On a more HRG topic (although sexy women is hardly a topic Eurobeat avoids), I've lately found that I'm enjoying Rick Castle's more generic pieces. Something seems to strike me, however, that Mr. Girbaudo has missed his calling. Doesn't his voice seem too smooth, his musical style too warm and romantic for dance techno? Not to say his pieces in Eurobeat aren't good (if anything, Midnight Lady was a shakeup that HRG direly needed), but he's got something that seems to go a different direction than mainstream Eurobeat. If Castle put out an album that wasn't essentially Eurobeat, I'd probably buy it. Anyone think the same/opposite?

Sidenote: Eagerly awaiting T&F2... when will it just come out already? T&F1 was GENIUS~!

The problem with Rick Castle's songs (everything he's released so far only made one appearance respectively) is that Hi-NRG Attack's fast-paced, repetitive style lends itself more to wacky eurobeat tracks from Frederico Rimonti and Roberto Festari, and applying it to generic airy-type tracks results in a devastatingly boring outcome. I agree that Midnight Lady was a nice track, but some of Andrea's other tracks, including One For You (my least favorite song from Parapara Cool Vol. 4, btw), My Little Girl, and possibly No, I Don't Wanna Wait For You (if Harry Ken is a Rick Castle alias) just seemed dull beyond limits imo. Very much like Coraini, Hi-NRG Attack isn't the best-suited label for Rick Castle to be working for; I think he'd feel more at home with Time instead. This is probably also the reason why I haven't been massively impressed by the Bazooka Angels series thus far.

I hope Tornado & Friends 2 turns out to be good, though I have a slight fear that it will result in a disappointment, because the first T&F would be very difficult to top (I didn't like everything on it, but it offered plenty of gems as well).

I hope he doesn't sing techno. I think he sounds great on his Riki 1 songs. Those are relatively faster. He allways seems to be accompanied by female vocals? I'm a huge fan of the softer Eurobeat style, so I'm one of those fans who love his songs.

I agree that "Midnight Lady" was extraordinary with it's hard edge Festari style Synths. His vocal style also seemed a lot more smoother than usual.I believe he also does Starkly Ice and Harry Ken & some Riki 1?(sounds too smooth for Claudio) no? His vocal style goes really well with HRG more Softer sound, since the absence of Corraini's Lucky Boy and such. He sort of sounds a bit likea softer Claudio Magnani. As for Andrea doing other than Eurobeat, some of his songs have a more 80's Italo and Rick Astly vibe, especially in the main hook. He is allways usually present in writing credits when he does vocals, so it's very possible, he does. Maybe some research could provide that info.Let's start a fanboy site for Andrea's wonderful melt in your heart style 8)

Being a huge HRG Attack fan, Its' TIME for Dr NRG's Girbaudo's top 10 fav songs

I might make a mistake on some.

1. Riki 1- Hi Hi Baby Frankenstein
2. Harry Ken- No I Don't Wanna Wait For You(not too sure, could be Claudio)
3. Rick Castle- Midnight Lady
4. Starkly Ice- Upside Down
5. Rick Castle- Ride In The Night
6. Starkly Ice- One For You
7. Riki 1- My Love is Like Rock N Roll
8. Ted Candela - Ready To Love
9. Harry Ken- Street Boy
10. Rick Castle- X's In Love

Wow, I thought Riki 1 was Claudio Magnani the whole time! Guess you're right, though. In that case, I really liked Girbauldo's performance on Shake Shake Shake quite a bit. (that's the only Riki 1 song not in your Top 10? :o )
