Super Eurobeat 195
Nanten Nodo Ame No Uta will not be appearing on SEB 195 anymore. Also from what I hear you can blame certain labels as to why Avex downloads are japan only now.

I cannot believe how bad this is. Now (that doesn't concern me but the others), we are stuck to buy CDs at an incredibly high prices because of the exchange rate (except euro) because Avex closed mu-mo to internationnal users.
The final nail will be this one : preventing Japanese stores to ship their products to international clients. Then, it would be total murder because the only way to get to listen to SEB (or Eurobeat in general) would be :
1. The packs that they do release on Worldwide iTunes or other online internationnal online music stores.
2. Labels that can would be releasing thei stuff online (Delta, Hi-NRG Attack and Saifam)
3. Go to Japan and buy them locally, of course, every month.
4. Having a contact that lives in Japan that buys and send it back to you in your country. Additional fees from your pockets goes to your friend are also added because he asked for a certain profit.
But, at this point, I highly doubt that happen because they simply wouldn't be pressing anything... or open the "Avex Store" that only sells Avex CDs and DVDs and which is also the only authorized store to sell their products. That would be TOTAL SUICIDE. I just hope that won't happen. For God's sake... NO.

I concur. They seem to be mad at everyone who goes "out of line" and actually does their own advertising footwork. HELLOOOOO! Concerts are a GOOD THING! Labels selling their older tunes are a GOOD THING! They attract buyers to the labels, and ultimately, to Avex! I don't see what their problem is.DarkSky wrote:Nomination: Quote of the yearLebon14 wrote:QFTwolftickets1969 wrote:Another nail in Avex's own coffin. I'm not ANGRY at Avex, per se; I'm just very frustrated. They seem to be locking themselves back in time (pre-iTunes) and isolating themselves. NOT a good idea; the more isolated they become, the more desperate people become, to get the tracks, paid for or otherwise.
Tracks 1-6, 9, 11-13 appeal to me greatly.
(THANK GOD FOR MORE DAVE RODGERS!!!)
(No offense to "Rock You", but... it seems to lack a certain strength in the synth riff sound choice. GOOD song with Claudio Magnoni (!), but... I dunno. I'm sure Mad Max will deliver the other side of the balance. Mari-San never appealed to me to begin with, too generic-sounding and not my taste at all. And Sinclaire had better FREAKING impress me if he's pulling out ANOTHER female track, even if it is Roberta Grana.)
A lot's changed in the decade and a half I've been here.

I think some people are going way overboard here. Yes, avex has made some bad decisions, but they don't do it for no reason. Who knows, they probably could've stopped doing the mu-mo thing because of idforums and ohcool uploading stuff from there.Lebon14 wrote:QFTwolftickets1969 wrote:Another nail in Avex's own coffin. I'd still buy SEB if it was "japan only" as long as it wasn't mp3 only, which I doubt they'll make it like that.
Excuse me sir, idforums didn't buy from mu-mo. But some did buy some tracks in the 2CD era in the 180's. But we are like the 5% in the 100%. But it didn't happen after SEB 184.Tiger wrote:Who knows, they probably could've stopped doing the mu-mo thing because of idforums and ohcool uploading stuff from there.

There is no way to prevent piracy. Somebody is always going to order the album and upload it somewhere anyways. Avex not allowing the US to legally download SEBs is more than likely going to lead to MORE people not wanting to pay the hefty importing fees and more people pirating the albums. Good going Avex, real smart move there, lol.

avex stopped producing vinyls because no one bought them.
avex got time off because they violated their contract, and I don't think that their production quality during the 180s helped much either.

I also believe 7A kept the extended format because she felt that the 4min stuff was leaving out too much. But, of course, maybe they didn't feel like making the SEB edits. Who knows

But yes, I do agree with most people that HRG is too underappreciated in SEB, but more labels bring in more people, and it brings in the variety other than when there were only 3 labels, for example.
I also believe avex is right in choosing what songs they think will be best viewed by the community, in most cases.
Also, lebon, idforums is liable in some way for anything its members do since idforums does not delete or lock piracy posts. And while yeah that happened a long time ago, it's not like anyone didn't notice.
