If they are, you should add them to the discography as well ;)
Todate I have in my collection from SEB vol 1 to.. 160, unfortunately I have not listened yet "Bang Bang" by Cherry
It's a fantastic cover version - one of the best on the SEB series to date. I'd definitely recommend getting the album even just for that song, as Clara (I believe it is her vocals) puts on a great performance! ;)

I love the part before that sample where the synth line rises by two keys before reverting to the original one - such an excellent way to build up the suspence! :D

missing songs

Post by Victor » 11 Apr 2006, 14:40

Hello Pol,

Your site is truly remarkable. You must be a web professional.

Keep up the good work.

However there are a many songs which I enjoy thinking they are Clara songs
but you don't include them. Some Clara classics.

How do qualify the Complete Discography ??

Are you sure it's complete??

You can hate me but you know you have quality issues =p

What about ...

Trisha Every time you want
Giselle Baby I'm sorry
Jilly Call my name
Maltese I hate Mondays
Melanie Bell I don't want to be like you
Morena Open your heart ???

I think these are good Clara Songs not covered in the Discography.
Also Clara does very nice backing and writing on Gipsy and Queen and Sophie albums.

I might be wrong though.

Please correct me if I am.

Oresamachan will know the answer.

Thanks POL

I'm not %100 sure which songs are by Clara.

I had another think about it.

I listened to Linda Ross Move up and down tonight.

I think this is Clara and is missing from the dicography.

Ooh, and Trisha Silver Kisses.

These were sung by Emanuela Gubinelli.

BTW what do you guys think about "Is For You" by Pamela?
All the other female tunes from Radiorama label in that era were
sung by Clara, but this song has not been mentioned as her doing vocals.
If you compare it with Anika - Young Generation, Jilly - Call My Name,
don't you find any similarity? :?:

I just read Oresama's post.

I listened to Giselle - baby I'm sorry Pamela - is for you and Morena - open your heart.

I listened carefully.

I haven't changed my mind.

I don't think Pamela is Clara but I think Giselle and Morena are Clara.

I did recognize Barry White on Pamela is for you.

I listened to Jilly Call my name and am now less sure that this is Clara.

Same as Pamela ???

Sorry Oresama perhaps my ears are not sharp enough.

What do others think?

I agree with Oresama about Morena, I haven't heard the other song by Giselle. But I definately agree that it wasn't Clara who sang that Morena song.

Emanuela Gubinelli has a distinct voice that can be differentiated (at least for me) from Clara.

Listen to other Emanuela Gubinelli songs like... High Frequency - Hot Summer Nights, Claire Deny - Angel, Ika - Go Godzilla Go, Ann Sinclaire - I Need A Miracle.

Yeah, as Shawaazu said, her voice is quite deep and distinctive IMO.
For the ppl who've never heard "Giselle - Baby I'm Sorry", here is a small
clip.

To Pol
I have a technical question for you.
Some Japanese eurobeaters are reporting me that they can't access claradance.com for whatever reason. I suggested them some thinkable answers, but in vain.

So I looked into the html source of the website and discovered Screen Size Redirect script is used. Well, my question is which page they are to redirected to if the resolution of their screen is 1600 x 1200, or something like those which aren't 800 x 600, 1024 x 768 or 1280x1024.
I suspect this javascript should be the cause of their problem. :?:
