A very accurate compilation overall; my biggest disappointments would be the lack of Ace's 170's performances (One Touch and Futureland), Mira La Luna, and Sucka Sucka Pizza, although you can't get everything in life. Still though, Ace's songs deserved to show up more than anything else!
A-Beat C's selections are accurate overall; even though they underperformed during 2007, it was wise to include Say You'll Be There, Into The Daylight, and Gunfire. Powerful T.'s songs are well-picked (my least favorite tracks that he's recently done are BTTTRS, Dangerous Love, and Fight In The Night, but his other songs aren't that bad). Give Me A Sign over Shine is a little disappointing imo, but not a big deal, since the former is my second favorite Nuage release of 2007. Make Up Your Mind I'm not so happy to see, although I was very much anticipating that it would show up. Rock On Fire could've probably been replaced by I Feel The Rhythm Tonight, too.
TIME is rather so-so. I wasn't surprised to see Bad Bad Bad and What Kind Of Cure, but there are definitely many awesome tracks they produced which aren't here. The lack of Doctor Doctor 2007 is a shame, and Heartbreaker 2007 being 179's only appearance is disappointing.
Delta's picks are pretty much spot-on, save for no Mira La Luna. Otherwise, all of the tracks I was hoping for to make appearances ultimately found their way on. The lack of Bach Is Back is too bad, but Frontal Impact at least fills in the gap of fast eurobeat. (and speaking of which, Burning Up The Night (Total Fire) is nowhere to be found, which I won't complain about for reasons stated)
SCP is a mixed bag. While many of the big hits made it on, including Rockin' Hardcore, Go Wild, Viva La Noche, both Go 2 songs, etc., some major classics are still nowhere to be found. No Ace (minus Go 2) is just blasphemy, and Ennio's hogging up way too much space on both discs (
everything he did from 173 to 182 made an appearance). Also very surprised to see Go Bananas and Yo Yo Baby instead of Tuttifrutti Lollipop. Otherwise okay.
Hi-NRG Attack's picks are pretty much perfect, except there's no love for Jeff Driller. Sucka Sucka Pizza isn't present, although Franz Tornado's tracks are already loaded. Still, I still would've loved to have seen this.
Go Go's Music is probably the only label with an absolutely flawless selection imo. Everything I wanted from them made it onto the compilation; I'm especially pleased to see Gas Gas Gas, Go Go Where You Wanna Go Go, and My Heart Goes Boom.
Overall, I think this compilation appears to be quite accurate, but there's still a few major omissions. Above-average overall, even if not the best in the series.
