Is no one familiar with the Dancemania series? I guess a lot of this is comparable with the Dancemania Speed cd's. X:

I don't think many people here are Bemani fans, specifically DDR :P

You have to remember, the dancemania series was chosen for DDR because it was popular. Not the other way around.

I am, and so are ditz and cheeseman. Ebisumaru is as well, but he's not really into eurobeat anymore, which is probably why he hasn't been posting here lately. I got introduced to eurobeat through DDR and StepMania, not Initial D as most people here were.

I got introduced to Eurobeat through being introduced to ParaPara, due to being introduced to DDR. :!:

Ah I remember it was DDR for me as well.

It started with Boom Boom Dollar (how can anyone forget that one on DDR 3rd mix? )

Then revived with John Desire's cover of a TM Revolution track (Hot Limit)
on DDR 5th Mix

Then revived again on DDR Max with the awesome track: Flashman's Flash In the Night (absolutely Brilliant!)

Then fascinated by the Anime One Piece's cover of a Lolita Song

Then discovering an album by chance on a bemani group's mirc channel.

Strange how I remembered all of this

Y'know what's funny? I actually laughed and made fun of Flash In The Night. I liked the background music, but something seemed too cheesey about it. I did, however, like Yozora No Muko and Boom Boom Dollar. I used to be an AVID DDR player...

Then I started researching the genre, and "Hi-NRG Attack" kept coming up. I had no idea what was going on! So I found this forum and site. Didn't post or anything, just read stuff.

Then I found Tam Arrow's Boom Boom Power for stepmania.

The rest is history. :3

The important thing is that this series got you guys into Eurobeat, even though I have no idea what you are talking about :P

For myself, DDR and ParaParaParadise was my introduction but I didn't know about the fact it was Eurobeat. Also, one day, I was searching for an anime, on animelyrics.com, an anime with lots of music so I could search the title on WinMX (long dead because of MPAA (god I loved that P2P!!)) and guess what anime I chose to search on... Yeah, Initial D! The fact is that I listened to the music before the anime itself which I watch like... last summer and I knew the music like a couple of years ago XD

That is about around 2006 I discovered the big batches and by the end of 160's serie that I discovered "the" forum. Since then, I'm following SEB around.

Our Moscow anime-fan movement discovered ParaParaParadise arcade in one of our central cinemas in 2004. I'm into eurobeat since this time.

Sorry but this isn't the right thread to talk about:
''How did you get in contact with eurobeat music''

Get used to it, this is how all the threads usually end up in this forum.

You have no say on how this thread should be treated

zoupzuop: How could you make fun of Flash in the Night?! That song is badass :P

Yeah but that was in Japan, it was chosen for DDR because it was popular here or elsewhere.

As for my other comment, I stand corrected. The amount of Bemani fans here is surprising, at least for me
