Same here with Superstar and the nonstop albums in general...#Infinity wrote:I actually like Running To My Car, but I think I'd like it a lot more if I had the full version, as it just seems lame to have to start on the main synth and then only make it through a couple verses of the track.
Super Eurobeat 199
椛ちゃん、助けてぇぇぇぇぇ!
'Running To My Car' sounded okay at first, but then I realised that also sounded like every other song HRG did during the 180s and 190s, and so I was disappointed. I was just underwhelmed more with 'Super Eurobeat' as it should've showcased something phenomenal similar to Eurogrooves and GGM. Maybe my hopes were too high for that song.
And I agree that the mixing on this album was terrible. The mix between 'Go Say Goal' and 'Running To My Car' is indicative of that.

All of the extendeds are on Morawin, and have been for weeks now, but of course only people in Japan can purchase from that site. That's what makes me even more annoyed about them not showing on iTunes yet.drnrg wrote:I checked all over ,but found no extendeds anywhere. I should have been like 197 where someone uploaded a least 15 extendeds. That was really cool.
In terms of the mixing, there were some absolutely horrible transitions (the addition of the Eurodance track "Spread Your Wings" over the top of the intro to Spread Your Wings was just ear-splittingly bad - totally out of tune), but on the whole I thought that it made for a more interesting listen overall as a non-stop mix compared with the likes of 197 and 198, which hadt he habit too often of just stopping one track and starting another (from what I remember).

Yiu are wrong Ditz. 197 took on a different appraoach by mixing some Heartbreaker in with Sledgehammer and some Gino caria lyrics from one song onto another. I still remember that because it really stood out. 197 one was actually a good mix.In terms of the mixing, there were some absolutely horrible transitions (the addition of the Eurodance track "Spread Your Wings" over the top of the intro to Spread Your Wings was just ear-splittingly bad - totally out of tune), but on the whole I thought that it made for a more interesting listen overall as a non-stop mix compared with the likes of 197 and 198, which hadt he habit too often of just stopping one track and starting another (from what I remember).

It's called trance, but whatever. I actually liked the gimmick. And I still like 199 quite a bit. I can wait for SEB200 for a few more months with this album. :]the_ditz wrote:the addition of the Eurodance track "Spread Your Wings" over the top of the intro to Spread Your Wings was just ear-splittingly bad
Nope, "Spread Your Wings" by Morgan was a Eurodance track. At the most, you could maybe call it commercial Eurotrance, but it's far removed from the trance of Tiesto, PVD etc. Don't like to get into big debates about sub-genres of dance music, but since I grew up listening to Eurodance tracks I kind of know the sounds.MKwiakaku wrote:It's called trance, but whatever. Am I the only one that found that it was very difficult to listen to? The vocals and bass notes of the dance track clashed badly with the soundworlds of the Eurobeat track to my ears.
Ugh, I need the extended versions from 199 right now!
Well based on the synth of it, it's clear they used the System F version of Spread Your Wings before Morgan released it on her own euro version
