Couldn't tell you, but maybe...maybe not. I wouldn't be surprised that if some of the "gay" themed eurobeat songs (i.e. Gun Boy, In The Stars) aren't sung by gay singers. Of course, we don't know of any openly gay Euro singers, right? But as of right now, I'm thinking that the Mako vocalist probably isn't. They probably just sing what's given to them.

Also Gianni Coraini(Ken Laszlo) apparently did a Eurobeat remake of his own "Hey Hey Guy", under the name Jean Corraine(SEB 21).
The Italo and Eurobeat versions are different...

Seconded.

It's none of our business.

I read the lyrics and can't find anything "lesbian" about it.

Baby lady, wonder baby
Gimme all the time
Like a burning lover you can fall in

If you're referencing this part, I think she's singing as if the guy is talking...

---
Like I said, I can only find a couple of Eurobeat songs that read as very apparent "this guy is talking about another guy he likes", but they're few and far between.

No Doubt - Don't Speak(i've heard a few euroDANCE covers, eg Deja Vu & Tasmin, but no eurobeat versions so far)(Leslie Parrish)
She Movez - Breaking All The Rules(Lolita/Virginelle)
Taylor Dayne - Tell It To My Heart(Helena)
Erasure - Run To the Sun(very eurobeatish HI-NRG classic)(Kevin Johnson)
Dead Or Alive - Something In My House(Boogaboo)(good halloween themed NRG)
Speaking of Dead or Alive, there's an unreleased HRG song called Fesutaru - Dead Or Alive(Festari, I presume). I wonder if this will be released on a future iTunes album.

That's also interesting, the same singer doing two different songs with the same name. And the first was a "gay" love song, while the second is a duet with a girl. What is Coraini's real orientation, anyway? Did he ever disclose it?
It's just a similiar name. What are you, completely new to Eurobeat or something? :P

I love the original song so much... and, I think the song is really really really Eurobeat-ish, so it would be easy to make a Eurobeat cover.
Actually, the Speedycake remix is a little bit more Eurobeat-ish.

Talking about italo-disco, though, I listened to "Don't Stop" by Digital Emotion (from their self-titled 1984 album). There are a lot of arpeggiated synths between the 2:06-2:18 mark on the original, and that got me thinking: this would be a great song to remix for SEB. In fact, I did a little experiment where I increased the tempo by 15% to a more typical eurobeat tempo (from 130.1 BPM to 149.6 BPM). By changing it to a faster tempo, the total time was cut from 4:40 to 4:03, which means it would fit perfectly as an edit on an 18-track SEB compilation. In the speeded up version, that arpeggiated section is from 1:49-2:00.

The only problem with this song (for it to be on a eurobeat compilation) is that there is a long section in the middle (1:36-3:09) with no vocals. Nonetheless, this can easily be remixed and have more vocals added. I think that Delta, HI-NRG Attack, or Time would be the best at remixing this. If we want duets, the only ones that I can think of off the top of my head in those companies are Kevin & Cherry (Delta) and Franz Tornado & Bazooka Girl (HI-NRG Attack).

BTW, I decided to upload the speeded-up version. I couldn't figure out how to cut it below 0:30 or even 2:00 without losing the important parts, so I uploaded the whole thing. If you are a eurobeat or italo-disco producer and want this file removed, please post on this thread or PM me.

I know because the BPM is way higher (it's 160 BPM I think and the original is ~135 BPM). I know I have that version myself.

Anyway, one way or another, I want that song produced into Eurobeat so badly ;_;

The BPM of the Speedycake Remix is 164.20, according to MixMeister BPM Analyzer.

Speaking of Rick Astley - Together Forever, Kevin Johnson covered Taco's Got To Be Your Lover, which sounds similar to that song and NGGYU

Oh man, we've been breached! Speedycake's Caramelldansen has finally hit the main gates...

...one of them... one of them... one of them... one of them...
