Sex Killer, Bang Bang Cowboy, and Set Me Free are my top 3 favorites from this album. Is it just me or does BBC sound like the spiritual successor to "Wild Boy" by Toby Ash? It has to be one of the best Dima Music tracks to date, imo.

1. Yo Shine - I Dream Of You - 4/5

Great dance feeling but somehow doesn't feels as epic as the chorus makes it seem. Tries to outdo "Power Of My Love" and "CooLover" while borrowing elements from both but doesn't. Very good track though.

2. Ace - Set Me Free - 5/5

A hot song with great singing and pretty decent speed. Has that trance/dance sound with great power. Should be on an Initial D CD. Best Ace track since his cover of "Wait For You".

3. Annalise - Love Toy - 4/5

Decent track from the A-Beat C vault that is actually better than other Annalise releases in the new period (170s to 190s). Starts off with weak synths that picks up and has a decent amount of feeling.

4. Mr. Moog - Cowboy - 3/5

I like the western effects but the song doesn't really do anything for me. It reminds me of the Dima tracks he did with Time back from the 100s to the 140s. I preferred the other Mr. Moog songs and sounds.

5. Virginelle - Baby Come Back 4/5

I like the sounds (Aishu mixed with trance eurobeat) but again (as it seems with every Gobbi GoGos track) the song is complicated musically. The first verse sounds like a chorus and the actual chorus doesn't seem to fit with the actual song. It almost seems like they're trying too hard. I miss the simpler and easier flowing Lolita & Virginelle tracks but this one is good.

6. DJ Space'C - Danger Zone 1/5

Outside of the sound being similar to the one Mr. Bean song from Europanic!, the song does nothing for me and seems like filler material from Farina. Disappointing.

7. David & Toy - You & I 2/5

I enjoy the song however I just find it too similar to previous stuff released by Dima over the years to warrant too many plays. I'm disappointed because I know Dima is capable of so much more. The female singer is very good however.

8. Joe D. Toaster - Crazy Diamond 4/5

Great song with great Aishu sounds and Festari sounds fantastic. The chorus is awesome and fantastic. I enjoy this song.

9. Melissa White - Movin' & Lovin' 4/5

A decent song from the SCP archives but this sound from SCP is pretty outdated now. I love Melissa's singing as always but theres a part of me that wants to hear her with SCP's new style. Strong song as "Promised Discoland".

10. Megan - Time To Say Bye Bye 2/5

I feel like Sinclaire has done this song with Clara in the past. It sounds uninspired and way too fast for the style. I love Roberta Grana, but this song doesn't feel right for her.

11. CY-RO - Jump On The Sound 5/5

Awesome powerful "violent" HRG style with perfect singing! I love that there's no pitched female background vocals as is usual with faster HRG tracks. I do miss Rimonti as CY-RO but Festari did an awesome job here!

12. Go Go Girls - Sex Killer 4/5

Starts off as if you're going into Alice In Wonderland and then it goes into the GoGos Music style that I enjoy. The way the song is sung reminds me of a dark "I Wanna Be Fat" and "Hot Vampire". A good song but I am still left wanting a little more. Awesome singing by both Domino and Lolita.

13. Claire M. - M.U.S.I.C. - 5/5

Awesome singing that is very comparable to Stefania. Has an epic sound to it almost as if she's singing the song from within a large chapel. The guitar in the first verse that makes way to the synths of the bridge are sexy. The chorus seems to be a conflict between good and evil (hence the epicness). A very unexpected and awesome song.

14. Digital Planet - A New Day 5/5

Loved the song back then, love it now. The song is trippy with the synths (which is how a Digital Planet song should be). The chorus and singing are awesome.

15. King & Queen - Ya Ya Ya (Slow Mix) 1/5

Didn't like the original much and find this version very weak.

Baby Come Back makes me so happy... there's something way special about this one. The track finally reminds me of the good old upbeat Elena material and the extra vocals by Alessandra fit the track perfectly new favorite definitely. Reviews upcoming soon for both of the albums.

Is it just me or does BBC sound like the spiritual successor to "Wild Boy" by Toby Ash? It has to be one of the best Dima Music tracks to date, imo.

hey, It's great to see someone remember that great song. I also think it has that Vibe from the DELTA song of the same name. Remember "Cowboy" from Mad Max? Anyway, it's defiantely a flashback to that classic Eurobeat sound of the 90s. Most definately my favourite new song and top contender for best use of a piano saloon effect. BTW, pay no mind to that new title AVEX gave it. For me it remains Bang Bang Cowboy

Seriously, I'm at a loss of words with Baby Come Back. This sort of music doesn't get published often. EVERYTHING, just EVERYTHING about this song is so finetuned and produced to perfection. The first album in a while I preordered and definitely it was worth it.

