Humbedoo quote
mwahaha, I can't help myself:

Overall a good review. My only gripe as with allways is how bias it is towards male songs and certain lables. 3 standout songs for TIME, only 1 for DELTA and HRG.

I'll admit it's bias to the max, but I also did a small overall review with only top 5, not even top 10, so it shouldn't surprise to 3 out of 5 TIME, but I'll extend my review a little and do top 5 for each label. There are at least 5 great songs from each label. Even a Pamsy song for SCP :D

TIME:
1. Toby Vale- Heartbreaker
Showed TIME forte in making an incredible remake, which stays tru to the original, but at the same TIME gives it new life by rerecording vocals and adding a few extras here and there ala eurobeat 2007 style

2. TIME Force- Love Me In The Heat Of The Night
I'm not alone in saying this is one of the most powerful efforts from TIME this year. Bumping wicked synths and catchy melodies, sprinkled with some proper vocals make this one a TIMELESS classic.

3. Helena- Your Love Is A Melody
Take the old Rose song "I Wanna Be Your Lover" rearrange a note here and there, change the lyrics and add some BPM's and SERGIO DALL'ORA gave new life to a classic melody.

4. Mark Rise- Love Is Blue
Eversince TIME introduced a funky vibe into some of thier song, They recieve positive vibe from fans. There wasn't too many Phil songs this year, but this one prooved to be one of the most memoroable and catchy(If not the best of the lot for me).

5. Alexis- One Nite In Tokyo
While "your Love..." showed Elenas softer side, this one showed her more Powerful vocal abilities. The intro and Outro really stick in your head as one of the most innovative and creative productions from TIME this year.

HRG Attack
1. Franz Tornado & Mad Cow Orchestra - Moo Moo Dollars
While Maid Attck was the wacky hit of 2006, this one was for 2007. The well known HRG formula worked wonderfully ,complete with lyrics about cows and crazy laughfter effects inbetween the chorus and main hook. The title alone pays homage to "Boom Boom Dollars" which was also co-written by Claudio Accantino.

2. Caio Caio- Shadow Of Your Smile
I've seen So many positive reviews on this song and I agree with them all. let's leave it at that.

3. Bugaboo- Caterpiller Man
The minuit the first not starts, you know you have a very standout song. Complete with classic Italo hooks. The voacls stay tru to HRG's Warped style and somehow this song allways gives me a "Spanish music" vibe. I don't know why ,but it makes me love it all the more

4. Mika La-Do - I Am Your Barracuda
Here is HRGs best mega hyper female entry of 2007 for me. Fast chaotic synths with Greta's vocals make this work like a charm for me. The title is also classic HRG Attack material :D

5. Rick Castle - Midnight Lady
Everyone seemed to like this one for it's more serious side. I liked it for the melody alone. Rick Castle has allways been the mellow Male side of HRG, but this one took it one notch up. Definately the direction I would like to see this title go.

DELTA
1. Mark Astley- Ironman
This had to be DELTA's best track for me hands down. Not only the HRG vibe, but overall the track followed a very powerful path musically and vocally that was missing from from some past productions. They definatly took the notch one step up with this hit.

2. Doctor Gee/ODA- Rainbow
It's no secret that I would take a bullet for 80's band Dead Or Alive(hence my dedicatiom for Heartbreaker 2007), but on this track Laurent Newfield reinvented the allready famouse DOA melody with wicked hyped synths and even better vocals. The lyrics were funny and powerful at once and it really remeinded me of the DELTA force. Through AKYR of course.

3. Paul Harris - Mira La Luna
Ever since "King Forever" Paul harris for me has pulled out hit after hit. I know that the majoarity of fans only thought so when it was discovered that the vocalist was Luka. With voacls aside, the inserted Spanish lyrics and vibe made this one shine above all other Luka song this year. At least for me it did

4. Cherry - Rain
Everyone loved this ...and so did I .after a few more listens. Powerful, fast and the whole atmosphere of the song really gave a feeling of RAIN. I don't know, but DELTA hit a bullseye on all levels. Also hands down Clara's best effort this year.

