What's the song you always wanted to have in extended?

Post by DarkSky » 26 Jan 2010, 21:51

You know this situation, a song you really really like..
But there's one problem, THERE'S ONLY A NON-STOP VERSION OR RADIO EDIT AVAILABLE OF IT..

I think the one I'd love to have an extended of is Dima Music's ''Speed Love'' by Dream Fighter. :D Dammn FARM should put this up for online download ahah

- Dancing Into The Fire / Francis Cooper: This track is pure eurobeat gold, but so far it's only gotten nonstop treatment. I've been hoping for a long time that HRG would release it on one of their separate compilations, but for now I can't appreciate it fully.
- Brother & Sister / Virginelle: This is pretty obvious. One of the best, if not the best A-Beat C tracks ever. It's about freaking time this masterpiece gets released in its entirety.
- Stop & Go / Dusty, Freedom Wild / Nick Mansell Don't Go Playing With My Heart Again / Melissa White, Always On My Mind / Kite, Ciao Ciao Ciao / Fancy, and Crazy / Fancy, all from Euromach 14. I really like all of these songs, but they still need to be released as full versions.

Well I guess by these rules, vinyls are VERY easy to find and so we can easily own any song we want in extended format... :???:

Seriously, I'm not likely to look that obscurely for eurobeat vinyls for songs that were never released except as a nonstop or not at all. junodownload.com and iTunes make this task soooo much easier and more accessible to me.

All I want is just an easy way for me or any other normal to listen to great songs without having to be so freaking obscure and abstact as to how we find them. Why is it such a BAD THING that I don't really want to have to purchase vinyls from random places every single time I want new music? Because that's the overstated vibe I'm getting from all of this. I know it's not that bad or expensive if you can buy one, but in the first place, I'm really not even aiming for everyone who listens to eurobeat to do the same, and it honestly wouldn't even work if we all went through the trouble of finding rare vinyls online that will eventually run out.

Personally, so many Extendeds feel over-long or simply squander the extra minute (or 3) that Radio Edits usually suffice. Perhaps a topic for a later date could be "Which Extendeds do you NOT like versus their shorter Radio Edits?"

Nonetheless, my desire is still to get a decent quality (read: NOT WMA/Vinyl) copy of Christine's "To Be Your Angel".

First of all: I love, when a Eurobeat-song is extended. The longer the song goes, the better is. So i can enjoy the song longer. For example, there was a time, i heard the song "Hi energy" from Disco Vega, but it goes only 4 minutes. That's to short. But then i found a extended version, which goes 8 minutes. And of course, i take this immediately to my playlist, so the hype can last a little longer.

But of course, there are still many Eurobeat-songs, where I really wish, they could be extended. And there's always this song, which cames quickly in my mind, and that's "Higher my passion" from Bamboo Bimbo. Great song, but just 4 minutes. I would not mind, if the song were 10 minutes longer, I even could hear the same song for 15 minutes.
And also "Ride on my speedy car" from Garcon could be also a litte bit longer. For....... well,..... maybe.....9 minutes? :D
And I should not forget "Showdown" from Hotblade or Macho Gang's "Dance around the world". There are still many.
But many Eurobeat-songs in my playlist are extended, so i'm really satisfied with it.

Sort of irrelevant to the discussion, but sort of not at the same time -- I made a fan extend version of Going Home a couple years ago by merging and cleaning up all the sources of the song I could find, plus using a tiny bit of a creative license. Have a listen if you'd like, it's about 4 minutes long:

youtu.be/jkyungmWJW4

Not monetized in any way, I did this because I wanted to show love towards a well produced, composed, and written song for a genre I'm crazy passionate about. Although, I'm totally in the corner of the ring eager to fight whoever has a true extended version. Winner gets the song, loser flies to avex to berate Max Matsuura to force him to understand that he and other unnamed production labels are hoarding songs everyone actually would pay good money to hear :D :D  :P
