I'm still quietly waiting for Bore's review to be posted. After his post in the Eurobeat Top 10 thread, he's already spoiled his favorite tracks on the CD...

Seems like this poor cd is getting the short end of the stick. Hardly anyone reviewed it , not even you and yes. it seems Bore is still listening before he posts his review. :|

01. Kiki & Fancy - Pararappa Dance
I'm not usually a fan of these bubbly productions, but this one worked well. I was especially impressed with that catchy riff; one of the best I've heard in a while. Thumbs up!
Score: 5/5

02. Franz Tornado & The Bombardier Girls - Bomba
It's pleasing to see HRG haven't reiterated the formula of their lackluster Jeff Driller productions in 181 and 184 this time, as I've been fairly discontent with most of the male HRG productions this decade thus far. The track itself sounds a bit too busy; they're trying to accomplish way too many things at once. Although this isn't unusual for HRG, they often don't sound this chaotic. Despite this, I still enjoyed it because it's reminiscent of my favourite HRG track during the 160s (Get The Dark Side Into My Brain).
Score: 4/5

03. Kimmy - My Oh My
Much more memorable than "Fly Away"; I liked how this worked out. The production seems to be inspired by Aqua. Torchiani makes an appearance during the B-Melo, and I can faintly pick him out in the background during the sabi as well supporting Kimmy, which added a nice touch to the track. The vocals were definitely the apex that made everything else work in this slow-mid tempo production.
Score: 4/5

04. De Leo - Funky Lady 2008
One of the few tracks I couldn't enjoy on the disc. The lyrics were generic as ever and the introduction was abyssmal and irritating... The only decent element about this production was that there was no typical TIME fade out. Unfortunately, that couldn't save it from abomination. The arrangement didn't appeal to me at all. 1 point for originality?
Score: 1/5

05. King & Queen - Go Go Go Baby Go
Looking back on the previous K&Q productions this decade, these are where Gordon's true gems lie and it appears the Annalise alias seems to get the shit end on the stick. I was pleasantly surprised with how catchy this sounded right from the start. What I enjoyed most about this production was how Gordon sounds like she's having fun for once. This is definitely on par with, if not better than, "Speedy Runner." Highly catchy.
Score: 5/5

06. Digital Planet - Take My Desire
A ballad-like Brandoni track was almost inevitable, even though it still flows pretty quickly like most of the other Digital Planet productions. The track has that astral undertone that we came to expect from the earlier Brandoni songs, but this track is much softer. Overall, even though I detest Brandoni and his views on eurobeat, this track worked effectively for what it is and suits the vocals well. Won't appeal to everybody though.
Score: 4/5

07. Vanessa - Take It Easy
More rehashing... Not sure why Dall'Ora insists on rehashing tracks he produced during the 170s. Why not rehash TIME tracks during the 120s or 130s that weren't very popular if he has creativity problems? At least then it wouldn't be so obvious. All that aside, "Take It Easy" was okay. Nice vocals, nice sounds, but nothing memorable, especially considering I overplayed its predecessor "One Night In Tokyo" to death.
Score: 3/5

08. Kelly T. - Tell Me Why You Say
Very mellow, calm and airy. Does it work? Pretty much. The riff and synths are very simple and don't deviate much from that. The vocals during the verse are nice and clean, but the overlapping of the vocals during the chorus to create that 'double-effect' sounds a little irritating. Oh well, it's not bad.
Score: 3/5

09. Betty feat. Annalise - The One For Me
LESBIANS! Well, that was the first thought that struck me the first time I fully listened to this song. More mellow A-Beat material that I wanted to shoot to the ground due to its mediocrity and transparency, but it somehow grew on me over time. If you give the song a chance, you might be able to pick up on its uniqueness and specialty. Lovely little chimes and other sounds make the song a real treat. However, is Betty really Betty Beat from GGM? They sound completely different, unless Betty Beat was the pitched version...
Score: 4/5

10. Pamsy - Emotional Child
Avex is exposing De Boni a lot this decade. I don't really have a lot to say about this track except that it's what you'd expect to hear from Pamsy. Castagna seems to have found a safe formula for her and isn't afraid to use it often; fortunately, she isn't sounding bland yet. Decent track, but not as charming as "My Sweet Forever."
Score: 3/5

I'll review the rest later.

I'm working on a review, but I've been a bit drowned in other things as well (most notably my DDRExtreme.co.uk Re-Visited SM entries)...

BTW, I'll also review the second disc for fun. 182's megamix was a bit lackluster imo, but the selections for 185's already look a lot better (new Saifam yay!).

I must confess I'm quietly uninspired by the line-up this month. I'm not sure quite what it is but none of the tracks have jumped out and grabbed me as has been the case with many on the past few albums. Think I just need to listen a few more times - it's not a bad album, per se, I think I'm just having a bit of Eurobeat fatigue at the moment! :)

Okay...here's my review of SEB 185. I'm going to base how much I like the song on other songs done by the artist rather than musical jargon that I'm not very good at using...

Just As Good As: Go Bananas
But Not as Good As: Roly Poly Rock

2. Bomba/ Franz Tornado (B)

8. Tell Me Why You Say/ Kelly T (C)
Just Can't Beat: I Need Somebody To Love
But Better Than: Shining Like A Lucky Star

9. The One For Me/ Betty feat. Annalise (A+)

-If this is Betty Beat, definitely a new sound that I really enjoy

Just As Good As: I Feel Emotions and My Sweet Forever
Better Than: Babyface

Disclaimer: The following review is a reflection of the album from my point of view, of what songs I like and dislike. With that said, opinions will be bias due to my preferences of certain labels / artists / styles.

