Or are the music pirates to blame?
I'd say a mix. I think Avex could stand to be more aggressive in their international marketing.
A lot's changed in the decade and a half I've been here.

AVEX isn't gonna change the way of the net by changing Mumo to Mora or whatever, because the piracy is part of music distribution. What they are gonna do is not get any revenue from people over sees that were using Mumo to purchase new and extended older stuff from SEB, so any way you look at it, it'¿s a stupid innane move on thier part.

Plus they are the biggest hypocrits ever. Imagine after that whole TIME Spá fiasco, they are right back on SEB

That's because TIME decided to leave Love Para since they aren't doing much anymore i think. They weren't on VIP Mega Euro Star Hybrid either.

That's just my point. They make it seem like the crime of the century when Iron Man was released on Farm and now all is forgiven? The great thing about the whole thing is that Mr. Sergio Dall Ora got to venture and open up his own label.
So who is composing for TIME's Eurobeat section now? Giacomo Maiolini or has it just turned into some kinda distribution label releasing older Dall Ora productions?

You can definitely hear the "thicker" production tones of the Mike West and Kasanova tracks that were synonymous with Time's releases, so it comes as no surprise to me that they aren't Eurogrooves.

Anyway, I'm shocked to report that the star of this whole album is actually Kasanova with the awesome "I Remember". This is really the only track that has any power or presence upon first listen (I know that power isn't really the point of this CD, but even love songs should have a bit of presence...)

Fever Of Love isn't bad and I actually quite enjoy the remix of Fantasy. I'm disappointed by the Pamsy & Jay Lehr track - it's nothing to do with the vocalists, as they do their very best with a poor song IMO.

The Norma Sheffield track should just die a horrible death - what an ugly piece of song-writing and production. Time to retire this vocalist....please!!

What could've been done to improve Fever Of Love, and why aren't you more impressed by it?

I liked this comment that was left on the abeatc myspace page:

"A-Beat C has made really great Eurobeat, it's a pity I can't recognize it anymore in these last released SEBs due to less track presence and loss in quality of music. I look forward to see all the new artist A-Beat C gained since most of the old ones are now singing with GoGo's Music.
Longing for the rebirth of A-Beat C! "

Kinda lukewarm, eh?

I can't find that yet, but... if it's there, I'm glad someone had the stones to not only SAY what they felt, but word it in such a way that Dave & Co. could press for specifics.

And, I've liked some of the Norma productions. Haven't heard the most recent one, but the clip didn't sound so bad. If Norma retired, I'd be pretty bummed, actually.

The comment was made under, "who's A-BEAT C" blog entry. Like Nine said, you can tell they're nervous about the younger labels (SCP, Dima, and GGM)...

omg, no way! This song is awesome! It is also one of the better Norma songs. It fits extremely well with the theme and the song flows really smoothly. The only thing I would change is that the intro is kind of loud with the quiet vocals, but that is typical with A-Beat C stuff anyway.

"I Remember" is definitely not the best song on this album. >.>

This. And even then, I don't even really like "I Remember" that much. :\

The only other song I'll probably listen to again was "Si La Do", and that's only for the lol'z factor over the nonsense about pizza. :P

I was really REALLY hoping there'd be at least one track on this album with some real OOMF or something, but alas, there is none. Add this to that fact that my favorite vocalist wasn't on the album, and 194 = a failure for me. But like I said earlier, I expected it. "Love & Sweets" is just not my style.

Actually, something funny... they ripped that off from the history section of Eurobeat Prime. XD

No No No No No, Not yet. I know that song sucks, but Norma can sing so why retire her as a vocalist ?

Back to topic, I am actually quite surprised by Gambogi this time round, He managed to release 2 songs I liked A LOT. Fever Of Love and My King Is You is really growing on me a lot as well.
You and me like a fire tonight
Me and you 2 guardian angels
Now I feel your touch into my heart
A ray of sun~

My parents come down this weekend, so hopefully my cd will be here by Saturday night. Expect Doc's review maybe by Sunday night or Monday morning, depending on the airplay I give it and the tracklist sounds very good.
