Jay
SOTD: ANOTHER PASSION / LINDA (186)
Just wondering if you mean the 186 edit or the extended? The extended is so much better. I agree! Great song. Love the intro. Sounds like you are actually about to listen to a vinyl.

I choose another Elena Ferretti songs. Vanessa- The Final Countdown
This is anotherone of those songs that I have on vinyl, but have never been able to come across the mp3.

Cody - Die Die

Really cool song! I love singing over it (both the acappella and instrumental)

My song for today is an oldie, more in the italo-disco era, but still awesome, and warrants some attention since it seemed to have inspired others.

Sabrina Salerno - Boys boys boys
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8B8sNXpcGg

She is still as sexy today, or even more so than her 80's days.

Her song seemed to have spawned a few others singers to start sing about 'boys boys boys."
one being Smile DK - boys
whose song was pretty popular in Japan since it was used for the Dance Dance Revolution game.

Smile DK - boys
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObyDKXHHshM
(notice how in one scene the singer is also in a "pool" of water" up to her chest, just like sabrina in her song "boys boys boys").

Did lady gaga perhaps copy the lyrics in her chorus as well when she also sings "boys boys boys"??? or is it just coincidence? you decide...

Whatever the case, Sabrina's version is untouchable, and she is by far the sexiest of them.

yes!!! Great Italo oldie. That's the kind of rapping that I like. It fits Italo. Reminds me so much of the first Vanessa songs on TIME. Remeber Be My Lady or Just A Game

I choose Just A Game from Vanessa
Also one of my first TIME records vinyls.

I love how the synth riff is basically the same as Just A Game, even the rapper is the same.I'm pretty sure he was in Sophie - Rapture as well. I wonder where he went, loved his little raps 8)

Anyway, today's song is Veronica Sales - Keep On Trying
If I'm not mistakes, the vocalist also does Karen, Wain L and Kelly Wright?
One of my personal favs. Powerful vocals perfect for eurobeat :D

Elena Rapps in there as well. I used to think that rapper was Mauro Farina, because he resembles the vocals at the start of Boom Boom Dollars

Anyone know for sure, who that rapper voice was?

I choose Sophie's cover of the Blondie Hit "Rapture"

I really like this song. It sounds like an overall great idea. I just wished they had used the whole rap from Blondie's song. "Shoots You dead and he eats your head" was one of the lines ommitted from this cover, but still a great song.

Thanks for the info!

Today I'll be going with a song that defines part of the 80's sound to me. Super cheesy and thoroughly enjoyable track.

Great one indeed. I'll up you one more in cheese factor, but it's my super guilty pleasure. Years later I found out the lyrics and what Eddy really sang about, but who cares; I still love the song.

I initially gave my today's song a pretty average review, but lately, it is sort of growing on me very fast, so here goes,

You Could Be Mine / Dream Fighters

Your 666th post confirms it. That song's the devil.

Today I'll pick my favourite "around the world" song from one of my favourite singers. It's fun, powerful and inspiring!

Kelly Wright - Live In Tokyo
