It depends on if the label gave away their Eurobeat publishing (some labels do more than Eurobeat/Hyper Techno). Labels like Go Go's Music, SinclaireStyle, and SCP have given their publishing exclusively to Avex, so they are dependent on whenever Avex makes a move in either direction. Labels like Delta, Hi-NRG Attack, SAIFAM and LED/Vibration (may it rest in peace) did NOT give their publishing away, and thus may publish Eurobeat on iTunes and Juno under Avex's discretion (Avex may not be able to stop them, but they sure can try to make them not WANT to publish).DJ Mike TJG wrote:I am surprised more labels don't go down the Juno/iTunes route - does Avex's control over them really prohibit them selling to Western countries?
It could also be there are hidden overhead costs of uploading to Juno/iTunes that are prohibitive - maybe the expected return just isn't enough to pay to have their music listed?
Who knows!

A couple of clips that are really growing on me are Mike West and Pistole Girl. "Si La Do" has a very exciting chord progression played throuout the chorus and her vocals are not too hyped and "All I Want Is You" sounds like it might have some distinct female back up in there. I still can't get over how much Angie Sweet's song sounds like Lonely Night

I found it interesting that RipRap and Plum helped compose 'For Your Love' by Norma Sheffield. For those who don't know, they also wrote and produced 'Melody' by Nagisa and 'Long Night' by mioco.
I see this as a good move by A-Beat C. They really need to venture out and seek other writers and producers to help overcome the slump they're in.

No, importing is not piracy - buying CD's, importing and then ripping them to pirate them is piracy (which I'm thinking is what #Infinity means).wolftickets1969 wrote:By that logic, importing is piracy too?#Infinity wrote: People will still be able to pirate their music by buying the albums from cdjapan, anyway.
By making the music less easy for international markets to access is not going to stop the piracy issues (as people have already said).
Also 'Pink in the Pink' by Ai Yamamoto, so this *could* be an Avex request...Jay wrote:I found it interesting that RipRap and Plum helped compose 'For Your Love' by Norma Sheffield. For those who don't know, they also wrote and produced 'Melody' by Nagisa and 'Long Night' by mioco.

Note: The ABeatC(plus a few GGM Mega NRG Man tracks) and Niko iTunes special collections were listed as being published by Rodgers & Contini, and SinclaireStyle SRM, respectively, but the SCP albums have Avex listed as the publisher, implying that SCP publishing is indeed completely taken over by Avex.zoupzuop2 wrote: It depends on if the label gave away their Eurobeat publishing (some labels do more than Eurobeat/Hyper Techno). That's been pretty much common knowledge for years hasn't it? That's why we never see unreleased SCP stuff cropping up on Juno or the like...wolftickets1969 wrote:Note: The ABeatC(plus a few GGM Mega NRG Man tracks) and Niko iTunes special collections were listed as being published by Rodgers & Contini, and SinclaireStyle SRM, respectively, but the SCP albums have Avex listed as the publisher, implying that SCP publishing is indeed completely taken over by Avex.zoupzuop2 wrote: It depends on if the label gave away their Eurobeat publishing (some labels do more than Eurobeat/Hyper Techno). Well, got some of the tracks from iTunes (highly recommend JList, they even walk you through the process, although in any case it's a LOT easier than mu-mo was), although getting the card info isn't instantaneous.
The tracks are nice. A very calming cd.
Fever of Love - Regina, I mean, Stephy Martini - Sounds very much like the late Vibration sound updated. And that's a good thing.
Happy Valentine - Ai Yamamoto - Soothing, reminds me a lot of Norma Sheffield. She sounds better than some of her other songs, a bit more mature.
Give It All Up To Me - Pamsy & Jay Lehr - I'm gonna like this one, eventually. These take a while to warm up to for me. Sounds almost like they mashed together a Melissa White & Ace duet with a Lucya-style song. It's nice.
Si La Do - Pistol Girl - Something about pizza...? Average HRG, nothing too outstanding, but not bad.
For Your Love - Norma Sheffield - Not her best, but it's alright. The breakdown towards the end is really empty though.
Dolcevita Tonight - Rick Castle - Typical Rick Castle, it's HRG-lite. The same sounds, but a bit calmer and relaxed. Vocals seem even more subdued.
Fantasy - Virginelle - The main song (especially the synth line) sounds like a really nice updated version of the song (an album late), but the introduction and the breakdown feel a bit lacking. It's like they had that part be the soft section, but it really contrasts with the more upbeat arrangement for the main song.

Too much crappy songs make this an average/below average album, A-Beat-C has done it this time, They presented two crappy songs for this album and I am surprisingly not surprised at all. However, There are groundbreaking songs, Yes I am serious, but it just isn't enough to bring the level up.
