He might be used to hearing "your old songs are ace, but the new ones suck". Since the new ones are totally (I think) produced by him, he must appreciate them the most.
Generally yes, however his quote from YouTube might be interpreted in a double meaning.magiblot wrote: 10 Jul 2017, 13:20He might be used to hearing "your old songs are ace, but the new ones suck". Since the new ones are totally (I think) produced by him, he must appreciate them the most.
To not make confusion, I agree.xiao wrote: 10 Jul 2017, 17:52Music's an expression of oneself, some people'll like it & some people won't.
According to my experience even with the most modern computer programs you can't make Eurobeat in several hours. You can imitate the style of Eurobeat but that's all.Crockett wrote: 10 Jul 2017, 16:05
For addition he has no pressure, can't have any serious plans with Eurobeat as Avex Trax artist, he uses like never before the computer programs replacing all real studio plus small mixing home console, which help him make Eurobeat in several hours, if he only would want.
Thank you for some details, which help me express more what I want. The most important we needed to hear, whether he doesn't like at all the older stuff or just want to be recognised by Eurobeat composed by himself.Anthony McBazooka wrote: 17 Jul 2017, 09:56According to my experience even with the most modern computer programs you can't make Eurobeat in several hours. Manuel's songs are far too complex and well-arranged to be done in such a short amount of time. And as I know him, he doesn't dislike the old songs but he is bored of only being recognised by those songs because he has new songs he composed all by himself and seeks for recognition for those songs.
And you know, if Manuel wants to be recognized for his own productions, then why is he not putting independent tracks up on trackitdown or juno for people to buy (unless there is some contract obligation that says any track he makes automatically belongs to Avex)? Why is he not advertising his productions (I'm on his FB as well, and I can't think of any advertisement he does). Surly the tracks he makes for GoGo's Music aren't his only tracks.Anthony McBazooka wrote: 17 Jul 2017, 09:56According to my experience even with the most modern computer programs you can't make Eurobeat in several hours. I can understand him but I also understand that the remaining Eurobeat “market” doesn't work like that.
That's also one reason I'm not so motivated to create new own stuff at the moment if for every new song you get two or three positive reactions, but also two people pissing on you because it's not exactly how they would have wanted it and the rest of people completely ignore you … well, it's no wonder Eurobeat is coming to a point where it's on the edge of becoming a discontinued music style.

Outside all of that, his older productions are top notch, simple as that. People want that sound, and he's not doing it, so either he adjusts his sound, or he continues making his current sound for a CD series only catered to what's left of the eurobeat crowd in Tokyo scene full of people who want the old sound, or at least SOMETHING energetic. Or, like stated above, start DJing parties, use your own tracks not licensed to Avex and other independent artists, get your name out there, and make your songs available via mp3 sites so a wider audience can hear his sound which might get the reactions he wants.
Especially when people put videos on YouTube with Pictures of Hitler and dead Jews to the song Gas Gas Gas and think that would be funny.xiao wrote: 18 Jul 2017, 07:27I think Manuel's just tired of the stigma that comes attached to being associated with the old A-Beat-C, which in turn has become somewhat of a joke on internet culture, propagated by the Initial D anime and really sketchy memes kids are into nowadays.Crockett wrote: 17 Jul 2017, 14:56And you have a bigger chance to be valued by me personally, just doing music
They were good songs ~ s'just the internet somehow manages to kill everything thru those tasteless repetitions of art kiddo's call memes these days.
As a fan/follower/etc (hate those words) I procure to value people for being human beings, not by the music they make. ☆
Don't want to make offtopic or express a kind of regret, I personally don't lose anything, but where during one whole year are these hundreds of people follow memes, loudly declare how big fans they are, when artists share informations, news, memories on photos, when I use my fan pages to share the same things you will never see and find out anywhere else ?xiao wrote: 18 Jul 2017, 07:27I think Manuel's just tired of the stigma that comes attached to being associated with the old A-Beat-C, which in turn has become somewhat of a joke on internet culture, propagated by the Initial D anime and really sketchy memes kids are into nowadays.

That's correct. I mean the specific image of hundreds fans nowadays on the internet, social media, where private supporters, artists spread as much is possible, what already left Japan, Italy and isn't a secret, unachievable.para_rigby wrote: 18 Jul 2017, 22:30Japanese fans vs the world fans premise.
since Avex and other companies promote eurobeat strictly within Japan.
