Very well said!

So yeah, does anyone have this album (for real) yet?

Due to the long absence from actually following the eurobeat scene properly (apart from getting the 2 Blast albums) I'm mostly just waiting to see what the reception for the album is.
If it's full of Lolita-esque goodness then I shall actually purchase it, if it's full of crap-tastic boring intros and uninteresting melodies, then pass.

It's not just eurobeat that gets badly pirated. Kelly told me he found an article that claimed that 95 percent of all music is pirated. Eurobeat's sheer lack of accessibility only makes its situation even worse.
This is 100% tru and the reason that all pop music sux nowadays. That is why the same song is being released over and over so the record labels can get back at the public. :P

Anyway I have become a Juno junkie. The songs are in my reach within minuits and no Japanese text that I can't understand. I'll probobly end up getting from CD Japn, but I really only liked about 5 clips, so untill untill it's sold here in my country, I'll save up my pennies or Juno. Either that or take up a Japanese language class. BTW they do show up here in the swap meets, but at real shitty quality.

You guys seem to forget about something : money. Even if the will is there, sometime you just can't buy anything because you don't have the money and have other priorities.

Even if the CD would have been available in my CD Store, I wouldn't be able to grab it 'coz I don't have the money. That is why pirating stuff is highly popular. We just can't afford every single album where we love a track or two. That is why we grab it from people that offers it illegally online...

However, even with that mindset, I still understand that we need to encourage the artists if we can though.
If money is really that tight then maybe peole shouldnt be buying eurobeat at all. I'm of the belief that if you can't afford then you don't deserve to hear the music regardless of how much you claim to love the genre.

thejti wrote:See but that's not so much of an issue if you really look at your expenses and junk. You've had how many months to save up for this album? If you bought the tracks off musico (150 yen each, total about 20 bucks at most though I think there's a purchase CD option there not sure), didn't download them from that site because of the quality, torrented the album from Initial D, you'd be fine. People are expecting to get stuff for free on a premium genre music (defined as music not readily available in one's country) and it doesn't work that way.
It's hard to save up when you live with your parent's money. The money I got for christmas paid the set of speakers I bought just before christmas and SEB 200.

And, I won't pay 3$ CAD for CRAP quality + DRM.

P.S Don't tell me to get a job, I goddamn know I need one. My situation is a bit difficult.

I didn't say that people should stop buying music, you know. But in Eurobeat's case, if you buy every single albums because you like the genre, you gonna get ppor before knowing it.

And I deserve to listen no matter what, thank you. I still buy when I ACTUALLY CAN.

Piracy and copyright stuff is the same thing. Thank you for understanding.

I really wouldn't mind if Eurobeat was just released as mp3's like HRG Attack does on Juno. The whole emotion about buying the cds is really only for the lyrics. Besides I lost that drive when Eurobeat stopped pressing vinyl.

Latest developement. I had to thru almost desperate methods, but at least I got 2 songs. Say Goodbye and Wonderlover. Say Goodbye is Magnani without a doubt and the song is epic. Wonderlover is my new favorite song of the year. It's Starman all over again and that's alright by me. :D

They probably hit the bottom of the supplies they had... or they didn't update their system.

People who make things for a living deserve to be paid for them, not ripped off.

The music industry is far from perfect (way too much money goes to the record companies).

But even when Newfield offered to let people buy direct from HIM, I'm sure people still turned their noses up and ripped the music off anyway.

Now that's not totally true. Sure there will always be someone sharing his exclusives, but it's been an overwhelmingly positive move for Newfield!
He's very generous too - he sent me Eurobeat Rejected in exchange for me making a eurobeat rejected non-stop mix for him. ;)

i love how this thread has gone from SEB201 to copyrights and piracy.

i am pretty sure everyone in this forum is guilty for downloading 1 or more songs...not necessarily eurobeat. its great to preach about buying everything and being rightcious about it, but the fact is piracy is so main stream these days and internet has made it so easy and accessable.
i am guilty, i own (bought) about 15 SEB cd's, and a few others like campus summits and D1 grand prix. but i have downloaded pretty much all SEB from SEB100-180. i wont justify it, but i will say that atleast me having Eurobeat also spreads the word of eurobeat... friends of mine have downloaded it from Itunes, and now that Itunes has Eurobeat on there i am downloading it legally i havnt downloaded an eurobeat album illegally in over 1.5 years as i have been buying it. ..

anywho... back to the actually topic...

havnt got mine yet either!!

WHy should you get eurobeat for free? I want some filet mignon but I;m not gonna go steal it from the butcher because I think the price is too high but really want the fresh cuts as soon as their made. Theft is theft is theft is theft no matter how minor you think it is.
