Hey all :).
I'm the new guy here, I'm also fairly new this the eurobeat genre.
For a couple months now I've been hunting down some of the SEB albums in my city, going to the various HMV and Music World's but to find no luck :(.
My only way of obtaining such albums is ordering over amazon.com or downloading. So if there's anyone from Calgary, Alberta here who can help a d00d out over here on other locations within the city he can find some, that'd be great :). Also a welcoming to the board wouldn't be that bad either :P.

Actually, Uber, I've had more luck locating eurobeat in Canada than I have in the states. I picked up SEB130 in a store, just sitting on the shelf, once. I did a triple take, walking past it. :P

The problem is that the music's not licenced for either country, so you *shouldn't* be able to find anything... but sometimes you just do. ^_^

Cosmic_Bard has a great point; it's not licensed in the states. But, you can find it at Asian entertainment stores in big cities, and (of course), on the internet by ordering! Best of luck!

Woot, welcome fellow Canadian. If you want Eurobeat albums, you'll probably have to import them like i do (I know it ain't cheap >.<) because it is next to impossible to find in stores.

Good luck and welcome! =)

i agree... until the SEBs arrive you should enjoy
the silence in your brain because once you started
listening to them you won't be able to get those sounds
out of your mind again... sometimes the last song
you listened in the evening even follows you into your
dreams... and sometimes your friends will ask you why
you start getting so nervous after not listening to
your "strange japanese techno" for a while. the answer
is: you are addicted to it! and the bad thing about
it: you will love to be so!

well, uh... at least in my case it's like that...

;)

anyway, welcome to the forum and i hope you will enjoy
eurobeat like we do!

Are you completely new to eurobeat? If so SEB 160 has a good mix of eurobeat from the past decade as well as a good mix of para para routines. Also get Eurmach Final if you can since it gives a good look at the mor energetic side of eurobeat. And CDJapan will be your friend =)

Yep, too late for me - already damaged; but you can still back out __^! (there are a lots of great hits in the 70/80s like crying in the storm, killing me softly w/ his song, circle games, say yes my boy, scarough fair, once burned twice shy, oldfield's moonlight shadow and trillions more u can try......)

Say it loud n' proud! Not because I don't care, just because I do! And it's GOOD!: I'm an addict... To Eurobeat... (Un)fortunately there is no cure for it so far rather than to kill me  I think the music will follow me through the rest of my sinful life.
If I like it or not, it's a burning desire!
