Review of Hi-nrg attacks ParaParaMoo Vol. 2

Post by euro up north » 24 Feb 2006, 21:29

After a half lifetime - yes it has felt like that, Hi-nrg attack take a new step in the internetword.
Afraid of new teqniqe, i have used a lot of hard work, installed and download, the latest album, ParaparaMoo Vol. 2.

Here is the my review:

1-2 A really ugly song. A song that i never would listen to again
3-4 Under avarage, a boring song, that has nothing.
5-6 Avarage song, that i could listen to, if i am doing things, but if i found the remotcontrol i would change.
7-8 Above avarage. A nice song, that could listen to in certain periods and choose for partys.
9-10 Songs that never dies. Songs that you will remember and could count in sleep.

1. Nikita Jr: Up and Down: A far better song than Bandido guy, that was close to miss evan an average score. But still a song that don´t hit a high score. Temporarly a nice song, but in the hole picture an average song, with a one-tone refrain. (This is from Moo & Cool) Extended doesn´t change any facts.
Point: 6/10

2. P.Stone: Hooligans: Well the ones who have read my reviews, knows that i am not a fan of the male-side of eurobeat.
Hooligans is a typical average song of Hi-nrg attack

Point 5/10

3. KaraMell: Superstar: Here we go. Best so far. Kara Mell is almost always something above avarage. This is a little slower song, but very nice verse. But the refrain don´t edge, but it is a nice song though.
And the best part - you really recognize the typical sound and songbuild of the number one label of eurobeat.

Point: 6+/10

4. 8. Tam Arrow: El Capitano Zorro: An averge Arrow-song. A lot of chimes, and you recognize the verse and refrain. The same concept Arrow used before. (From Tornardo and Friends). Extende don´t change the fact, that this is an average song. A little disapointment that there is songs, that comes again.
Point: 5/10

5. Nikita Jr: Rebel Rebel: Not impressed by intro- and verse, but the refrain is respect. Once again a little slower song, than early 2000-tempo, but definitly ok. A strange intro with a big turn in the middle of the intro.

Point: 6+/10

6. Jungle Bill: Tarzan Japan: You must love Hi-nrg attack for their lyrics and titles. My favorite is "Sexy love banana", but Tarzan Japan makes you laugh.
This is a pretty nice song, but not above avarage. I really like some parts of the song though.

Point: 6/10

7. Boogababo: Camel Man: Reminds of the royal russian sound, but without the edge we´re used too, when it comes to Hi-nrg attack. An avarage song that passes by, but some parts are really nice.

Points: 6/10

8. Bratt Protone: The sound of the underground: A new guy, and the intro is great. And a song that is not build up of chimes. A soft song, and it is close to hit the mark over average. (From Tornardo and friends). It is an ok song - not more - not less.

Point 6+/10

9. Nikita Jr: Calamity game: Best so far. Nikita Jr is one of my personal favorites, and this song delivers.
Some parts takes me back to the euromach era. Happy fast.

Point: 7+/10

10. Royal Eurobeat Orchestra: Opera : A cover. Royal Eurobeat covers Opera with Hi-nrg attack russian eurobeat sound.
Quit nice is my first reflection. Sounds a little thin in some parts, but it works. A cool song.

Point: 7/10

11. Jungle Bill: Blah Blah Ringo: The first part feels a little like "Baby Bazooka". But than the heavier Jungle Bill comes in with a great rough and tough voice and a good verse. Don´t really like the childish instrumenal of the intro and refrain. But this is also very typical Hi-nrg attack sound. It is the best male song this far. Good work. This album is quite good so far.

Point: 7/10

12. Jungle Bill: Lucy loose pussy: Hi-nrg Attack and titles. You can just love them. Once again, robust typical Hi-nrg attack sound. I love it.
Really nice bridge, but everything else is to average.

Point: 6/10

13. Dj Romero: Es Todo Fuego: A new sound, and some mix between eurobeat and techno. This is definitly the worst song of the album. The verse suck - bad. And there is a really anoying sound after the refrain that only can be called noice.
But the refrain is great. It saves it from the lowest grade.

Point: 3 /10

Total: 6+/10

Commantary: The Moo volume is in my point of view the less good part of the two series Moo and Cool. This grades is quite expected. I really waiting for the second part of parapara Cool, and i really hope, that Hi-nrg attack could put some old non-relasead-in-full-length Euromach songs. Black Eva - where are you.

Why you make a review if you don't like their music?
HRG is the label that you love or hate, nothing else.

I don't love or hate it... I find them to be mediocre... but increasingly good in recent months.

I don´t want to be rude, but have you read the review????

Because i think Hi-Nrg attack is the number one label!

But even if I think so, it doensn´t mean that every song has the grade 9 or 10, like many of the reviews have.

But I defintily think that Hi-nrg attack were better before, than they are today. Before and under the euromach-era many songs hit 9 or 10 points.

8) Still you don't give any song higher than a seven. On SEB territory this cd would suck? I think I'll download myself, because I can never really say I've heard a "bad" HRG song. Fedirico's vocals are what make a Franz, Mad Cow song so cool.
Your review is decent, but I'll judge for myself. Thanks anyway, bacause your 7's practically insure that I'll give them a 9 and higher :D

Well, well. If you only give 9 and 10 to every song. Why do you have a 10-grade scale when you review a song? You should have 1 and 2.

1 = The best song i have ever heard
2= The best of the best song i have ever heard.

Not every song can be the best you ever heard. In fact only one song, would be the best song ever. And as have written many times, I think the best songs of Attack, is from Euromach-era and before. After that, even our favorite, HI-nrg attack, hasn´t delivered hits that often, like before.

And I can´t find one song, that has the same feeling, as many of the songs from the euromach-era, on Moo vol 2.
I have gave many songs the grade 10, but it is not often. But if you read my earlier reviews, from Hi-nrg attack, you will find at least two 10-graders (I think). It was from Parapara Cool vol 1.

I heard the songs and for the most part this review follows what I would grade them. I was rather dissapointed by the quality of the songs to be honest... Except for the DJ Romero song. I found it to be a very quality song to come out of HRG. The rest is stuff I've heard before.
You can hate me but you know you have quality issues =p

8) how can you say they are not that good anymore. What about "Control, Alt, Deleet and Blow" or "Bazooka" "Black Night Cadillac" "Stop & Go" "Buga Buga Choo Choo" "I Want Your Balalaika"
These are all great songs. I don't care for too much experiments in Eurobeat. I like thier sound from beginning and still works great. Like was stated earlier You Iether Love HRG Attack or you hate em'. There is no inbetween.
I personally like em better than other labels(except TIME). Better vocals, better concept of songs(not all about racing) and better artist names. Comon Joe D. Toaster ,Franz Tornado. That is originality. but that is my opinion :D

Of course there is light in the dark.
I want your balalaika and www.iloveyou is two great exceptions. I grade them 9+ both of them. But the other songs is an ocean from the high grades. And that is not anything i am happy about, but it is my fact.

8)Yeah.. I guess that's what makes Eurobeat fun, we all have different opinions. I feel the same way about SCP. There best time was Euromach, now too much Duets and mush. Make mine GOTO anyday :D