Elena Gobbi

I am soooo happy to see that some people have realised the sheer melodic brilliance of Baby Come Back. Elena Gobbi's vocals just bring the melody to life in such a vivid and beautiful way, and I can't stop singing it! It's still a bit short of being the new "Good Love & Mystery" but it definitely gives me the same feelings when I listen to it

Gonna have to add to the Elena Gobbi train. I haven't enjoyed a song by her this much since Stop The Time Tonight. Everything clicks to me and sounds look the good old Lolita from the A-Beat-C days, especially Loving Tonight.

I'll get to reviewing the album because it wasn't a disappointment like 211 was.

I'm not 100% sold on 'Baby Come Back'; it doesn't possess the same kind of wow factor as 'Sex Killer' does, in my opinion of course. But those two songs are definitely up there among the best on this release. Looks like GGM have done something right for a change!

There's so much filler material on this release though. It's not even funny.

I am up there with the praises of "Baby Come Back", it's one of GGM's and Elena herself's best song since what? Goodnight Kiss. Sex Skiller, not so much, I just don't really like the Go Go Girl's "style" of things.

Anyways, M.U.S.I.C is tasty, really tasty, one of the best Dima tracks I've ever heard. Will see where I can add more later.

Well, I most say that this album is DEFINITELY MUCH better than 211. By far.

01. "I Dream Of You" by Yo Shine (SCP)
Definitely, this song has the punch to become a long-time hit. The intro is sweet and catchy. The riff is very good. The peak of the song is definetely the chorus. Overall, the vocals are excellent. Production too. Defintely a hit.

02. "Set Me Free" by Ace (SCP)
Extremely short extended; too bad I guess. That was the only downside of the song methinks. The song has a lot of energy in stock and somehow, reminds me a bit of "What D'You Want From Me" by Jager. Vocals are alternating from a "wispering" style of vocal and actual singing. Pretty good style put to good use. Chorus is definetely catchy.
Overall, very catchy but not as much I Dream Of You. Definitely too short.

03. "Love Toy" by Annalise (A-Beat-C)
Finally some unreleased goodness. Very quiet intro. Can difintely throw away somebody. But, fortunately, the riff saves the day. The vocals sounds a bit weird at first. But, it ajusts itself nicely with the music. Overall, very decent older song! The nice and fast beat is defintely what I love the most with this nice bridge and chorus!

04. "(Bang Bang) Cowboy" by Mr.Moog (Dima)
Old Dima sound is definetely the best! That intro is pretty good and catchy. The riff is innovative with those chimes. Vocals are well executed and shounds amazing. Overall, it's one hell of a joy ride! The guitar added in the verses adds this energy. Overall, definetely a big hit! Is it me or... it reminds me a lot Time productions?

05. "Baby Come Back" by Virginelle (Go Go's Music)
How could I describe this? Sounds a lot of the sound we got back in the 190s. Definitely. Vocals are AMAZING on this song. Perfect fit with the sound world. The riff is also a perfect fit with the rest of the song. Overall, this song adds itself to the hits this album includes. Has a lot of replay value.

06. "Danger Zone" by DJ Space'C (Speed Records)
Hahahaha. This reminds me so much of the JTrance that appeared back then on SEB 183. Although, it's far from sounding the same, it's definitely NOT Eurobeat. Too bad Saifam/Asia is short Eurobeat song wise... I mean original new songs. Now back to the song, no, back to me, (/reference), huh... I mean, really back to the song. This song sounds really nice. Nice fast beat, nice simple dance synths. Vocals are definitely what I love the most. Makes me want to sing along. Overall, this song is a great (hard) dance track. Lovin' it!

07. "You & I" by David & Toy (Dima)
Oh boy... déjà vu. It sounds a lot of duet I heard before... duets I didn't really liked. But this one is really decent and definitely well produced. I wouldn't rate this track 10, because I would be lying. This is a good song but... it kinds of miss something I can't put my finger on it.

08. "Crazy Diamond" by Joe The Toaster. (Low-NRG Attack)
Habitually, I would say "N/A" then rate this 0. But you know, back at the beginning of the SEB volumes, there are actually a couple of selected tracks that I love like "Hero" by Aleph or "Bad Desire" by F.C.F. This one is one of them. The riff is OK but what makes this song good is definitely the vocals and the chorus. Very soulful song and I like it.

Btw, I did "review" this at the original BPM (122 BPM), not an accelerated version of this.

09. "Movin' & Lovin'" by Melissa White (SCP)
Retro SCP intro much? Well, well... the riff is good but the verse is kinda lame. Bridge is definitely brings back stuff up. And the chorus is OK. Overall, it's a good song but I wouldn't play it over and over. More of a song I wouldn't mind listening if it would be playing.

