Dave Rodgers & Kasanova
Seems like Kasanova is a cover of Lou Grant's "What Kind Of Cure". That song is perfect so I can't imagine how they are going to destroy it. I guess they don't want to use the original name of the artist either, just like with Vanity's "Take A Look In My Heart". Would like to hear some other covers too, like DeNiro's "Give It Up" or Danny Keith's "Lean On Me"
As far as Dave Rodgers, the only thing I can think of with that title is the old italo classic "Watch Out" by Doctor's Cat. I always thought of that as more of an instrumental though like Popcorn.
Glad to see Call Girl has been finally picked up. This will be the first time it has been released in an extended form. I baught the 12" many years ago and it will be great to hear it without the snaps crackles & pops.

Re: Dave Rodgers & Kasanova
Watch Out could be Conny Porsche or Jackie Touche... not very likely, but it is possible.

As for your cover choices , hell Why not go Way back in TIME and do Dr. Money- TIME After TIME or Chester- Don't Get Away(complete with male-female vocal) Why not do a whole SEB comtaining just TIME covers. I would definatley buy that one!
"Destroy" is a cruel thing to say. It will definately have a different style. Kasanova usually has a more mellow rythm with classis Italo hooks in the synths. I do agree with your "perfection" statement. As much as I love Giorgio's vocals, they could not surpass Gino Caria's Macho-Agressive version.Seems like Kasanova is a cover of Lou Grant's "What Kind Of Cure". That song is perfect so I can't imagine how they are going to destroy it.
That actually gives the song a new identity. "What Kinda Cure" was in the 120s in BPMs, so it will be interesting to see how Sergio Dall Ora adapts the melody to the 160 + BPMs of now a days. He did an excellent job on Sophie's "My World" and Helena's "Your Love Is A Melody"(formally, Rose-I Wanna Be Your Love), so I have complete faithI guess they don't want to use the original name of the artist either, just like with Vanity's "Take A Look In My Heart". Would like to hear some other covers too, like DeNiro's "Give It Up" or Danny Keith's "Lean On Me"

Biggest surprise is Ai Yamamoto. I can't figure out what she's saying, but the music is Powerful. De Leo - Another Life is fantastic too, but they should just have called him Phil. Powerful T and Manuel sound like they have some potential, but need to hear the full versions. What Kind Of Cure actually sounds pretty incredible, but after hearing the chorus sample, sounds like really tore the original apart. Dave Rodgers if it is a cover, I haven't heard it before. Sounds pretty good though. The two delta ladies, Leslie Perrish & Cherry are quite good too and a nice different sound too. Look forward to this one.
Daniel is definately Delta. Wendy White is Time. I love the fact that Luca Torchiani is doing so much stuff for Eurobeat. Since his Eurobeat return on 151, he's sung 13 songs (14 if you count his background vocals in Running Ninja). I one of my fav vocalists out now ^_^. The Nuage song is extremely nice and smooth. Go Bananas seems slightly weaker than I expected from Kiki & Fancy which is odd... I'm glad they gave Greta another name besides Baby Bazooka... She's gotten older lol... The De Leo song is sexy as heck! I looove that disco style. So far I'm slightly undecided on the album. It seems rather average. We'll see next week.
You can hate me but you know you have quality issues =p
Daniel - One More Try = DELTA
Thumbs up - the beat and production sound very much like Chemical Love.
Wendy White - Take Away = TIME
Thumbs up - I love the new meaty synth sounds that Time have used of late!
Mark Astley - Iron Man = DELTA
Thumbs up - really powerful stuff, and a catchy melody - Delta are well and truly back!!
Nuage - Singing On The Stars = A-BEAT C
Thumbs up - one of the more appealing Nuage melodies; love the rise and fall and the bongos after the chorus!
Kelly T. - Come Baby Love Me = A-BEAT C
Unsure - she sounds a bit too shrill somehow, and the production doesn't grab me.
Kiki & Fancy - Go Bananas = SCP
Unsure - I've never been a massive Kiki & Fancy fan, and this is pretty irritating. Typical quality SCP production though...
Fastway - Crash Boom Burn Me Up = SCP
Thumbs up - pretty much what I expected to be honest from Fastway.
Cyberella - I Am Cyberella = HI-NRG ATTACK
Thumbs down - a waste of the few places HRG get nowadays. The melody is shrill, the vocals aren't pleasant and the production is a bit tired...
De Leo - Another Life = TIME
Unsure - can you say "Only For Love Only For You" part 2?? Sounds slightly more appealing than that yawnfest, but I'm not a fan of Time's slower disco-style stuff...
Alexis - Night Prayer = TIME
Unsure - the thing that saves this one is the synth hook, which sounds 10x more appealing and catchy than the chorus.
Powerful T. - Dangerous Love = A-BEAT C
Thumbs down - I hate Powerful T now. I can't stand his over-exaggerated "singing" and this song would sound miles better with Neo on vocals anyways...
Candy Taylor - Fly = DELTA
Thumbs up - ooooh, check out that chugging bass line!! That's a cool feature, and should lift this fairly ordinary track up to new heights.
Kasanova - What Kind Of Cure = TIME
Unsure - quite repetitive (maybe the sample doesn't do it much justice), and the synth hook sounds fairly stagnant. May grow on me...
Garcon - Hannibal The Cannibal = HI-NRG ATTACK
Thumbs up - wheeeeee! I love Garcon - this isn't quite as catchy as Super Kaiser, but has the same punch and bounce.
Leslie Parrish - King Of Heart = DELTA
Thumbs down - Nope, not a fan of this sample at all. Leslie Parrish isn't a strong alias for me, and this fails to grab my attention on any level!
Dave Rodgers - Watch Out = A-BEAT C
Thumbs down - this sounds watery and extremely uninspiring.
Ai Yamamoto - Pink In The Pink = SCP
Thumbs up - bizarre lyrics, but it seems like Ai has been given some singing lessons and she can now hold the melody much better. An interesting slower track from SCP.
Manuel - Ready Steady Go! = A-BEAT C
Thumbs up - that unmistakable Manuel style is back. Sounds like a definite Initial-D crossover with powerful production. The only thing annoying me is the weird "ah-ah" after he sings "Ready, steady, go"...
A-BEAT C - 5
DELTA - 4
TIME - 4
SCP - 3
HI-NRG ATTACK - 2
Faves so far:
MARK ASTLEY - IRON MAN
DANIEL - ONE MORE TRY
NUAGE - SINGING ON THE STARS
Skippers:
CYBERELLA - I AM CYBERELLA
POWERFUL T. - DANGEROUS LOVE
LESLIE PARRISH - KING OF HEART
Thumbs up - the beat and production sound very much like Chemical Love.
