It's all about the money sometimes. The deal SAIFAM got with Avex probably wasn't as good as the deals they get with the indy labels.

08. POWER / GO 2
(S.Castagna - C.Codenotti - A.Contini - E.Zanini - E.Somenzi) / Pro: S.Castagna & A.Contini

12. DIE DIE / CODY
(R.Arduini - C.Moroni) / Pro: R.Arduini

Now that's quite unusual, isn' it?

In other news, it seems the Queen 26 track is produced by M.Capaldi, not Newfield... :?
It also seems Annerley Gordon is part of the new Groove Twins! :)

Hmm... Well, didn't they also collaborate for Fuku Wa Uchi? Although it is odd seeing an SCP track with FIVE cowriters. Aside from Fuku Wa Uchi.

Well, no Contini in the credits:
(A.Gatti - S.Oliva - A.Kozato - S.Castagna - C.Codenotti) / Pro: S.Castagna & Domino

But yeah, I immediately thought about FWU...
Could it be that some A-Beat C artist is now part of GO2?

Wow, things are really quiet for this release - no samples at all, and cdjapan are already showing it in stock...

What's going on Avex? Whet our appetite just a little!

Dang, I am itching for this album. Seems like it is out at Japan

Contini is no longer part of A.Beat-C... I thought he was setting up his own label but I guess he decided to join SCP instead.

And also keep in mind that A.Beat-C and SCP are closely connected labels so these things aren't strange at all.

By the way I'm thrilled that Annerley wrote THREE tracks for this album! She's fully back now!

Heh, well if nothing else, it sounds like Annerley Gordon's well and truly back into the swing of things at A-Beat C :D

Dang a new label would have been nice, with Gelmetti off working hard on Akyr, Benati with Blast! and Davide with Dima...that would have been neat ^^.

No why? Contini leaving is a great loss for the scene. What you must understand is that all these people add something to the process and that when they combine their forces and chemistry magical music is created. Who needs 10 mediocre labels when you can have 5 that are truly outstanding? I'd like to see Time, ABeatC (possibly even with SCP), Asia/Flea and Delta completely reinstated leaving all arguments behind. They can delete more than 50% of their artists and pick some that they are actually gonna profile. We need more quality! The 160s were great but the quality of 1989-1995 seems so far away :(

Indeed as the compiliated efforts of all these names did make something great. I really do like to see where their own inspirations and innovations without constraints can lead them. Heck, look at Akyr that is definitely a fresh new sound of creative genius. I would definitely say that is a far cry from a 'mediocre' effort. Likewise, Dima continues to exceed and develop in style as well such as with his new track "Help Me," truely an exemplary work. So I don't think it too much of a bad thing for names to go out and do their own thing for experimentation. (Personally the 160s seem to be taking Eurobeat back up)

Also, with more labels, it would give more space for artists that are not so prevalent to actually have a spotlight. For example, if Blast! were more prevalent, perhaps we may see Nick Key's performance more often ^^.

What you say is true, but what has this got to do with labels? More with label management if you ask me. In the past we had several "teams" within labels, that were totally free in their own ideas yet had the opportunity to work with other great producers at any time. Unfortunately in 2006 any catfight results into a new label, a new brand, with new artists and thus more diversion. In a Japanese market that's losing its interest in Eurobeat and a genre that has been lacking for almost a decade I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to create a bigger force against other music styles.

Omitting HRG, or throwing them back to Time? :P

But hey, with Contini doing work with Castagna now, possibility of some artist crossovers? In any case, if it results in a new, good, solid sound, which wouldn't be surprising from those two working together, all the better.

And this time Clara did the vocals for Queen 26. I think the proper artist name should be Queen 42 in this case. :P

OMG ! I have a suspicion that he might partner with Bratt Sinclaire again.
