Like what you had to say, drnrg...I would be interested in how song picks would happen if a non-Japanese person was in charge of the series. I would definitely let labels do what they want in terms of productions and would dig back into the euro-vault to release some songs (SCP, Time, and A-Beat C for sure!)

I would have the same philosophy here.

How would you manage the series?

Personally, I would still continue the series on CDs as usual. However, I'd try to have more online involvement; try to get fans involved in compiling the CD, or even sending their own tracks. I'd also try to make videos with a sense of humor and try to spread it and get it viral so more people acknowledge Eurobeat. I would sell the CD for ~1500-2000yen or ~15$ + affordable shipping for people outside Japan.

I would also try to convince higher up that the future is on the internet; work with the Internet, not against it. Then, I would release SEB CDs in digital stores in various format for everyone. In some cases, like on Bandcamp, if somebody purchase a digital version for 10$, for an extra 10$, they would get the CD shipped to them.

It,s all things like that big record companies are so backward in. They try sticking to the old rules for money grab.

Another philosophy I have is that I believe that Internet downloads does NOT affect sales. So, I believe in the Kim Dotcom philosophy: You can download it and/or listen to it for free. If you like it, you decide if you buy it or not. Bandcamp has an option available to the artist: Name you price starting at free or even 1$.

I know that my ideas are very controversial to some that thinks "if I give it away for free, how do I win money?". Well, back to Kim Dotcom, he released an album available pretty much everywhere (like iTunes, amazon, etc) and for free here. It made the top 10 in several countries. It shows that the CD sold AND people purchased it online too, despite being available for free.

Eurobeat, as undeground as it is, would greatly benefit of the Internet if it was actually used correctly. Unfortunately, Avex is only shyly using it. SCP started agressively with EuroKudos. All songs are available on YouTube, Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, Junodownload, etc. They do some Twitter and Facebook campaign. They have a good website. That's doing it right.

I feel like I'm going to be shut down pretty darn hard.

Your ideas are fine. I love the fact that one can listen to the whole track on Juno before buying it. You have to listen to it in small snippets, but its enough to hear weather you like it or not.

The only thing I would probobly add is about the music in general. Seems avex follows the same procedure as the rest of the world and that is that once a certain sound or melody produces a hit: then they want the artists next 5 songs to sound the same and to me that's the burn out effect. Just listen to the Eurobeat of early 90's and hear that the songs didn't all folow the same melodies over and over.

Another one would be and I hope that SEB 227 is a sign that they start asking the labels to do and that's to use the other aliaises they have. No matter how you slice it; seeing the same names cd after cd will eventually start getting boring and the songs will start to sound the same as well.

The proof is in SCP. You know the aliases they use are in some way or another the same singers as ace , fastway ect.., but somhow seeing a diiferent name gives a song a different feel. and the reason I say this is because back in the 90's when I wasn't as curious I would actually think all of Gino Caria's personalities at TIME were in some way different singers and the songs did sound different style for evry alias he had.

hence Dave Rodgers and David Dima could use a little more revamping in thier aliases departments. I'm definate it will give them a boost in the imagination department too. What the ear hears and what the eyes see, someTIMEs produce different effects on the liteners.

and too finish it off. AVEX should just fucking showcase the song(s) the labels submit for that month. Afterall they are the Italians. The geniouses in making Italo Euirobeat. They will always know what's best in Eurobeat sound.

case closed. 8)

Yes indeed. When I was just a euronewb, I actually believed that Niko, Marko Polo, and D. Essex were different singers despite how obvious it is to me now that they're all Maurizio De Jorio's (lovely) voice.

For some reason, my card was declined when I tried to buy this album, even though the order was still received. This never happened before, and I always used the same information.

Hotblade does it again - Showdown sounds ace!! And I adore the hook especially :D

Awwww, my Pamsy is back - yaaaayyyy! I don't think this sample does much justice to her vocals; it's normally the verse and bridge sections that historically have been more minor melodically where she shines, so cannot wait to hear it in full! ;)

Fastway's track sounds a bit tired - kinda like I've heard it all before. But the hook again is good - SCP have been working on their overall productions again and ejecting some extra "oomph" into them it seems!

One other thing - the image in the preview video is of the bloomin' Avex sample trailer that is always posted after the album is released. Now, for SCP to have access to screenshot of this, then Avex must have already put together a preview video with all samples, so...... BLOODY RELEASE IT ALREADY AVEX!!!!! :-x
