Down to a top 30 this week. Some of these new songs are losing the staying power and replay value for me so a few older songs make my chart, but take notice both Ciao Ciao and Corrado allready top 10. The power of those two songs is immense ,since I've only heard them for 3 days, but still none is heavy enough to dethrown the now Claudio Magnani classic of
Stardust
Dr. NRGs Top 30 Eurogrooves
1.
Mr. Moog- Stardust (Dima Music) (1)(1)(5 weeks)
if I need to hear Corrodo's song about 3x in a row, then I listen to this song about 5x. It's just so perfectly comosed that it's now on the brink of giving Chris Stanton and Manuel a run for their money as song of the year. Claudio spending 5 weeks at number one is realy backtracking to his TIME/HRG Attack days.
2.
Dream Fighter- All About You (Dima Music) (7)(2)(+5)
Now we are up to a true Aishu song. Not only in the melody, but also in the lyrics, which is the core reason this song hit with me so quickly. This week it soars up just enough notches to threaten the current champ.
3.
Joe D. Toaster- Feel The Power Inside (HRG Attack) (3)(3)(2 weeks)
If you loved Live Music Studio's sound at TIME records ,then you will surley fall head over heals for Joe's very Powerful song. It hold it's own just behind two of the biggest hits Dima composed this year
4.
Claudia VIP- Lucky Star (HRG Attack) (2)(2)(-2)
Sliding just two slots is the latest Claudia VIP song, but don't count her out for this song has that much needed staying power to remain on my charts for many weeks to come.
5.
Michelle Rose- Hard To Say I'm Sorry (HRG Attack) (4)(1)(-1)(3 weeks#1)
And not far apart on sound flavour is the former #1 from Michelle Rose. The classic "Galloping bass" is what shot this to immortal value on my list. Beautiful/Modern and Powerful, and still sounding like HRG Attack.
6.
Ciao Ciao- The Magic Of Sunshine (HRG Attack) (HOT SHOT debut)(6)
When I think of Ciao Ciao I get flashbacks of my golden Italo/NRG days of Asia label. Ciao as an act, has had quite a few hits under thier wings, but this one will surly go down as one of the biggest. The chorus is 100% Italo inspired and to call this song Aishu would be a stretch for it features some of the most powerful sounding soundworlds ever on an HRG Attack song. It took me a bit to get used to it(about 5 plays), but now the song dominates the new batch of SEB 208.
7.
Marco- I Need A Revolution (DELTA) [8](7)(+1)
Seldom does a brand new Eurobeat artist have two songs on the top 10, but this TIME around it seems as if Marko/Corrado has found a great sound. The revolution is on and DELTA is right on the frontine.
8.
Corrado- Queen Of Heart (DELTA) (-)[8]
Here is one of the highest debuts this week. It's from SEB 208 and it's a perfect example of a song that I must listen to at least 4 x in a row each TIME it comes around on my player. Gone is the rehashed Capaldi intro and instead we have something totally fresh sounding. Add to the fact that it uses the old skool female backup at the end of each line and I immediatly enter my Eurobeat zone. The jumpy riff is only the icing on the cake. A perfect DELTA package reminding me a bit of Ken's "When The Sun Goes Down" that for me was also perfect on all levels.
9.
Dave Rodgers- The Race Is A Game (AbeatC) (5)(3)(-4)
A song from the 90s or early 2000s as stated by AVEX easily becomes Dave's biggest hit this year. The mancan do no wrong when it comes to a wicked racing themed song.
10.
Hot December- Touch Me Honey (King Records) (11)(10)(+1)
After holding on to #11 for weeks on end, Hot December makes an expected jump into the top 10, which at the moment is the hardest list to get into for the shear competition value of the songs it contains.
11.
Frank Torpedo- Power High Energy (TIME records) (RE)(11)(former #1 for 7 weeks)
I reguard this as one of the last songs released on TIME with Gino Caria vocals, so it instantly became number one when it was first released. I concider this song more Hi-Energy sounding that Eurobeat beacause of the Bouncy Italo riff. The way Gino carries out each verse is so full of that oppressed passion he was notorious for. many come close to delivering a song with such passion, but there will only be one Gino Caria. Songs like this Walking On The Moon, People Of Music and Jumping Up The Nations had the perfect sense of turning Italo melodies into Eurobeat flava.