* = Not interested
** = Don't care for
*** = Like
**** = Really Like
***** = Love

1. Kiki & Fancy / Pararappa Dance - **1/2
I don't really have any interest in this song, unlike other Kiki & Fancy/Kika whatever productions. The title reminds me of Raparapadance by the gogo girls tho. :P What's with the "rapa" part?

2. Franz Tornado etc. / Bomba - *
I have very little interest in these Hi-NRG Attack tracks :( The same got old, and even though the synths are different blahblahblah, it's nothing special for me.

3. Kimmy / My Oh My - *
Not too interested.

4. De Leo / Funky Lady 2008 - ***1/2
The production in this song is FANTASTIC. I really don't like the vocals though. I prefer the original. It's still a quality song though.

5. King & Queen / Go Go Go Baby Go - 1/2
This is where I'm very disappointed. ABeatC lost the King & Queen sound I enjoyed. This new sound is not bad, the production is quite interesting (besides the new abeatc style of "slow melodic intro into headache inducing synths") but I want the sound we have with "Come Into My School," "Fun Fun Pharaoh," "Fly Into The Moonlight," etc. Throw together a new group name and slap them the sound of "Speedy Runner," "Dance," - just retire King & Queen or give it over to Go Go's.

6. Digital Planet / Take My Desire - **
As said, sounds more like a Brian Ice track. Not too interested in this one.

7. Vanessa / Take It Easy - **
Typical Time. Not too into this sort of Eurobeat but the production is strong.

8. Kelly T. / Tell Me Why You Say - *
Not really a big fan of Kelly T. :P

9. Betty feat. Annalise / The One For Me - 1/2
....sigh. This song had potential and I was looking quite forward to it, but it just turned out to be a slower typical annerley gordon song with some random singer.

10. Pamsy / Emotional Child - ***
Not as good as My Sweet Forever (OMG I LOVE THAT SONG!!!) but still top notch.

11. Dave Rodgers / The V.I.P. is JP - ****1/2
I'm so glad this song came to a CD edit SEB! Since hearing it on (sebwhateverthenumberwas)'s bonus disc I was blown away. This is the style I like. I wonder if this song was made during the 130 era? :P I enjoyed the song then and I still do now. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of Dave this song is definitely quality.

12. Frank Torpedo / Para Para Night 2008 - ***
The original is far better, but like Funky Lady, Time's production is top quality and I REALLY enjoy these remakes because of the production.

13. Sara / Baby Fly - *
Not interested.

14. Baby Gold / Kiss Me Now - *
Not Interested

15. Christine / Candy Baby - **
While it was a good attempt at a new Christine hit, I would have preferred the stylings of VIVA LA NOCHE over the happy hyper sugar coated eurobeat.

16. Kasanova / Feel Me Tender - *
Not interested

17. Cody / Final Destination - ****
Wooooo FINAL DESTINATION!! I love the synths in this song. Chorus is catchy too.

18. Mega NRG Man feat. Domino / Back To 80's - *****
This song just blew me away. This is what all Eurobeat should be. The production, the synths, the use of every resource available to make this song was used at it's best... I mean, Sandro oozes talent and this song proves his ability. It's not your typical NRG Man song, but that doesn't stop him from nailing every aspect. Of course, Domino joins Mega NRG Man as she usually does in a lot of his songs as back up, but this time more upfront and noticeable. She brings the song together with just the perfect amount of accompaniment. Back to 80s is just a beautiful song, and probably one of the best Eurobeat songs I've ever heard, production wise. Go Go's should be proud.

Overall:

Top songs:
1. Back to 80s
2. VIP is JP
3. Final Destination

Overall:
I didn't really enjoy the majority of the songs, which is quite disappointing because seeing SEB184 was a strong release, I thought this would match. Although, the three songs that I did enjoy make up for the purchase. I'm sure some songs will grow on me but at this point SEB185 was just a sub-par release with a few diamonds in the rough.

9. Betty feat. Annalise / The One For Me - 1/2

very good. neat hook in the chorus.

10. Pamsy / Emotional Child - ***

Arrangement works great, overall very enjoyable tune!!

16. Kasanova / Feel Me Tender -
good.

Regading most of the rest: get a refund.

We began our history as a small car team like every one else who loves their cars. In early the 90's, there was no one who tried to customize Japanese domestic luxury car in Japan, even though a lot of people were longing for it. If there were some body kits or wheels on the market, that was not what we desired. So, it was only fitting that we started to develop those parts which we desired.

In the begining, we supplied our body kit to only our team members. It was not for sale. However, once we went to car shows and meetings, people asked us to sell it to them. Since we had a great number of people who wanted to buy our body kit, we decided to establish Junction Produce. This is how we started Junction Produce.
After we established Junction Produce, our interest was not only in body kits but also every other part such as wheels, exhausts, lights, and other interior accessories. This is the our policy as of now, that we try to produce our cars with all the parts we make.

Now, people call our style "VIP STYLE". It might came from the word "VIP" for carrying a very important person. However, we define "VIP STYLE" as the word for everybody who is proud of having and cutomizing these cars like we do.
Thank you for your visiting to our web site.
We hope you are interested in our concept.

Also we hope we meet at events and meetings.