5. Daniel - Frontal Impact
I know that if this one was featured on one of the earlier SEBs of the year, it would be higher on my list. Right now it's still new, but definately a favorite for my SUmmerbreak. Marco Rancati vocals are fresh and have a distinctive quality that DELTA neede to fill in the voids of Nando,Claudio and D-Essex.

SCP
1.Jay Lehr- Mystic Love
Funny how the first TIME I heard the sample, I thought "crap" Now a day doesn't go by when I don't play this song on my P.C. Totally different style for SCP and though I have no idea who vocalist is, This song turned out to one of my favs from this label. Way upt here with "Number One"

2. Fastway - Go Racin' Go
Fastway took a back seat to female vocals this year, but made me very happy when this one showed up on 172. Go Wild and Rocking Hardcore and especially Crash Boom Burn Me Up were good, but this one was the standout track for me.

3. Dana - I'm OK
As far as female SCP songs .this one worked like a charm. No "Kiddy" voacls and very POWERFUL synth progression. I could allways imagine this one being a duet with Fastway. I wonder what it would have sounded like?

4. Pamsy - Babyface
Everyone knows I dislike the Pamsy title as much as techno so I was really surprised this one being one of my favorite SCP songs of the year. Probly most of you fell off your chairs when it appeared on my weekly top 10, but something about the way she sang it and even more the music accompanying her really gave me total satisfaction with it's composition. So I ate my own words. I still hate the Christine title, which is funny ,because they the same person?

5. Melissa White - Starry Sky
..and here is Female vocals ala "Romantic" style. A lot of you didn't care for this little gem, but maybe after someTIME, some of you change your mind. It really ids a beautiful song. I die for the Heartbreakers and songs like these alike, so it's mainly a matter of taste. Plus this songs that I mention are not really ruined by too much "Transy" effects

ABeatC/Go Go 's
They were not my favorite this year, but this songs reflect the best they had to offer for me.
1. Mega NRG Man- Red Light & Sex(Go Go's label )
The word sex in a Eurobeat song is like ..well, sex to me. Nothing tops it. I allways have this image o Megaf NRG Man oozing of Macho sex(much like Gino Caria) so almost all his songs are instant hits for me,but this one, while very new, is definately my favorite Mega NRG Man title since "Sex All Over The Phone" Powerul, Wicked and aggresive..just like Sex oughta be :D

2. Powerful T. - Ace Of Spades
The funny thing is that my main gripe with ABeatC was with Powerful T. and his experimental synth sounds. His songs were iether too fast or too "Transy" inspired, but this one..oh this one made me smile and remeber me to Early Powerful T. Even his high pitched vocals worked wonders on how he sang "ACE of Spades" and his voacls work actually went higher instead of see-sawing up and down.

3. Kelly T. - Take Me To Heaven
This is exactly hoiw I want my ABeatC feamle vocals to sound. I don't know why she released the "Come babyLove" when she had her formaula perfect on "Take Me to Heaven" Nevertheless I see many of you agree that she hit a bonafide "Bulls Eye" wuth this song.

4. Manuel- Ready Steady Go JUST KIDDING
Dave Rodgers - Make Up Your Mind
I don't care what anyone says, Dave this an oustanding job with this remake. His vocals were top notch so what was the problem? . I'll be so bold as to say that the reason many disliked it was because the original was Karen Wainwright and are bias to female vocals, but say what you say, this one was mega!

5. Neo - Midnight Love
This one was really good and I was really excited when it first came out, but as TIME went by AbeatC released better songs. Still with "Go Go Money" still on my mind, NEO continues one of my favorite ABEATC artists. Where the F**k did he disapear to?

