Guys, and especially mr. Cheeseman, thanks for the compliments about my mix. I worked a full month on it and it was made with love and passion, and with a lot of sweat because mixing eurobeat-songs is pretty difficult. Maybe you don't notice it but in this yearmix are hundreds of cuts as they were neccesary to make nice transitions. I didn't have dub versions or acapella's (on vinyl often pressed on the b-sides) which made it even more difficult for me.
About the piracy thing:
You can see this mix as a tribute to the great producers of that time and their fantastic songs. You can also see it as a little promotion for eurobeat. My Eurobeat Yearmix 1993 was downloadable from my myspace site while a lot of eurobeat-procucers visited that site. I spoke to many of them and nobody complained about it.
But it's true, publishing a mix on internet (without paying for the rights) is still illigal. Some forums accept this and some not. I didn't read the rules before posting so I am sorry for that. I respect the rules of this forum, so for me it's okay that the download-link has been removed.
But what I find strange is that the topic has locked. Why lock it if the link has been removed anyway. Another topic about this mix is also locked. I do not understand why people may not discuss about this mix or about piracy. Downloading hurts but talking not....

some last words about my mix
Honestly, don't sweat it. The reason why the topic(s) were closed was not based on ANY factor OTHER than it's a music download link.
The reason why the topic(s) were locked was because that's how we handle the situation. Remove link > lock > eventually move to a deleted topics forum.
Bore / Panu has the last say in this of course, but I'm just following lead from previous scenarios. If he can chime in on the official forum's stance on megamixes, this would be a good time.

What has been done so far, is what the policy currently is on the forum. I've heard quite a few well done mixes and value the effort people put in them. Still in the very end, I do wish to keep the forum clean of pirated things. And like Phil already stated, the sole reason why the first thread was locked was due to the fact it cointed the download link. I actually never wrote a very specific lining about mp3s and such to the forum guidelines and should probably add it there.
So I'll get the guidelines updated, either way, don't worry about the thread. Although Avex's policy on online things is fairly strict, we wish to respect that as best as we can, and therefore no download links.

@Sjoerd:
Thanks for your message in dutch language but i don't have problems with understandig english.
If you had read my message better, you could read that I fully agree that publishing selfmade mixes is illigal and that i respect the forum rules. So no more posts with downloading-links from me. I only had a problem with the locking-thing. But that has been explained now and it's okay for me. Rules are rules, I should read them first before posting
Don't tell me about BREIN or STEMRA because I published a LEGAL cd in the past so I know everything about it.
