Err, I emailed and asked if I could visit...?

What I found out... Well, I went twice, once when they were finishing up Super Striker, and once when they were working on the arrangement of Just For Me. Hard to really pinpoint specifics I learned, a lot of it was the experience of being there, seeing them work. And seeing the studio, equipment and so on was nice.

Did learn about the vocal double-tracking techinque there. And how to fix timing through crossfading. And a couple synth things that I haven't really applied.

Double lead tracking is a part of an *annoy a producer* package.
If he has it too easy, have him do all those *not necessarily required*
extras just to increase his workload.

What synths dId u see them actually use at SCP?

Whay synths? Well... The usual ones, I suppose. You can check Ritmo & Blu for their hardware synths, although they have a couple more than listed. Software-wise, the ones I saw were FM7, Atmosphere, Superwave Pro, Vanguard... That's what I remember right now... Besides, it's how you use it that's more important.

Recording double tracked vocals, of course, is additional effort when instead "artificial" double tracking or vocal thickening could be used. Good double tracked vocals sound fantastic though.

However, I think that, in general, EB seems to have high quality vocals, also it has nice "lush" vocal harmonies.

Yeah. I just find double-tracking gives that warmth that chorusing or other effects just doesn't do. It's annoying, especially editing the timing, but well worth it.

I made this one with a free midi sequencer, so only 6 tracks were used,
and it has no riff. It's very cheesy.

I wonder if anyone could develop it...

Seems okay. For some reason, the tempo seems to pulse, though, or maybe I'm just hearing things.

I'll give a go at this, if you don't mind.

(edited whole post, since it's all obsolete now, studio is set up! XD)

Well, working on it. Written some prelim lyrics:

Listen baby, I can show you
Give you delight and a night to hold
So baby, do you want to know
I can show you the world this time

You just make my head spin crazy
Stopping my control (whoa-oa)
Now this night I wanna tell you
You can come, have it all my baby

Take my heart, I don't need to have it any more
Since I have met you my baby
Take my heart, giving it to you my love
And I know that you will keep it
Take my heart, I don't need to have it any more
Since I have met you my baby
Take my heart, giving it to you my love
Tell me that you'll keep it

Touch me baby, I can give you
Show you some fun, never let you go
Now baby, I want you to know
I can give you my all this time

Aw, it's kewl ! Thanks!
What a fast worker! and that you went so far as to write the lyrics... :D

Here is the lyrics I had written:

(1st verse)
Hey, Hey hottie, Don't be so shy
It's time for you to free your mind
Now I can see the flame of lust
Burning higher inside your heart

(bridge)
Don't play hard to get that way
In a case like this
I see through you
like a piece of broken glass
Now I'm ready for you

(chorus)
Cum! Cum! Cum!
Cum on baby, Gotta get to do it
Naughty action, dirty passion
Cum! Cum! Cum!
Cum on, Shake it up and down
To the beat of my desire

Cum! Cum! Cum!
Cum on baby, Gotta get to do it
High emotion, hot sensation
Cum! Cum! Cum!
Cum on, Suck it up and down
In the heat of the dark

(2nd verse)
Hey, Hey hottie, Wanna try me?
Cuz I can tell you it's a real thing
Look, never let you down on my soul
Feeling so tight inside my jeans

o.O

And people accuse *ME* of writing explicit lyrics!? Who do you think you are, David Brandes?

Well, I was going to offer to try out vocals if you couldn't, but I'm not sure even *I* could do those lyrics...

I think I'm gonna slightly rearrange it then, see if I can't get more of a porn feel to it then, though I might keep the one I'm working as a "Take My Heart" mix. :P

----- (a little bit later)

http://www.sendspace.com/file/sw50fy - NOT safe for work

Sampled a... video... and added a bit of funk guitar, along with some other not really noticeable changes, but gave it an intro.

So, who *is* going to sing this?

*lmao* Sooooooo hilarious!
I wonder why you got that Japanese gay porno video. *grins*

Well, I never thought my lyrics were that blatant, though they
are a "guy meets guy" story in a vaseline villa.
So the sampling sounds exactly suitable. lol

Uh...could you please thicken the base line (like slap bass) and
add some cowbell like DOA if available?

I think I'm going to sing mine at some time.

Yeah!!! If I had Sofware required to add lyrics to music ,I would totally give those lyrics a go at it. Not because of the gay storyline, but because they sound so dirty like Gino Caria would sing. In Fact I sing Gino Caria songs so often(in my private domaine) that I believe I could pull off a pretty decent wannabe

Put put put your finger in my body and than
You lick lick lick everywhere you wanna lick go!!!
Come come come now you're coming pretty soon oh babe
Then You Feel the heat That I'm spitting over you

From Atomic Playboy :D
