EAT YOU UP (PHAT K MIX) / ANGIE GOLD

riff is so awesome...
I see this one mentioned from TIME to TIME from you and others. I have the original vinyl. Its from the latin High Energy Disco days. Does the version mentioned here have a real different eurobeat sound to it? Or is it just a song you especially like? For instance me choosing Love Spy- Mike Mareen. Awesome Laser style NRG synths, but not from Eurobeat world. Anyway maybe you can post a link so I can listen to that Angie Davies remix?

I'll choose one of my favourite Gino Caria sung classics.

De Niro- Video Games (TRD 1188)
This one has that spacy High NRG feel to it; that I love so much, yet the synth riff still fits the Italo Eurobeat era perfectly.

video games play the game play with your joystick

Today's Tune:

Atrium - Night in Tokyo

I like how the chorus is the exact same tune as Supersonic Fire...and then they go and name drop the song in the lyrics too :P

Going way back to the Italo sounds of Tom Hooker singing Future Brain with a little image help from Den Harrow.

There really is no need for them to fued. because In some way or another they both contributed to the song's triumph. 8)

My favorites are Tell Me Why and My Time (which wasn't sung by Tom Hooker) but for today I'll choose Den Harrow - Feedback

Sweet Connection - Heart To Heart.

late entry in the High Energy Boom of the mid 80's. Still a classic song showing how many different ways one can play a well known synth riff. The break is NRG glorious.

I hadn't heard those. I don't hear Tom Hooker in those vocals, but funny enough; youtube comments still claim its him doing the vocal and not Den Harrow. My TIME sounds great. The overall melody and synths have a Gino Caria vibe or better yet Mauro Farina doing Joe Yellow like in Wild Boy. So this two are actually sung by Den Harrow?

Denise - Burning Like A Flame

I think a big part of this song's greatness is the universally effective hook. While the entire song is about jealousy, 'Burning like a flame into my heart. Burning like a flame into my body.' is a line that just sounds great no matter what and sets the aggressive mood better than any other part in the song and drives home the second line along with the jealousy theme 'I know you've deceived me and this time no, I don't wanna forgive you.'

LET'S FALL IN LOVE TOGETHER / BABY GOLD

it's a shame that this was never released on SEB. It is much better than their new songs...

Tell Me Why was sung by Tom Hooker, I think you can recognize him in certain parts of the song, although the tone he used is rather different so I understand it is not very clear that he actually sings this song. My Time was sung by his successor, an English guy (I don't know his name). He also sang You Have A Way and other songs on that album.

For today I choose a Sinclaire song Melody - Why Not. I remember it took a while to get used to that song. However, those sounds and vocals are incredible!