I didn't really care too much for the magority of Go Go's new label, except Mega NRG Man being my favorite even above ABeatC and as many have stated, they appear too late in 170s to make a proper review of thier music, but if MNRGM is any clue as to what's ahead in the future, then I will become a bigger fan.

Just though I would do a better assesmant after reading some of the other entries. :D

Dave Rodgers - Make Up Your Mind
I don't care what anyone says, Dave this an oustanding job with this remake. His vocals were top notch so what was the problem? . I'll be so bold as to say that the reason many disliked it was because the original was Annerly and are bias to female vocals, but say what you say, this one was mega!
Actually the original vocals were Karen Wainwright, not Annerley :-)

But I too liked the remake and I think Dave sounds great. I've always liked his sound.

And also, why no Bad Bad Bad in your Time top 5 drnrg?? That's the best Time song from the 170's IMO! Glad you can now appreciate the wonder of Pamsy now at least - still the best female vocalist in Eurobeat today

Personally I thought Bad Bad Bad was one of the weaker titles Time produced this year - more of a gimmicky tribute to Delta's Boom Boom Fire.

The melodies sound a bit alike but that's about it. And why would Time do a tribute to Delta? That would be stupid.

The chord progressions to both are nearly identical. If you bump the pitch of Bad3 and sing the lyrics to Boom Boom Fire to it it'd be a carbon copy. The chord progressions are what people are hearing that reminds them of BBF.

Agreeing with many people, I think Moo Moo Dollars and Midnight Lady were HRG's big deals this time around. Both good stuff. :3

I agree with you about it being one of the more powerful and better TIME efforts of 170s. Hell, I was the one who first pointed out it's similarities to "Boom Boom Fire" On this review I wanted to kinda showcase the different styles the Labels have to offer. "Bad Bad Bad" would have fallen in the "Love Me In The Heat..." catagory and I like the TIme Force effort better. Just check out my weekly top 10s to see the coinsistency of my choices :D

Thanks for pointing out Christine and Pamsy diiference. I rarely make mistakes on vocalists  (being sarcastic, of course)

Pamsy is the lead vocals of the Scream Team trio (the other two being Ace and Stefano). I'm waiting for the song Millionare by Scream Team to be released (if ever...)

Since I don't like the way you are going, I prefer using Bore's method from the 170's review special. So let's go.

Label : Time
Time is a label that doesn't appeal me much. But, sometimes it does some good songs over time. That's what I don't like from Time : They are too much experimental. They try this, it's good, they try this, it's bad. Anyway, they were few big surprises here and here sometime that feels good.

Top 5

5. Don't Stop The Music 2006 by Lou Grant
At first, on IDW, I said that this song really dispointed me and I didn't really like it. After few listening, it growns somewhat in me. Since Time doesn't really make much better than that, it's in the top. And, still, the intro is still hyper catchy to me.

Score : 7.5

4. Parapara Girl by Barbie
At first, I thought it was SCP that made that but when I discovered it was Time, I was like "OMFG! I don't believe it!". When I first listened to it, the song struck to me like the rest of SEB 172. Even if today, the song is kinda sounding old to me, it's good to hear it sometimes. I wish time could make more songs like that.

Score : 8

3. Speed Man by Dave Simon
Sometime, I just wish every song would be like certain songs I like. The energy on this one is really great and sometimes and you ask to yourself why Time does apply this kind of Eurobeat to the rest of their songs on the label. This song is really great with a "Pride" (from Dave) and it's feeling just great.

Score : 8.25

2. Doctor Doctor 2007 by Lisa Johnson
Time's remixes are rarely good to my opinion and well, this time, I am of those that loves this remake of Doctor Doctor. This song offers a good range of mixing style including megamixing style of recording (skipping?). The song in itself is really good and I love it.

Score : 9

1. The World Is You by Mr. M
This song totally blow me away and it's from "The album where people don't like it and I'm the only one that likes it a lot". The major point that totally blow me away is the reference riff from "Once Upon A Time" (which I consider the best of all riff ever). So, it was a total it on my side and this song deserve its first place in my Time top 5.

