So we have a little list of celebrities mentioned:

Richard Gere (Super Sex Symbol, Destination Unknown)
Elvis (Super Sex Symbol)
Bee Gees (Everybody Physical)
DJ Robinson (from the song Mr. Robinson)
Parapara Allstars (self-titled)
Princess Diana (I'm pretty sure Cherry's One Day Queen is referencing her)
Rumiringo (Rumiringo Superstar)

There has to be more!!

Bonnie & Clyde - Criminals (though, I guess one could debate celebrity in their case)
Ace - Fantasista

TIME for a new list. 3 new SCP songs debut this week and I gotta hold of somore of those King records Eurobeat trax. Upon further investigation I found that even the vinyls have the King Logo on them. So for now they are King Records. They definately have a 90s feel and wouldn't sound out of place with the current state of SEB styles. Too soon to make the list, but they are on the sizzle for next week's chart.

Dr. NRGs Top 40 Eurogrooves

1. Michelle Rose- Hard To Say I'm Sorry (HRG Attack) (-)(1)(2 weeks #1)
Michelle definately has nothing to be sorry about as she holds strongly for a second week at the most coverted slot on the list.

2. Hotblade- Plastic (SCP) (1)(1)
This former number 1 song is still hot. Red HOT!

3. Powerful T. - Louder & Faster (Sun Fire) (5)(3)(+2)
Louder 6 faster proves a winning combination for Sun Fire records debut hit.

4. Garcon- On The Top Again (HRG Attack) [8](4)(+4)
He could very well be within the next few weeks. On the top spot, that is

5. Cy-Ro- It's All Up To You (HRG Attack) (10)(5)(+5)
Another ricochette move puts Cy-Ro at the halfway mark to number 1

6. Radiorama- You Are Always On My Mind (Saifam) (9)(6)(+3)
The followup to the massive Oh World is still heavy on our minds.

7. Dave Rodgers- The Race Is A Game (AbeatC) (16)(7)(+9)
Dave Rodgers makes the biggest leap within the list and who wouldn't with a car like that?.
Image

8. Joe Banana- Cataclysm Night (HRG Attack) (4)(1)(-4)
Armageddon is over and so could be Joe's long run in the top 10

9. Aleky- Labyrinth Of Love (Dima music) (13)(9)(+4)
Call it what you will, but Aleky pushes herself into the top 10

10. Vicky Vale- Your Barbi Girl (DELTA) (3)(3)(-7)
PlayTIME is over as Vicky takes a dive to #10

11. Mom & Dad- Kiss My Boo Boo (Sinclaire Style) (20)(11)(+9)
A surprise move from Mom & Dad places the very sprightly "Kiss My Boo Boo" one slot away from the top 10

12. Louise- Screaming Out The Power (HRG Attack) (17)(12)(+5)
She could be screaming her way into the top 10 by next week.

13. Mad Cow- Suq El Kazoo (HRG Attack) (7)(1)(-6)
Another big tumble comes from one of HRG Attack's biggest songs this year.

14. Jay Lehr- Little Little Star (SCP) (6)(4)[-8]
Seems Jay's star ran out of wishes to grant as he tumbles out of the top 10

15. Mara Nell- Tokyo Beat (HRG Attack) [18](15)(+3)
Just enough beat to push her 3 slots upward

16. Manuel- All Is Magic (Dima Music) (12)(1)(-4)
Manuel is getting ready for what could be an awesome Limo ride, but this week he slides backwards to #16.

17. Ace- Me & You (SCP) (-)(17)
Our highest debut comes from of SCP's premier acts and one half of the immortal Go2

18. Jeff Driller- Hot Core Dance Floor (HRG Attack) (15)(14)(-3)
Sliding a bit is Jeff, but don't count him out just yet.

19. Ciao Ciao- Run Into The Hot Fight (HRG Attack) (22)(19)(+3)
HRG ASttack's favourite girly duo is sprinting right back into the top 20

20. Stella- Forever Fly (SCP) (11)(5)(-9)
Nothing lasts forever. This week Stella presents us with her former top 5 smash

21. Baby Gold- Electronic Love (HRG Attack) (23)(21)(+2)
Mrs. Gold is also knocking in top 20's door with her latest hit; Electronic Love

22. David Dima- Sombody To Love (Dima music) (27)(22)(+5)
After sliding down a bit last week; Dima regains tempo as he gets ready to break the top 20

23. Christian- Take This Way (Eurogrooves) (14)](1)(-9) / Chris Stanton- Ready Forever (TIME Spa) (14)(1)(-9)
The two biggest Eurobeat songs of the year are hand in hand for one more week

24. Desire'- Take A look In My Heart (Eurogrooves) (21)(21)(-3)
Too many covers of a classic Eurobeat song can be overkill.

