I finally had a chance to listen to all tracks so here's my rating:

01. Ace - Futureland - 8/10
02. Annalise - With Your Photograph - 9/10
03. Kevin Johnson - You Light My Fire - 7/10
04. Lolita - Stop The Time Tonight - 7/10
05. Mega NRG Man ft. Kiko Loureiro - Rock Me - 8/10
06. Vanity - Take A Look In My Heart - 7/10
07. Domino - Go Go Where You Wanna Go Go - 4/10
08. Franz Tornado & Mad Cow Orchestra - Moo Moo Dollars - 0/10
09. Kiki & Fancy - Tuttifrutti Lollipop - 1/10
10. Energy Man - Bad Bad - 5/10
11. Pamsy - My Universe - 6/10
12. Jeff Driller - Furious Pistol - 2/10
13. Helena - Night Harmony - 7/10
14. Jock Lee - Rock & Roll Is My Life - 4/10
15. Melissa White - Starry Sky - 7/10
16. Eurofunk - Running Ninja - 2/10
17. Cherry - Rain - 6/10
18. Dave Rodgers ft. Stef Burns - Red Core - 8/10

Not any REAL favourites on this album, but lots of "very good" ones instead. Unfortunately this album to me felt overloaded with pointless songs too. It hurts me that my biggest Eurobeat star, Domino, has returned with a song like this. I wonder why many of you like the song so much - just because she's back and you expected worse? Come on, this woman has given us amazing hits where she put up somewhat of a mature voice and at least tried to stay away from nervous synths and too many "na na na's". So far, I'm not at all impressed with Go Go's Music and I hope that (considering that talented people that work there) they manage to combine the skilled production they now show with some great lyric and songwriting too.

Just my two cents!

Because it's incredibly catchy and bouncy. The production quality is really high. I love the percussion and the bass. It's just a fun, silly, cheery, happy song.

Wow, you have a very specific taste in Eurobeat...

Even me, who usually hates most Hi-NRG and Time and a just a TINY bit of SCP, loved all their new songs. Example: I disliked all the previous Kiki and Fancy songs, but I love this one and cant stop listening to it.

Are we listening to different albums?

Remember guys, this is Marc Iventi's review. He is usually pretty brutal on Eurobeat now-a days.

Isn't Ace a SCP artist  [/quote]

The Lolita and Mega NRG Man songs ;)

I love how Mark rated Mu Mu Bucks (moo moo dollars) 0/10 =D!

And I do kind of agree with him. I was <strike>expecting</strike> hoping for a little better stuff from GGM... Rating the new Kiki&Fancy song that low is a no-no for me, tho. >:E

Opinions are opinions! =D

Futureland is SCP, Stop The Time Tonight is the other GO GOS MUSIC track.

Schiznik - Actually, I've been listening to Running Ninja more - it was one of those songs for me that I need to listen a bit to start liking it more and more. I will amend my review and take Running Ninja out of the bottom 5. For the replacement, I'd probably put the Helena song but I'm not sure for now. :)

I am in love with this album. I still say 141 is my favorite, next with 164... but 175 is quite a treat to my ears! I hope the trend continues. :D

Hi guys!

Yes, I loved the other two GGM tracks and Domino was disappointing to me because I expect so much of her. She's just done too many good tracks to get away with a Disney song for me!

However, the point I tried to make but didn't succeed was that I'm not impressed with GGM as in: they are a different label, but if you told me the tracks were A.Beat-C I wouldn't be surprised. I guess if you blindfold someone and play them a SEB they cannot tell the difference. I was hoping for fresh music from this new label in an extreme way - new ideas in the scene. They sure have the talent for it. If I'd start a Eurobeat label I would mix Eurobeat up with so many other music styles, do some crazy intro's, write serious lyrics and always try to create magical melodies without being hyper or childish. Just to shake things up and give new inspiration to the series.

There's not much "bad" music on this or other SEB albums, I think we just need some new directions on at least a few songs and a new label would've been THE chance...

This is what I like about SEB albums - there's a total different aray of music, even though it's the same genre. Someone will like the happy, fast and upbeat songs where someone will say they dislike it because it's happy, fast and upbeat. Same with those with the powerful 'rock' type songs, people will love and hate the song because of that sound. It's pretty interesting.

To me, some of these songs aren't fast enough! I've even sped up some of the songs from previous SEBs (Big In The Night, I'll Be Live - two songs that I can recall that I've done that) just so I can enjoy them more. hahaha

Though, I think there is one thing we all can agree with - SEB175 held many many many songs with really high production, which is what I'm more happy about. The eurobeat isn't being all wishy washy with half-assed produced tracks that are easily forgettable. Even the songs I really disliked, to me, were high quality in the production department. It's great to see the producers and artists from all the labels taking great care in how their music is made. :D

Hehe, good to hear. I loved it the second I heard it, and I agree, most Eurobeat doesnt stand out that much for me when I first hear it, actually, some of my favourite songs I hated when I first heard (Shy Gun, Speedy Speed Boy, etc..) and now are some of my favourite Eurobeat songs ever. It's just one of those genres where first impressions shouldnt really judge how you like the song.

Also, 141 and 164 = some of the best albums. Master Power, Pride, Bad Tonight, In The Night, Fuku Wa Uchi, etc... some of my fave Eurobeat songs of all time.

Anyways, anyone notice how all the SEB productions are becoming more "trance-like"? With the heavy bass in some songs and trance elements, it's nice to hear something fresh.

Also, I agree with Mark that GGM is a tiny bit of a dissapointment just because I was expecting some kind of revolution or something, but that was asking way too much. As long as it means more Domino and Mega NRG Man, i'm all up for it! (Maybe a Domino AND NRG Man duo?) Now that, would be interesting.

^ That's a great example. Eurobeat is a bit stuck in a box, they need to do some EXTREME things in my opinion. Like a duet between Clara and Annerley (label crossovers), or maybe an 80s inspired song by one of the SCP artists. Anything that will make people say "hmm, this is interesting" without even having heard it.

I have mixed feelings about these new trance-like songs. It depends on the vocalist...

I have to agree you with and Mark on this... I really do like Ms. Gatti's new label and songs(!!), but I was expecting something else. Something more noticable, maybe? But yes.
