Yes in some songs I think A Beat C tries to give Elena some Annerley-ish sounds, you know, like the screaming... and, well, only Annerley can do that and make it sound not painful. But some people hate that too! I actually like the Jealousy song personally

I think Giancarlo did not do the vocals on 'Right time'. The vocals on this Chester do remind of an ABEAT track called 'Get back' from Raymond Barry. The picture on the back of the sleeve is a picture of Luigi Raimundi.drnrg wrote:You are right Ronald. "Hey Man" is Giancarlo.(my Badd..and I even have this 12'.Too much Eurobeat frys my brain cells) There is a perfect example of how That song and "Right Time"-Chester were released close to each other(In Catalogue numbers) and both vocals G.Pasquinni.
But if he's the one with the vocals

Adios,

Hey drnrg!
Sandy bee=Coke & Rum= GINO CARIA
Coke & Rum is very rare. It was not a great succes; with lots of imagination, it sounds a bit like a latin-italo-version 'one for you...' by La Bionda (it's an original track). But his voice was cool already! For a more steady energetic song, I would recommend Mr. Me - I Go Down though.
I understand your doubts, but it was him.

Hrhm my initial reactions to jealosu were hate, but by time I've grown to love it and especially the JJJEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAALLLOOOOOOOOOOOUSSSSSSYYYYYYYYYY part is what I love about the song. Elena is still a brilliant vocalist and honestly don't think any of the female vocalists come even close to her high pitched style (which is an art of its own).Jayveemon wrote:It's on the PPP Megamix (I forget which SEB it's on) and on Gazen ParaPara Campus Summit 2005 and Love Para2 Vol.1

Yes, thank you Bore, that's is my point - Elena may not have the prettiest voice or the best technical style, but she is sooo distinctive - any time you hear her vocals you know exactly who it is, and that's something that is rather difficult to come by. I had heard Jealousy before on the PPP soundtrack, but I actually really liked it! That was the first Eurobeat-oriented album I got though, so I may just have been blinded by the awesomeness of it all!Bore wrote:Hrhm my initial reactions to jealosu were hate, but by time I've grown to love it and especially the JJJEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAALLLOOOOOOOOOOOUSSSSSSYYYYYYYYYY part is what I love about the song. I left the Eurobeat World about 5 years ago. I quit buying the SEB cd's after 111. The music was fast, and the vocals were pitched up and distorted at that point. There was a song by Valentina right around that time that almost turned me off of Eurobeat for good. She has one of the most outstanding voices, yet they pitched it up until it was horrible.
I have just recently returned to the Super Eurobeat world. By accident. I bought the most recent Initial D's off of Ebay.........they turned out to be Miya, but regardless. I was expecting to find the horrible pitched up vocals again. But what i found was excellent music, still fast, and the vocals are more natural speed now. It's just the music and beat that are fast. I went back and ordered about 20 some SEB's. I find that around SEB 121, the vocals are a little more normalized and the songs became pleasant again.
Hi NRG Attack is almost 100% garbage IMO, for that very reason. Now matter what the speed of the music, the vocals should NEVER be pitched up in the original recording.
It's nice that a few slower songs like Nuage are being produced now.