12.
The Race Of The Night- Dave Rodgers (Sun Fire) (6)(6)(-6)
I like Sunfire and I generally like the magoraty of AbeatC's male sung songs. Dave spent quite a few weeks in the top 10 with two songs. This week it loses some ground, but still a big hit.
13.
Cy-Ro- It's All Up To You (HRG Attack) (10)(4)(-3)
this song has been on my list forever. Ironically I thought I would be dissapointed with HRG's new slower style, but instead has made me love the label even more. Only got as high as number 4, but has earned enough countdown points to make it one of the highest ranking songs of the now in precess year end countdown.
14.
Destinee- Wonderwoman Dream (Dima Music) (16)(14)(+2)
her debut hit is still on the climb and sure to become one of the most celebrated aishu songs of the year before it runs out of steam.
15.
Hot Blade- Plastic (SCP) (13)(1)(-2)(#1 for 3 weeks)
This song is still so full of power. I had to remix it with those Instrumntal versions offered on itunes to give it a real extended feal, thus the reason I probobly enjoyed it more than most.
16.
Bigga Boom- Christine (SCP) [18](16)(+2)
Still bouncy and sprightly enough to make a two notch jump is Christine's latest hit.
17.
Powerful T. - Louder & Faster (Sun Fire) (15)(3)(-2)
Slowly ,but steadily Powerful T. eases down the chart with the more Louder & Faster sound of Sun Fire records
18.
Manuel- Limousine (GGMs) (14)(14)(-4)
Manuel is definatley on a role this year with his Night Rain and former #1 song "All Is Magic", but for me the competition is just too high for this song to make any top 10 appearences.
19.
Cy-Ro- Pretty Woman (HRG Attack) (-)(19)
Total Italo Awesomeness from Claudio Accantino and gang makes a nice big debut in the top 20. I swear this could have been released on Asia records back in the day as well.
20.
Garcon- On The Top Again (HRG Attack) (17)(4)(-3)
Didn't quite go to the top again, but in the midst of HRG Attacks slower songs, it really stood out as a huge hit.
21.
Sonic Ray- Magic Ray Of Fire (Blast) (25)(21)(+4)
A late commer to my list, since I tiotally missed it the first TIME around is making modest waves on the list as it sits just one slot shy from the top 20. I know I've heard these vocals before, I just can't pin point where?
22.
Mark Hunter Project- Para Paradise (King records) (9)(5)(-12)
Taking the biggest dive is ironically the King records offering that sounded most like those late 90's entries from TIME, but it did become top 10
23.
Radiorama- You Are Always On My Mind (Saifam) (20)(6)(-3)
Saifam seemed to be on a role, but I fear this will be the last of thier songs to grace my chart. At least for now.
24.
Kassandra- Fire Of Love (King Records) (21)(20)(-3)
A nice flashback sound of early 2000s is what this song offers. Especially in the riff.
25.
Louise- Screaming Out The Power (HRG Attack) (19)[8](-6)
No stranger to the list is Louise who slides a bit with her very Powerful "Screaming Out The Power"
26.
Hi Love- Jay Lehr (SCP) (23)(23)(-3)
The latest Jay Lehr hit sounds too much like a Little Little Star carbon copy to make any real waves on my list.
27.
Max Bishop- Sumo King (King Records) (29)(27)(+2)
A few King records are still on my list. One of the oldest makes a modest 2 notch move to number 27
28.
Helena- Melodies & Rain (TIME records) (RE)[28]
This song blew me away when it first came out for its intro alone. Those first few Violine notes immediatley made it a top 5 favourites. Made a remix of it on audacity and garnered enough palys tio make the list
29.
Vicky Vale- Your Barbi Girl (DELTA) (26)(3)(-3)
Another of the older songs that still heavy on my playlists remains in my downsized list.
30.
Joe Banana- Cataclysm Night (HRG Attack) (24)(1)(-6)
Even after 10 slots are eliminated, Joe manages to remain in the top 30 for one last week
Songs that fell out:
Songs that bored me from one week to the next
On Sizzle:

Laura Vox- Jungle Of Fire
