You Spin Me Right Round is foundation for half of HRG Attack's catalog

The Boom Dollars melody was inspiation for 90's music from all ASIA, ABeatC and TIME. I can't quite put my finger on the rehash melody of SCP's songs, but there is definately one there as well. Maybe one of the very first Fastway songs ,like Space Love.

ayway going back to Darksky comment
Take my Heart / Jenny Kee

Ripoff from

Heaven is a place on earth / Belinda Car
The more obvious song would be
Nuage - Have A Nice Day

Dave Rodgers - Space Boy => Mad Max - Dance In The Fire(sabi, which also has a touch of Bad Desire), and also David Dima's rendition of Save A Prayer has elements from SB.

D. Essex - Burning Love(riff)=>Dave Rodgers - Milan Milan Milan, Judy Crystal - God of Romance, definitely many other examples

In addition to YSMR, Glamm feat. Pete Burns(of DoA) - Sex Drive may have influenced some songs, eg possibly the sabi of Fastway - Overdrive

D. Rodgers - Milan Milan Milan(sabi) => Mote Mote - Korea Japan(sabi) and Jungle Bill - Tarzan Japan(sabi)
Aleph - Hero => many examples, including Korea Japan and others from HRG
DJ Company - Rhythm of Love(riff) => Cherry - Yes I Will(riff)

Kelly Clarkson - Behind these Hazel Eyes(chorus) => Laura Vox - Sexy Wild and Crazy Sound(chorus)
(I doubt Clarkson has even heard of the Eurobeat genre, of course)
Taylor Dayne - Tell It to My Heart => Leslie Hammond - Move in the Nite
DoA - Turn around and count 2 Ten => Fulvia Coupe - Without You I Feel Blue(b-melo, sabi, and riff), and Virginia Toy - Away From You (pastiche of the whole tune)
Buggles - Video Killed The Radio Star(bridge and chorus)=>Doll Sisters - Wanna Be My Dreamy Valentine(sabi)
Trans-X - Living on Video(riff)=>Rick Castle - Happy Generation and Lilly - Love in Venice
Frank Torpedo - Love For Money(sabi) => Fastway - Monsters Ready(riff and sabi)
Love For Money is also the basis for several major HRG tunes, eg Bandolero Comanchero and Bazooka Pistolero.

(sorry I bumped this again)

Jimmy Diamond - Love Machine and Maximum Power - Go Rocky Joe have the exact same guitar riff sample in their openings. Any idea where this was sampled from?

Wow, I can't believe no one has mentioned Mark Foster's biggest self-rip
Spiderman = Queen
"Spider, Spider Maaaaan" = "Queen of Chinatooooown"

also, because every Manuel song sounds the same:
Sun in the Rain = Ready Steady Go (intros at least)
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight!

I swear I've heard a pop-rock song on the radio whose melody and lyrics sound very much like Kate Rush - One Day. Is One Day a cover? If not, it must be a ripoff/plagiarism.

I'm pretty sure there's a reason zoupzuop2 bumped this thread without anything significant to say...

Not really. Just noticed I was humming "I Need a Hero" by Mark Astley along to "Music Fever" by DJ Luke Penn ft. Mr. "M".

In that case I'll add Think Positive- Jim Boggart, Angel- Claire Deny and wait almost all of Luke Pnn's songs carried that melody :grin:
