Talking about italo-disco, though, I listened to "Don't Stop" by Digital Emotion (from their self-titled 1984 album). There are a lot of arpeggiated synths between the 2:06-2:18 mark on the original, and that got me thinking: this would be a great song to remix for SEB. In fact, I did a little experiment where I increased the tempo by 15% to a more typical eurobeat tempo (from 130.1 BPM to 149.6 BPM). By changing it to a faster tempo, the total time was cut from 4:40 to 4:03, which means it would fit perfectly as an edit on an 18-track SEB compilation. In the speeded up version, that arpeggiated section is from 1:49-2:00.

The only problem with this song (for it to be on a eurobeat compilation) is that there is a long section in the middle (1:36-3:09) with no vocals. Nonetheless, this can easily be remixed and have more vocals added. I think that Delta, HI-NRG Attack, or Time would be the best at remixing this. If we want duets, the only ones that I can think of off the top of my head in those companies are Kevin & Cherry (Delta) and Franz Tornado & Bazooka Girl (HI-NRG Attack).
Not bad Jason. I actually perfer thier other mega classic, Go Go Yellow Screen. Again it has a long instrumental in the beggining, but the melody could easily be revamped to Eurobeat style and the female singer ,who is allready really high pitched aslo fits the style perfect.

I don't know if TIME could pull it off vocally,(maybe Susan Key) but HRG Attack and DELTA definately could.

Speaking of Dead or Alive, there's an unreleased HRG song called Fesutaru - Dead Or Alive(Festari, I presume). I wonder if this will be released on a future iTunes album
Concidering that most HRG Attack songs follow a DOA melody-wise beat; it should definately live up to it's name.

Actually, the Speedycake remix is a little bit more Eurobeat-ish.

I know because the BPM is way higher (it's 160 BPM I think and the original is ~135 BPM). I know I have that version myself.

Anyway, one way or another, I want that song produced into Eurobeat so badly
I heard this and I'm pretty sure you all know what I think and that youtube video only made things worse. I kept hoping they would all turn on each other with guns and blow themselves away, much like they do in "Battle Royal". :P

 OMD - Enola Gay(Cristian DeLeo, would fit the TIME/Dallora instrumentation style)
Robert Miles & Maria Nayler - One and One(Kelly T)
Dan Hill & Vonda Shepard - Can't We Try(Daniel & Cherry)
Netzwerk - Memories(?)(Eurodance, but has a Eurobeat vibe)
Mike Mareen - Agent Of Liberty(HRG?)(good old Italo)

Great song! Anyone in particular for the vocals? Fedderico could do a great job, but I would love a duet style with Ciao Caio or Alice In Paraparaland

I prefer Relight my Fire. Saifam allready did it once and it sounded great.

Sabrina - Boys Boys Boys(Baby Bazooka, or Nikita Jr)
Aqua - My Oh My(Alice in ParaParaLand featuring Garcon)
Darude - Out of Control(Dhany, or better yet, Trancey Pamsy)
Philip Oakey - Together In Electric Dreams(another Italo/Hi-NRG classic, you may remember the cover by the Canadian Eurodance group Outta Control)
Limahl - The Neverending Story(Dave & Kelly T or Annalise)
Forgot A-ha - Take On me. What male Eurobeat vocalists have this vocal range?

I'm still would love if one of the labels did "Defying Gravity" from Wicked. What female in eurobeat has a large enough vocal range though...

And yes, not surprising, Saifam did a eurodance cover of the song already, but I'd like to hear a euro version too.

I can definately see the synthesizer riff reworked into Eurobeat with a nice couplet verse exchange between male & female, but who would do it? Duets are not used too much. Daniel & Cherry? Dave & Nuage? ...and it wouldn't work unless it was duet, beacuse of the lyrical work.

anotherone would be Fascination or Mirror Man.

A few new wave classics that would like to hear in Eurobeat fasion.

Flock Of Seagulls- Telecomunicatin
OMD- Electricity
Depeche Mode-Master & Servant
Soft Cell- Sex Dwarf
Spandau Ballet- To Make A Long Story Short
...and of course Trans -X- Living On Video, though the lyrical work would have to be very imaginative to sound appropriate.

All have continuous bass line dance beat, so they would workout fine.

Speaking of Living on Video, the riff of Rick Castle - Happy Generation liberally borrows from it. You forgot that Nuage has left the building(left the Eurobeat scene) for now at least.
Miami Sound Machine - Dr Beat(Go Go girls)
Vicky Sue Robinson/Gloria Estefan - Turn the beat around(?)
Plumb - In My Arms(Domino)(i take it back, she doesn't have the voice, maybe Helena, or Dhany?)
many of the songs you mentioned are rather obscure, how about tainted love, for a more famous song?

That depends on who you ask. A big 80's fans knows those songs like the back of his hand.

I know Vicky Sue Robinson, but I never heard of Dr. Beat and I have no idea who Plumb is?

Tainted Love good for me from Marilyn Manson, but was completely ruined when Rhianna covered it. :-x

I have never heard that Rick Castle song, but it certainly makes me curious.

Plumb was the artist who sang "Cut"(originally ballads), and both that and the aformentioned recieved trance remixes.

That is why I don't know them. I avoid trance like the Black plague :P

A-Teens - Upside Down (Kiki & Fancy + male SCP singer)(once saw a parapara team on my college campus dancing to the original song)
Rihanna - Unfaithful(Sara)

Patti Labelle - Lady Marmalade(not that this has been covered countless times in other styles, there is also a Macho Gang song with the same name)
