Aw, what the hell. Why not jump in?
IN LEBON'S DEFENSE: He is entitled to his opinion, and if he doesn't prefer Delta tracks then so be it.
CONTRARY TO LEBON: There IS a bit of a difference between stating an opinion ("I don't like _______") and thrashing the subject of said opinion ("______ is ****!"). If you really think so poorly of a label or artist, why not explain WHY you dislike them? If you hate them so much, maybe a personal blog or something to that effect would be more useful.
And, as it was previously pointed out, constructive criticism is a far preferred method of stating issues with artists, labels, or songs.
For the sake of demonstration, some of my own quips:
To HI-NRG Attack: The songs released that are simply compilations of Eurobeat titles, either your own or of other labels, tend to be rather weak. While they don't lack their own creativity, I tend to find them as "cheap" and lower-quality than you have proven you can put out.
To Dave Rodgers: Dave, you've been a driving force in Eurobeat for the longest time; however, as of late some of your more recent tracks seem to have been lacking the same "punch" as some of your former hits. Using chords instead of individual notes in Sabis, I would think, would be the culprit, along with a new pressure to produce more tracks on your own (due to the recent formation of GGM). Maybe if you directed your attention on making, instead of a few "meh-worthy" songs for each SEB, focusing on one or two potential smash-hits? To be honest, I can't say I preferred such tracks as "California Dreamin'" and even "Red Core" (although Stef Burns IS a great guitar player).
To SAIFAM: Why do you insist on releasing "Eurobeat" albums in the American iTunes stores that is seldom ever Eurobeat to begin with? You've released Eurobeat before, you know what it is (you were practically present at the invention!!), and yet you sell tracks that are NOT Eurobeat under such a title. Why do you do this, when Hi-NRG Attack, a competitor, is releasing not only MORE Eurobeat more frequently, but even releasing some of their direst classics? Is there a reason you can't release more "Eurobeat-y", higher-quality tracks to America; maybe even the classic "Boom Boom Dollar"? Jenny ROM gets quite a few hits on American iTunes because of Dance Dance Revolution; BBD got the same treatment and would most likely enjoy HIGH sales in the USA by DDR fans.
See? I actually have FAR fierier opinions on some of those matters, but even negative feelin's towards something can garner good information.
Now. Regarding 181...
*I'm hoping to see if HRG pulls out a sleeper hit or another high-quality number, like Moo Moo Dollars or Danger In Chinatown before 181. They tend to be rather hit-or-miss in my experience.
*ABeatC should be seeing that they need to focus on a few good songs instead of filling SEB to the brim (I.E, quality over quantity). I wonder if they simply underestimated the Go Go's, and have by now learned from that? They've put out some rather accessible tunes in the 170s (I.E, some songs even Non-EB fans have liked in my experience), they should keep thta up!
*Delta and SCP have been really easy to get along with in the 170's, with some good all-around material mixed in with some smash-hits. Here's hoping for the next "Running Ninja" and "Futureland"~
*Time... seems to have fluctuated. They've put out garbage just as oft as they've put out gold, with very little middle-ground; it seems odd that I loved Speed Man just as much as I found Night Melody rather boring. Wonder what they're up to?
