar driven. Happy/girly sounding, Transy&technoish or just good oldfashion Italo NRG?

That's what's so special about Digibeat, you can't compare it with any other genre.

I will reupload the samples to a different host, and I will upload some more samples of MALE singers.
