Okay, I may get burned by this, but people say the same thing about eurobeat being lifeless and dull. Sure, to some people trance is dull and doesn't seem complex, but when I think about your average eurobeat song, there doesn't seem to be any energy there.

It, again, is just a matter of perspective. People who love trance don't find it dull, but absolutely fascinating. I don't personally like trance, but I try to find the good parts of every genre of music.

If you don't think eurobeat can be boring or lifeless, try listening to these songs:

*FROM JAPAN TO ITALY/ A-BEAT C FRIENDS
*LIFE IS THE PARTY/ BABY GOLD
*BABY BE HAPPY BECAUSE I LOVE YOU/ MADISON

I just dont' think there was any thought put behind these songs. These are just my opinions.

Everyone's going to think x y and z song is 'lifeless and dull,' 'sounds the same as others' etc... lack of originality and so on and so forth; but the best thing is that even know one or a group of people don't like whatever song, somebody else does - and if any amount out of the 18 songs on a CD can cater to every single person who buys the album, even if their favorites differ between eachother, I think all the labels and Avex are doing a great job. =)

How did topic about SEB 169 turn into such crap? I make one comment about SCP using trans effects and suddenly everyone is posting trans? music clips . I personally do not like it at all! As far as dance music goes..If it is not Eurobeat, Hi-NRG, Italo, 70's Disco or New Wave, It sucks! Next topic please!!

Right On NINE! You tell em'.

When did you become such a carebear Phil?
Yet I do agree, most labels are doing fine. Yet I still think Delta has been going on a deep spiral down, Time is being as shady as always (seeing they release great songs every now and then but in general it's somewhat... not my style).

These terms were used as generalisations, I'll give you that - but you can't deny that Trance is extremely repetitive. And I agree with you that Milk Inc. etc. are Dance and therefore should never be referred to as Trance.

I guess it seems that everyone has their own tastes and can relate Eurobeat back to another favourite genre of theirs, be it Italo, Eurodance or Trance.

Whether you like a style of music is a matter of taste, but whether a style of music tends to consist of 2 bars and three chords repeated indefinitely is not a matter of opinion.

I quite like the trance style, but most examples of "real" trance fall flat as not being good songwriting.

You'll find junk in any genre, of course.

Most other dance styles don't really have real songs, so I tend to agree.

As for the clips, I had to find some quick way of showing that I had some idea of what I'm talking about, but you could always use them to confirm your opinion. ;)

Well said! Because... the examples provided are good for me!

*BABY BE HAPPY BECAUSE I LOVE YOU/ MADISON => it is a GREAT track to me
*LIFE IS THE PARTY/ BABY GOLD (the night is party?) => also great
*FROM JAPAN TO ITALY/ A-BEAT C FRIENDS => not my favorite, but very nice (for an A beat C song, that is ;) )

So a couple of dull songs on a SEB can indeed please someone else.

Aaawww Roly Poly Rock is so damn cheery and catchy <3
Not a new Easy Busy or Wake Up, but a really really good song none the less.

Quite disappointed with this album yet again, really looking like 160s are turning out to be one of the worst decades in SEB history. A few nice songs on this album but over all not a very good package.

Message to SCP - NOOOOOOOOOO, why the fadeout in Big Heart??? The song itself is awesome - like a who's who of some of my fave Eurobeat vocalists - but inheriting Time's bad habits is unforgiveable! :P

This album starts off strongly but quickly goes into dubious territory - what the hell is that Rose mush all about, and why is Garcon singing about "Super Riser, Kingdom of my cheese!"?

Soooo many questions...

"Eurobeat Kind Of Love" - the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the title was "A Groovy Kind Of Love" by Phil Collins, I was wondering if it's gonna be a cover.
After listening to it I have to say the chorus is... inspired by that song to say the least. ;)

And isn't it Christine singing on Roly Poly Rock?

Fade outs aren't always caused by the label. Avex many times have faded out the song or alter the endings themselves. i.e. Pilot Is The Hero,Space Invader, Movin' Up Moving Now, Dancing Around The World. So hopefully it's a mistake on Avex's part. And curious...
How many of you actually bought SEB 169 instead of downloading it off of PkerUno's torrent?
