Euro Smash Vol.1 is also very great, is it available for download or only available in Japanese shops?

I'm not sure, I think it's physical-only, unless you reached A-One directly about it. (Their English is actually pretty good!)

That easily sounds like overall the best Toho Eurobeat release so far - the first two tracks in particular sound mind-blowing! Love the power in the beats and synths.

Don't they realise how much more they could make from these releases by simply making them available as digital downloads? I'd happily buy them all - I just don't deal with physical CDs anymore... :???:

Touhou music has very specific rules about distribution, to put it shortly.

Vocals aside; I just can't get the Eurobeat feel with Japanese vocals; I would say, I hear some damn good riffs and melos.

Off the back;Travis has the best song with "Lunatic" and without knowing you have captured the Gino Caria "dark" synths melodies of songs like "American Psycho" and "Naked In The Night" , "Diablo Man"Not to mention the right vibe with the title "Lunatic"

The first two previes do nothing for me, but the third; Still In Love has a cool Aishu feel and I build up of the riff sounds really powerful and sweet at the same time.

Track four is too fast and sounds even faster with vocals I can't comprehend.

Trax 5; "GOD Bless You", isn't abysmal, but the title is just weird for Eurobeat. It does have a Nice riff. Now "Promise The Moonlight" ; has the perfect Eurobeat title and also have a really cool Aishubeat with Eurobeat riff mix.

Track seven; which I can't even make out the name, turns out to be one of my favourit previews. It's a song that I could easily hear Elena or Norma Sheffield singing just the same way, but with more elegance. BTW, I hear "harmony" in the lyrics. Its that the translation of the title?

Let It Be sounds like DELTA style synths all the way. I like it, just needs proper vocals to fully enjoy.

Cage To Heatsounds really captivating in melody and style. Just that guy should learnb to sing in english, but I like that preview a lot.

The last song seemed to chaotic. Not in a good HRG Attack way,but just all over the place. easily the least interesting preview of the lot.

It be great to hear em all in extended, but the sure fire bulls eye has to be "Lunatic" it just seems like it works on all Eurobeat angles. Your distribution name, "Lunatic Princess" cries to be made a song in the near future.

While I'm glad you like the track... Track 4 IS Lunatic, my song.

Absolutely awesome release. "'Still In Love'' sounds a lot like a track made by Plum.

Yeah that confused me too...

Also, Toho needs to rethink its distribution strategy. Ignoring the digital download market seems ridiculous in this day and age. Just saying it again in the hope that someone involved might pass on the frustrations of genuine Eurobeat fans who want to support the music without having to buy physical CDs...

Anyway, I'll shut up now... :x

Touhou isn't exactly a corporate-owned product. It's all brainchilded by one man, "ZUN", who allows others to create and sell ANYTHING based on his works (characters, music, games, etc), with a few catches. His situation on international releases (particularly Apple-based stores) is one of the few places in which he's somewhat strict.

It just seems completely bizarre to me, even more than avex's marketing strategy, but I guess it's his choice. I don't particularly want to support Apple, but I still find Japan's reluctance to fully embrace digital downloads really strange considering the country's technological advancement in general :p

hah! Sorry. That happened cuz, I reviewed your track first, therefore throwing me off from the order of the songs. :x

Once again to clarify; "Lanatic" is the best and favourit preview.

Ah, glad you like it! I tried going in a different direction than usual for this one, glad to see the fruits of my labor ripen. :3

According to http://teb5.a-one-records.com/ , it IS by Plum, as is track 7 (Arranger for both tracks, FN2, is from Plum).
