Is no one familiar with the Dancemania series? I guess a lot of this is comparable with the Dancemania Speed cd's. X:

I am, and so are ditz and cheeseman. Ebisumaru is as well, but he's not really into eurobeat anymore, which is probably why he hasn't been posting here lately. I got introduced to eurobeat through DDR and StepMania, not Initial D as most people here were.Densetsu13 wrote:I don't think many people here are Bemani fans, specifically DDR
I got introduced to Eurobeat through being introduced to ParaPara, due to being introduced to DDR.#Infinity wrote:I am, and so are ditz and cheeseman. Y'know what's funny? I actually laughed and made fun of Flash In The Night. I liked the background music, but something seemed too cheesey about it. I did, however, like Yozora No Muko and Boom Boom Dollar. I used to be an AVID DDR player...valiant wrote:Ah I remember it was DDR for me as well.
It started with Boom Boom Dollar (how can anyone forget that one on DDR 3rd mix?)
Then revived with John Desire's cover of a TM Revolution track (Hot Limit)
on DDR 5th Mix
Then revived again on DDR Max with the awesome track: Flashman's Flash In the Night (absolutely Brilliant!)
Then fascinated by the Anime One Piece's cover of a Lolita Song
Then discovering an album by chance on a bemani group's mirc channel.
Strange how I remembered all of this
For myself, DDR and ParaParaParadise was my introduction but I didn't know about the fact it was Eurobeat. Also, one day, I was searching for an anime, on animelyrics.com, an anime with lots of music so I could search the title on WinMX (long dead because of MPAA (god I loved that P2P!!)) and guess what anime I chose to search on... Yeah, Initial D! The fact is that I listened to the music before the anime itself which I watch like... last summer and I knew the music like a couple of years ago XD#Infinity wrote:I am, and so are ditz and cheeseman. Yeah but that was in Japan, it was chosen for DDR because it was popular here or elsewhere.Cosmic_Bard wrote:You have to remember, the dancemania series was chosen for DDR because it was popular. Not the other way around.