25. Cindy- Amerigirl (HRG Attack) (26)(25)(+1)
With 4 hits this year; Cindy is certainly a force to reckon with at LMS

26. Momo- Flash(Flesh) & Love (SCP) (-)(26)
The followup to Send Me An Angel is a Hot debut for Momo

27. Remy Panther- Money Talk (HRG Attack) (30)(27)(+3)
Remy has made a striking comeback this year and his latest smash is steadily climbing the charts

28. Nathalie- I'll Remeber Why I Love You (Sinclaire Style) (33)[28](+5)
Both of Sinclaire's latest trax are moving up the chart quickly

29. Kaioh- It's Like A Fire (GGMs) (31)(29)(+2)
Kaioh's flame wasn't big enuff to burn up the charts this week.

30. Mela- Sandy (Saifam) (25)(6)(-5)
One of Saifam's biggest hits of the year is still in the top 30

31. The Snake- Freedom Ride (SCP) (-)(31)
The Snake debuts with 3 of SCP's entrys for this week

32. Sarah- Little Lies (Saifam) (32)(32)
Holding steady is another Saifam entry. Nice, but nothing phenominal

33. Garcon- Strike In My Car (HRG Attack) (19)(9)(-14)
Big drop for Garcon, but he already has a new top 5 hit

34. Kate Project- In My Arms (Saifam) (35(34)(+1)
making a baby step is the semi Euro dance inspired song from Saifam

35. Louise -On The Ginza (HRG Attack) (24)(10)(-11)
Louise had a nice run in the list. This week she tumbles 11 notches to 35

36. Lilly- I Am A Liar (HRG Attack) [28](6)[-8]
Big former top 10 smash for Lilly drops 8 notches to 36

37. Cindy- Squeeze Me (HRG Attack) (29)(4)[-8]
One last squeeze for Cindy

38. Karen- Evergreen (ABeatC) [38][38]
Even if this song was released in the 90's, it still wouldn't have much effect on me.

39. Joe Banana- My Spy Guy (HRG Attack) (36)(33)(-3)
Looks like Joe's cover is blown as he heads down the list

40. Jager- I Won't Fall Apart (SCP) (34)(10)(-6)
could barely keep it togethert for one more week in the list

songs that fell out

Vicky Vale- Do With Me (DELTA) (37)[18]

I suppose you could compare my charts to the UK one, where there's high debuts and massive drops every week, haha.

Anyway, King & Queen have managed to just pip HRG's best song of the year to the post with "Para Para", an incredible oldie that I haven't had the chance to listen to before this week. Another high debut comes from Time's remake of the classic "Dark in the Night", which, for me, has lasted very well throughout the years. Powerful T. and Dave Rodgers are climbing fast. The biggest drops come from The Snake, Vicky Vale, Kate Project and Momo's very short stay at #1, as well as a massive fallout from Diskowarp's remix of "Going Crazy." The latter half of the charts are filled with debuts - who knows where they'll end up next week!

Jay
5 13 2 5 POWERFUL T. / LOUDER & FASTER
Interesting how a song you initially dimissed as a terrible mess is now in your top 5? Could it really be all be due to how great it sounded on earphones? :???:
13 NEW 1 13 EDO / STRANGER
while I absolutely love all Gino Caria songs; that one and Wanted have to be two of my least favourites.

anyway, good job with the list. 8)

I haven't been the greatest fan of Gino Caria but I've been really getting into the MST remix of "Stranger" from SEB94 this week, hence why it's on my chart (maybe I should have specified that on my chart). I haven't listened to the original yet, so I wouldn't know how different it is to the remix.

As for L&F, it wasn't really all that chaotic once I actually bothered to listen to it with my headphones; without them, the song just sounded far too messy. I wasn't planning to listen to the song ever again after the first listen, but you and WNight gave a pretty decent argument for me to give the song another chance, and after some patience I started to appreciate it more. So, in the end, it was a combination of three factors: headphones, patience, and peer pressure, haha.

I only heard one version over the phone and it didn't sound melodic enough, so I skipped it. During that era I was heavy into TIME vinyls ,so I only bought songs from ABEATC that really sounded great to me.

BTW, is there like a Hi NRG version of Stranger, cuz the one I heard was heavy on the hard beats. kina like that Rock n Roll Superstar song from Mike Skanner, that I also didn't care for too much.

Stranger is special because it was the 100th A beat C record. But it takes a while to get used to. The Extended Friday version is the most melodic one, I suppose. The Extended Saturday version uses the James Brown Is Dead sound and sounds more techno like. Maharaja Night Vol.06 has that version (even though the cover says Extended Friday).

yes! That's the same reason I hated side one of You really Got Me. Good thing they made two versions of that song. BTW, so where does the Friday night version show up, cuz I never heard it. :(

great song, but you say Black Night; I say Let It Go, but seriously, choosing one Gino Caria favourite is next to impossible. The man sounded stellar even in his last Vibration sung songs. Diablo Man, Hard Body, Flipping Out, Big Mig. Now you got me started :P

I wonder what he would've sounded like at DELTA, HRG Attack, Eurogrooves!!! :!: (pours water onself to cool off)

It was released on A beat C 1100, I've never seen it anywhere else. Check your pm for a sample. It was great to see them reach 1100, but they could have chosen a better song.

Sure, there is not just 1 favorite. What do you think of Lou Grant - Bad Desire? That was around the same time when Let It Go was released. Great song.

I think that Diablo Man was one of his best vocal performances ever. He sounded really good on that one.
