Wow, I never would have thought that Can Can World would actually turn out to be one of the stronger sounding tracks on this album, but judging from these samples, that might be what has happened...

It should be no surprise to anyone that knows me that I adore the Pamsy track - she is returning to her pinnacle with certain synth effects that are taken straight from "So Fragile" and the melody is gorgeous!

Move On Now Baby - perhaps unsurprisingly - is another tracks that stands out for me, maybe because it has the same atmosphere as a Pamsy track, even though Megan's vocals don't quite have the rich tone yet. Still, this one sounds cool.

Can Can World is just a piece of fun. I honestly hope people don't take it too seriously - it's light, bouncy and makes me smile; and that's something that very few Eurobeat tracks can do nowadays...

Hello, Hello! could be pretty damn sweet - I adore that guitar throughout the chorus and it has a nice old-school feel about the vocals.

Spitfire's synth hook is awesome, but the chorus completely washes overme - like two old cabarets singers trying to recapture their once powerful sound, it just sounds a bit flat.

Everything else made no impression or wasn't worth commenting on. Disappointed by Mari-San - that's one ugly sounding song...

But that's exactly the problem for most people I think - they don't want to embrace anything that is outwith their perception of what Eurobeat should be. Personally, I think Can Can World sounds more Eurobeat than some other tracks here (Secret Destination is Hyper Techno to my ears), but it will be personal tastes I reckon.

I love Can Can World (been in my top 10 for two weeks now). I'd much rather this bundle of fun over most of the crap that's being put on SEB these days.

You have another follower of the song. Like someone else mentioned on the thread, this song is more entertaining that other stuff on the SEB albums nowadays...

CCW and most other very happy songs is the reason I like eurobeat so much! Why I've always been a fan of Go Go Girls, Kiki & Co., and HI-NRG ATTACK females...

I also feel that GO 2 is becoming bleh after I heard Spitfire. Of course, it's just a sample, but do we really need to keep hearing this testosterone-drenched style all of the time? The only singer in that area I enjoy nowadays is Manuel, but that's just IMHO.

I just wanted to say that I completely agree with this comment - Manuel seems to be coming up with new, fresh performances while Go2 are really sounding a little washed-up like they need an injection of new ideas. The only good part of the Spitfire sample was the section with no vocals :P

Best comment of the whole thread since samples were put up. I think it's the whole Ennio fever from the 170s that got me down. My roommate, on the other hand, has a crush on Ennio...

I SECOND THE NEED FOR MORE DAMON!

Hrm...Idk if I really would call it bashing. Nope. It just seems that people have hyped GO 2 up so so much and I'm disappointed by the sound of the new song. Just doesn't sound new and fresh like I would expect from this duo.

O.k. "Bashing" was a strong word. I meant compared to all the praises SCP usually gets. I uased t5o really dig Go 2(until SEB 181) Then it's been all downhill. Some members are even starting to get annoyed at Transy Pamsy too.

What does that say about the current style of Eurobeat when even the favorites are starting to get a negative raised eyebrow? :???:

A change in tastes, or at least a jading of perspective. Even the best of artists eventually get exhausted if they don't try different things.

I agree with you completely about Go2, but I don't think Pamsy should change her style at all. She has been given something completely unique by the team at SCP - a completely unique style that is unused by any other vocalist. Whether you like this style or not is a completely different matter, but what I'm trying to say is that the Eurobeat world is a more varied and more interesting place with Pamsy's style in it.

I realise that you'll probably disregard this opinion to a certain degree because of my public adoration of Pamsy, but I hope at least someone realises the point I'm trying to put across. I first heard Pamsy's amazing style on 156 (my first full SEB album) with Ace in "2love, 4love" and was totally blown away by how unique the song sounded. Having grown up with Trance and Eurodance music, I can assure you that the only resemblance between the two styles are the synths with a high level of reverb. The beats in "Pamsy Eurobeat" are completely different from anything you'd find in Trance music as are the melodies and structures.

Anyway, sorry if I've taken this slightly off-topic, I just thought I'd say my piece. The fact is that Go2 have lost their spark - their "mojo" - while Pamsy is very much still doing what only she can do. And not just that, she is still doing it with emotion and conviction.

Is it really a "fact"? Personally, this sample has got me wanting the song far far more than Blood On Fire, even though I warmed up to that song really fast after it came out. I think the energy behind the Go 2 productions is still present.