10. "Time To Say Bye Bye" by Megan (SinclaireStyle)
Meh. I can't stand that chorus. So, what's the point of listening to this? Well, the verse and bridge are OK. The riff is medium-decent. Overall, I think this is below average. God, this chorus is annoying.

11. "Jump On The Sound" by Cy-Ro (Hi-NRG Attack)
I was pretty excited for a fast Hi-NRG Attack song. The song is very nice overall : the intro, the verse and bridge... but GAWD. What the hell is wrong with the chorus. That kills everything. Dead serious. Overall, if it wouldn't be of that chorus, I would of rated this at least 8.5 but, sorry, 7 is all you get.

Definitely a weird intro. The riff is really good. The energy is flowing overall. And, it's definitely "Sex Skiller" then "Sex killer". Vocals are pretty good. What else can I say...? Well, overall, it's a very good song. Not the best of the album but definitely not bad at all!

13. "M.u.s.i.c" by Claire M. (Dima)
Pop intro sounds like pop. But then, wham! The song itself is decent but sounds too Pop-Rock to me; at least, the verses. The chorus is pretty good. The vocalist has a lot of talent and has a nice voice. Overall, it's a decent song but wouldn't play it much but wouldn't mind it if it was playing on the radio or something.

14. "A New Day" by Digital Planet (A-Beat-C)
yet another unreleased in extended song. The alias... we haven't seen it since the 170s? The 180s? Well, anyway... the intro is VERY A-Beat-Cesque. Very calm. Then, a nice dreamy riff pops up. The vocals adds a nice dreamy effect to the song. I can see this song as my favorite Digital Planet song (more than "Fly Away"). Overall, an excellent dreamy and energetic song (yes, both together!). Definitely in the top of the album!

15. Ya Ya Ya (Slow Mix) by King & Queen (A-Beat-C)
Short is the word here. Well, it didn't much space that way because it's litterally out of place. The song sounds like a "Last Version" without a beat. Boring to death.

Most of the album is defintely pleasant to hear. Much more energetic than the train wreck that was SEB 211. Defintely worth a buy. I can see Eurobeat getting back on track if it keeps of quality AND speed.

I'm not jumping on any love for Virgenelle train, but there is something more powerful in the synths that GoGoMusic label used on this cd. I also like the Sex Skiller track better, but this new Virgenelle is defiantley in my top 5 favourite from her. Up there with Wanna Be Over The Moon and Hot Love & Emotion. oh yeah, & Love Sex & Money or is that Lollita? I get confused.

Anyway my top 3 at the moment are
1. Mr. Moog- Bang Bang Cowboy(big surprise heh)
2. Joe D. Toaster- Crazy Diamond (amazing)
3. Digital Planet- A New Day (Dreamy)

I'm convinced Jump On The Sound was created from two entirely different songs, buty still catchy enough for me.

Need to put this compilation a few 100 more x on repeat before I do any review, but it definately surprised me....and I'm probobly the only one not liking the Ace track at all.

An early commentary since I'll largely be on vacation from tomorrow and will probably be too occupied to do one before this thread meets it's place in the oblivion. My first impressions of an album doesn't change much for the most part unless it's a very long time later so here we go.

I Dream Of You / Yo Shine [7.5/10]: Great song but definitely not going to leave longlasting impressions due to personal preference. Can see the Yo Shine and SCP fans treating this as their porn though. What I especially like about this song are the backing vocals, mainly during the chorus. They just give the song so much appeal that I ended up liking this song more than I should have. Nothing much to complain about really.

Set Me Free / Ace [9/10]: Damn stellar! BUT BUT BUT one drawback, too short! Barely enough time to feel the groove at all before it ends, that's my only complain with this song. Anyways, what I like most about the song is Ace's one liners during the verses, cool and catchy are what it is. Overall, to say anything otherwise about this song would be blasphemy. Would be a 10/10 if it had a longer run time.

Love Toy / Annalise [7/10]: Having been utterly captivated by the previous few rock-ish sounding productions from Sun Fire, it feels somewhat odd to hear the lighter synths of A-Beat-C once again. Similar to Yo Shine's, it's a great song but probably not going to follow me around for too long, it's just a typical 170s-190s Annalise track that really isn't anywhere near the awesomeness that was Loverboy,

Cowboy / Mr Moog [5/10]: Very, VERY disappointing. Considering the general high level that Mr Moog has displayed so far, this one was really mediocre and boring. Granted the riff is pretty amazing, but the rest just feels like filler. I still like Claudio Magnani though, so hopefully the next song achieves a 100% kill. Cowboy from Mad Max was way better.

