Unless he has a lawnmower blade stuck in his face, I can't see why he needs a model.

I think Maurizo De Jorio should represent himself (for at least one of his aliases), but it seems too late, since all have an image already associated with them. Honestly, I see him as fairly attractive. He's a very talented man, and I tend to think he deserves more credit than he gets. His voice is wonderful!

I don't think Avex barged into such things. You know, it's been a feature of Italian dance projects for a long time. See the vinyl sleeves of Vanessa, Sophie, Rose, Lisa Johnson, Gipsy & Queen from TIME, Mela, Molto Carina, Jenny Kee from ASIA, Trisha from STILNOVO, Whigfield etc. etc...
They are all models, not Clara, not Elena, not Annerley,huh?

There would be several reasons why the real singers don't show themselves. Sometimes it might be for strategy for market, sometimes real vocalists don't wanna be made public for some reason, who knows. (Mr. Gelmetti knows it for sure, though. lol)

For most of those vocalists, singing dance is just for getting extra income unless he/she engages exclusively in dance like Emanuela Gubinelli or Annerley. Ennio Zanini's saying so, so was Luca Anceschi. Even Clara, one of the Delta's producers, seems to have her heart in singing rock. Don't get me wrong. I'm not criticizing them.

Also it's the basic startegy in marketing... Sex Sells... Well Maurizio may be nice looking Edo has that hot raw sex factor about him

From what I've been told, but more in relation to the older "Italo Disco" music, the artists would lend their voice to an image, or a name. Maybe this is the reason for "Niko" ? Like, the whole image over actual singer thing that many musicians do. *shrugs* I think it's pretty funny though... how people take on so many names and images. It's quite unique and a big part of why I enjoy this genre so much.

I saw the NOF video... Niko is really athletic and I think that this is part of the strong image needed for his songs. Probably De Jorio is not so appealing.. or he's too old to do that. In addition De Jorio is D. Essex.. so....
Anyway... Niko is great! I missed his songs.. And I would like him to hear new songs in the future..

the main reason to get a model or good looking showman is only for market strategy,as you know.

...and eurobeat rockers do not mention their dance biz just becoz they feel ashamed about what they think be some stupid music,and prefer tell you they sold 500 copies of a solo rock album then saying 100.000 units sold singing eurobeat...sad but true!

Geez. Would it be too much to ask to have some people in the eurobeat industry who actually want to be there?

Wait I'm so confused.... Edo Arlenghi is the model for Niko or the singer? I thought Maurizio De Iorio was... I'm totally lost now... What name does Edo Arlenghi sing as?
