Clip of Dave's song. Not too bad this time!
yes Vintage AbeatC. Not only this, but I wish more of the labels would return to that sound. Dave surely got his kickstart from a fun loving honeymoon. The fact that the song has the older Skool sound put me at ease for a great song legnth.

two great sounding clips so far. Let's keep em coming. 8)

You know...cuz....song length...
MOST IMPORTANT THING EVER!

Haha. But, seriously, I think there are only a few people that get wound up about length. If it's good at the length that's given to us, then fine. I grew up in the euro world when 4 minute radio edits were the thing....c'est la vie.

Track length matters. If avex sells SEB as "extended version", then there should be only extendeds! However, I wouldn't have a problem with the comeback of SEB Edits (18 tracks per album) if you can purchase extendes online. That'd also give labels more space to show their creations.

Ya, if you're going to do the 4 min. cap, then go back to the 18 track selection.

I just think it's all preference when it comes to length. To me, rarely does an extend make a big difference to the overall feeling of the song. And sometimes, an extend is just repeating the same parts over and over. Do I have the capacity for a 4-5 minute song or something 6-7 minutes? The former. Again, that's just me. Like I said, the love of edits or extends usually comes from when you got into the genre.

I don't think a song is bad because of an edited length whatsoever. So I have to laugh when people are all, "it better be [insert time] or else it's not gonna be good..."

I guess I just don't get the deal with length...

Well, an SEB Edit doesn't make a song bad. But I do like to hear to instrumental parts and such "extra stuff". Of course, it's not neccessary for the song but it's a nice bonus I'd pay for if avex would deal with SEB as in my example.

Now this I agree with. I think artists need to start making tracks with more interesting parts if they're going to pull the 5-6 min mark. SS does great at this...Delta just starts repeating. Mama Mia did have a nice little mid-section with the Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh's.

OMG... My goal was to "trigger" drnrg's love for old-school extendeds and the fact that Sunfire, like SCP and Go Go's, have been churning out 4min extendeds since their existence. Then, receive a "Darn, that's unfortunate" reply. I was also on mobile when I posted this.

Well, I( barely saw your comment, but Kira TM ; pretty much has the right idea.

I would like to add that some labels have forgotten how to make proper extendeds. It's not just adding instrumental parts in place of sung verses. It's all those special parts that appeared during the intros and mid breaks. I blame it on Mp3 taking the place of Vinyls. The extended 's last real hype was Dall Ora. The man knew how to make some amazing extended tracks. Delta made the best Extendeds in the 90s. Along with HRG Attack and Vibration. ABeatC had there best era during mid 90s when they first started.

As for Dave's new track. Sun Fire releases some great extendeds once in a along while, so I'm not really expecting something earth shattering, in terms of Song legnth, but if that song is only four minutes; then it's real potential will be lost somewhere in the mixing room. :P

^^^ So, the thing is, eurobeat is not made to be played out like other EDM genres are where you would get intro/outro mixing (such as happy hardcore, hard house, trance, etc), which is why the non-stops are always cut after the riff. Honestly, those Euromachs are some of the best mixed Eurobeat titles you'll find (for eurobeat). It never hurts for the DJs to be creative with the Best Of's either, as I'm sure WE ALL expect a DJ to do something creative.

I love the non-stops, especially the older additions where the DJs were more creative in transitions and those grinding noises, and the tracks were sped up.