Score : 10

Honorable mentions :
- Kasanova - Love Shining
- *Non-existant*

Label : A-Beat-C
A-Beat-C is a label that don't like much because of the lack of good names. Powerful T, Nuage & Mega NRG Man are the only artists that please me a lot. Dave Rodgers left me long ago because he could not make hits like Space Boy & The Race Is Over anymore. Well, this label is quite synonym of "Bad songs label" to me except for the few names that I said...

5. Countdown To Destination by Manuel
This is the last song Manuel did on A-Beat-C before moving to Go Go's Music. I must say that this song is one of his best. I love Manuel for most of his work. This one doesn't fail but it's not his best. Even with that, he makes the top 5.

Score : 8

4. Shine by Nuage
I'm not sure how everybody feels about this song. For myself, I love it and since the first time I listened to it. For me, it is one of best song from A-Beat-C in the 170's and made to #4 of the top 5.

Score : 8.5

3. Give Me A Sign by Nuage
Another by Nuage that has been loved by ears. It is in number 3 for the rank but #3 and #4 could be inverted. It's just the same.

Score : 8.5

2. Black Jack by Mega NRG Man
Wow... I love this song. I know that many of you don't think the same and I... don't really agree. Well, this song is a just a near-masterpiece to me. This is one of those songs you keep in mind a long time.

Score : 9

1. Glorious by Powerful T.
Apply what I said for number 2 here except that IT'S A MASTERPIECE! I never felt that good when I listen to it and rarely don't sing along even if "Glorious" sounds like "Gloria" or "Glorio". This is one of the songs I would like every label to take example of. Good work.

Score : 10

Honorable :
- Mega NRG Man - In The Sunrise
- Powerful T. - Into The Daylight
- Neo - Midnight Love
- Ray Sun - Black Devil
- Digital Planet - Today
- Ace Warrior - No Religion

Label : Go Go's Music
Domino's label (even if I don't like her) seems promising and since there's not much songs released yet under the label, I'll get a top 3 here instead. I just hope, that in the future, this label won't deceive me and bring some good eurobeat.

3. My Heart Goes Boom Boom by Betty Beat.
I first thought it would be a French Affair cover but it was not and, at first, shocked me a lot that it wasn't because I loved French Affair's song. But, after two listenings, this song pleased me. Althought I don't like to listen to it every time, it's still a good song to listen to.

Score : 7.5

2. Ready Steady Go! (Akabi Koubou Remix) by Manuel

B35+ r3m1x 3V4R!!

Score : 9.99/10

1. Ready Steady Go! by Manuel.
The big title that was the only hit on 177. This song is on the same level as Powerful T's Glorious. Just don't get me wrong.

Score : 10/10

Hononone mentions :
Look at two last syllable of the "honorable" above...

Label : Delta
It's a surprising label indeed. It's full of good stuff here and here where I didn't even thought it was made under Delta. It's a label I feel where they'll get good titles on every album even when you don't expect it (except some exception...). So, I expect more from them since they have the possibility to make more.

5. Dark And Bright by Nando
Since, Delta is so various on music quality I was quite feeling bad for the fact that I had to choose a space filler. This song just got this job. Well, it's not a bad song but not a bad one neither. Anyway, it's better than anything else below the 5th place...

Score : 7

4. Popcorn And Sex by Queen 26
This song got, for me, a 18+ rating for ESRB. j/k
This song got some moans, yes, but it's a good song overall. It,s not my favoprite but sure it is a better title than Dark And Bright.

Score : 7.5

1. Mad Desire by Stephy Martini
...
The top 3 are like all masterpieces. But, I just cannot chhose which one is the better and which one are the worst so... Mad Desire made it first equally with the two other below. It's just an awesome track from SEB 172 that it's worth to be an all-time best.

