Geezus, it sounds more like some raging Hyper Techno song in that sample rather than Eurobeat!

I hear no tekno in that whatsoever :) Sounds like Elena on vocals. Really couldn't tell much other than it sounds like a fun song.

Yeah, I kinda figured that! ;-) Just amused by the difference a poor microphoned sample can make to a song to the point of making it sound like a completely different genre!

Sounds very...."jaunty". I still think the song has been done to death in terms of covers, but I'm hoping a trademark piece of Eurogrooves production magic may make me love the track again. :)

So Monkey Dance was added onto the Long Versions list on the IIDX Empress OST. Interesting that it's being released twice in April.

When was this ever an issue? Just refer back to the atrocity that was 'Para Girl', which Avex released on three different compilations in one month. Now Avex will do the same thing with 'Monkey Dance.'

Gatti's older songs also received mass airplay, but it was all justified since they were actually pretty good. There's something about her newer releases that's just so irritating and jangly, they're borderline unlistenable.

That's mainly because GGMs uses those atrocious "Airy synths" for her songs. Hopefully Monkey Dance will feature harder synths used in Thomas Marin and Manuel songs, because that Youtube preview itself sounded allright

Y&Co used the same synths from the original; it's not a GGM production as much as it is a Y&Co one. GGM will still sound just the way they are unless they themselves change drastically.

They're also the rage in the eurobeat community in Japan so the chances of them changing they're instrumentations especially since it's so successful is slim to none.

Seems that everyone had forgotten about this release!

Samples are up!!

3. MONKEY DANCE '09 / Y&Co. feat. DOMINO
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 196-03.asx

4. MAMMA MIA / VERONICA
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 196-04.asx

5. LOVE IN THE ELEVATOR / DAVE RODGERS
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 196-05.asx

6. BYE BYE TOKYO / DELTA QUEENS
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 196-06.asx

7. BRIGHT TIME / JAY LEHR
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 196-07.asx

8. HANAMI / APRIL
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 196-08.asx

9. GIVE ME SUNSHINE / FUTURA
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 196-09.asx

10. STARGATE / STARKLY ICE
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 196-10.asx

11. UPSIDE DOWN / QUEEN 26
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 196-11.asx

12. PIRATES / RICH HARD
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 196-12.asx

13. KING AND QUEEN / TORA
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 196-13.asx

14. SHOT SHOT SHOT / GIORGIA V
http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 196-14.asx

A really interesting surprise package I reckon - One Day and Upside Down both sound great, and I'm liking the slower HRG and SCP sounds.

Who the heck is Rich Hard under (label?) - it sounds cool whoever it is. If it is A-Beat C, I'm hoping to hear more tracks in this style in the future!

I'll definitely pick-up a copy of this when I'm over in Japan in May after hearing these :)

definitely going to have to wait until the album comes out... hated Pirates and Stargate sample because they kind of sucked D: I see SCP is trying to experiment using robotic voices in Hanami too...didn't like that aspect, but it's a good sample. I thought the King & Queen sample was actually kind of fun... the intro is cool :D

Bright Time is so HOT omg!!!

'Bright Time' and 'Hanami' were the best picks off this release for me. I had high hopes for the Jay Lehr track since 'Wildlife' really blew me away, and for once I'm not disappointed!

A-Beat C was just dreadful.

2. ONE DAY / KATE RUSH
From the samples, this is yet another song I'm bond to love :!:

3. MONKEY DANCE '09 / Y&Co. feat. DOMINO
Sounds good without a plus :)

4. MAMMA MIA / VERONICA
Ugh. It sounds energy less. :(

5. LOVE IN THE ELEVATOR / DAVE RODGERS
Good song. Nothing more, nothing less. :)

6. BYE BYE TOKYO / DELTA QUEENS
Oh sh*t! Fast song! Newfield is really the faster of fast songs! Yet, this song sounds awesome. :D

7. BRIGHT TIME / JAY LEHR
The first real good song since I'm Alive. Well, I cannot confirm until the release :!:

8. HANAMI / APRIL
Hey, I like that!! Not suprised to Ai Yamamoto on piched up vocals here. :D

9. GIVE ME SUNSHINE / FUTURA
Is it me or the song sounds sooooooo empty until the riff? Not sure to be able to like this one. :|

10. STARGATE / STARKLY ICE
It sounds so-so... :|

11. UPSIDE DOWN / QUEEN 26
Ooh... two Delta. Anyway, I'm really not blown away by this song. :(

12. PIRATES / RICH HARD
This song sounds pretty OK to me. :|

13. KING AND QUEEN / TORA
I was worried at first but now I think it kicks ass. It's the real first Sinclaire song I really love on first hearing. :!:

14. SHOT SHOT SHOT / GIORGIA V
Good. Nothing more nothing less. :|