Baby Come Back / Virginelle [9/10]: I haven't exactly been the biggest fan of GGM and Elena as well in recent times but even then, they just have to amaze sooner or later. This song is really good, and like I have said previously, it sounds sort of dated, but I suppose it's the way Sandra and Co wanted it to sound like so not much complaints there. Elena can sound really good if she wants to, and in this song, that's what she does. One of the best Elena GGM presentation since Goodnight Kiss.

Danger Zone / DJ Space C [8/10]: Hmm, all around solid song for me, definitely more than what I'd expect. Like GGM, I haven't been too optimistic about Saifam, but there's no denying the goodness this song possess.

You & I / David & Toy [3.5/10]: David Dima and his wife singing eurobeat together? Wow! Well, let's just put this to light, this song is ... BORING! It just feels too dull for me. Really disappointing presentation overall.

Crazy Diamond / Joe D Toaster [10/10]: Crazy D-hai-mond much? Write me off as a Festari basher or whatever, I just don't feel too at home with the way Festari pronounces the word, especially when it's so in your face it's hard to ignore. Aside from that small little rant, what I've previously complained about Festari fortunately doesn't apply here and to top it off, the melody's actually pretty damn fantastic, so fantastic in fact that I'd go as far as ranking this higher than Gogo The Night, which was already quite a good song to begin with. If Festari can keep up with stellar performances like these, then all would be golden. An inclusion into one of my top tracks this year most definitely.

Movin' & Lovin' / Melissa White [2.5/10]: There's only so much boring-ness I can take before it all goes down the drain.

Time To Say Bye Bye / Megan [9.5/10]: Haven't heard such a great sounding female Sinclaire Style track in a while, especially since the last disappointing release. As with any Megan/Tora track, the vocal melody steals the show. It's not that the riff isn't good but it sort of feels like it's just there because it had to, but no major complaints though. I have also been a frequent praiser of Roberta's vocals and once again, she does really well here too. Absolutely her best female track since 1,2,3,4 Live On Dance Floor.

Jump On The Sound / Cy-Ro [6/10]: Hi-NRG Attack back to their roots! Oh damn am I feeling quite underwhelmed. It feels great to hear a fast Hi-NRG song again but let's just leave it at that. This song isn't exactly that exciting and as some forumers have pointed out, it sounds as if the team got so used to producing the low-nrgs that they just slapped the slow style way of producing onto a faster song. The result is a legit questioning of what this song is trying to accomplish in the first place. I also hate the bunch of hey-hey-heys, they're really annoying and grate really fast on my ears. Overall, not a bad song but get the identities right next time.

Sex Skiller / Go Go Girls [6.5/10]: Oh wow nice intro and, oh nice riff too. The rest of the song? Meh, nothing special. The girls themselves aren't bad singers but sometimes, I just don't really like them singing in a "macho" style, doesn't feel right at all. Other than that, okay song but not a fantastic one by any means.

M.U.S.I.C / Claire M [10/10]: This song ... is f-king solid as hell! One of the best Dima productions to date. It blends together soothing and power like no other. On one end, you have the verses that sound so calm and the next moment, Claire's all like "MMUUSSIICC!", it's as satisfying as it can get. The melody? Oh no, don't even get me started on how good it is, it's the kind that Dima does best at. Not much else to say. 10/10 flawless stuff right here and a definite inclusion into one of my top tracks this year.

A New Day / Digital Planet [7/10]: Nice intro and breakdown right there but like the Annalise song previously, I just can't help but feel weird listening to these old-style A-Beat-C tracks after having been swept over by the previous Sun Fire tracks. DP's vocals are okay but I don't like the way he sings the line "A New Day, tomorrow" and "It's My Day ... bla", it feels weird. Overall, good, but not longlasting material. He'd have to do a new "Today", "Take Me Forever", "West End Guy" or "Try To Believe Me" for it to be a 10/10 material.

For real? Are you telling me that the melody of Crazy Diamond is superior to both Rainy Days and Cherry Lips?? I'll be honest, I have never been one to really obsess over who actually provides the vocals for tracks, so forgive me if those tracks aren't sung by the same guy who does Crazy Diamond, but I just find myself a bit bored by the melody on the whole. It doesn't really go very far, and some of the production decisions on the song leave quite a bit to be desired as well (the way the intro seems to blend aimlessly into the main synth hook and the over-emphasis of the crazy bassline to name just two things). For me, this is the most unrefined of Hi-NRG Attack's recent slower tracks, and for that reason it just can't hold a candle to any of them.

I was glad to see that I'm also not the only person that thinks the Go Go Girls track was more "ugh, meh" than "oh yeah!!" - I came to a realisation last night that any GGG tracks I've really liked have always had Elena Gobbi right at the forefront and they haven't been any of the silly gimmicky ones (except My Sweet Banana I guess...) - I guess I'd just rather hear a solo song from Lolita or Virginelle than a GGG track nowadays.