Score : 10

1. Rain by Cherry
It's one of the tied songs on the top for Delta. Cherry rarely does good song to me but when she does, it's all of a hit like this "The Cult" cover which is a perfect adaptation to Eurobeat. Masterpiece

Score : 10

1. Damn Damn My Heart by Delta Queen
The last tied for Delta. Well, this song is just fabulous and packed with energy. I cannot say how good this song from SEB 178 is. Seriously, it's an all-time hit!

Honorable mention :
- Queen 26 - Keep On Loving You

Label : Hi-NRG Attack
I call this label the "Label with the same kind of riff". Well, that's the case. I think that this label is such original at one time and not at the same time hence from the strange name titles from the various artist and the monotone and same riffs. However, this label sometimes get some good stuff around...

3. Moo Moo Dollar by Franz Tornado and The Mad Cow Orchestra
I correct the artist for Franz "Franz Tornado and The Non-Existant Orchestra". lol Anyway, it's in those songs that I find promising with great songs around and feel that it's packed with energy. Moooooooooooo!

Score : 8.25

2. Baby Call Me Frankenstein by Jungle Bill
Jungle has made only one songs that appeal me and it's "Baby Call Me Frankenstein". This song is quite original in itself and I just love the made laugh all around. It's a perfect halloween song and it's worth listening.

Score : 9

1. Get My Hot Gun by Mad Cow
It's my Masterpiece from Hi-NRG Attack. It got it all for staying in history. I just don't want to become forgotten over time because it's one of those unique where the energy is kinda stuck in itself because there's too much of it. Still, it's da masterpiece.

Honorable mention :
- Martina Dry - Get A Boom

Label : SCP
THE label. For me, it's the label that has the most chances to make me go crazy. It has the most potential too. It will be VERY hard to make a top 5 out of the releases.

5. Rockin' Hardcore by Fastway
This is indeed really hard to put up a top 5 for SCP. Anyway, Rockin' Hardcore made it to #5. It's a really exciting song. We know that cars could go very well along this song like a lot of SCP songs could do. It's one of the best song that Fastway made along with "Go Racin' Go!" (Got Honorable mention :( ), "Make Or Break" and "Shock Out". Keep up the good work Fastway!

Score : 9.25

4. Futureland by Ace
I remember that I have listened to this song one day non-stop. Everytime I listen to it, I think to my 'under construction' fanfiction of Golden Sun. Too, it makes me think of an happy future but which is like Eldorado comparatively. This song is jsut great!

Score : 9.5

3. One Touch by Ace Feat. La Gatta
The first impression I got of this song was like "Meh... the riff is original but is kinda lame". But, this impression quickly got away the more I listen to it. It's another of those songs I listened one day long non-stop. This song is just an energetic duo. I hope to hear more of La Gatta in the future.

Score : 9.6

2. Babyface by Pamsy
I think my impressions about this song grew lately. The more I listen to it, the more I like it. I do even think that this song equals "Once Upon A Time" but I just don't decide which of the two is the best or not. You see, it got the 2nd place but it could be the 1st you won't even see the difference between the two.....

Score 9.9

1. Once Upon A Time by Pamsy
Apply the two last sentences of #2 here... but I could add this one sentence :
This is the best song ever!!

Score : 10.5/10

Honorable Mentions (in no order...) :
- Go 2 - Power
- Fastway - Go Racin' Go
- Lisa & Ace - Getting The Fever
- Nick Mansell - Burn Me Up
- Fancy - Cover Girl
- Dusty - Go Wild
- Christine Feat. El Latino - Viva La Noche
- Kiki & Fancy - Tuttifrutti Lollipop
- Pamsy - My Universe
- Kiki & Fancy - Go Bananas
- Jay Lehr - Mystic Love

OVERALL 170 DECADE : 7.5
Justification :
171 : 6.5
172 : 9
173 : 7.5
174 : 7.5
175 : 7.5
176 : 4
177 : 3
178 : 8.5
179 : 3
