Showdown sounds like an Ace track. He even sounds like Ace. I doesn't really have the Hotblade signature vibe I was hopeing for. If it doesn't have some extraordinary break it will probly be forgotten soon,

That Pamsy track did absolutely nothing for me, since it was just one line from the chorus. The synth riff is ok.

I think I liked Fastway's track the best. Continues to be a Bang!

The preview itself playout like an edit form, but I really loved how Pamsy turned into Fastway's song. It really fit perfectly when she says that last Crazy and Free part just as Fasway belts in with the verse. Why can't that be the song?

One other thing - the image in the preview video is of the bloomin' Avex sample trailer that is always posted after the album is released. Now, for SCP to have access to screenshot of this, then Avex must have already put together a preview video with all samples, so...... BLOODY RELEASE IT ALREADY AVEX!!!!! Mad

erm..doesn't SCP get the prefered treatment from AVEX or something like that?

I kinda liked Too Tan's intro, I wonder who that person singing it though, I guess they got a new singer? Gordon Jim and Billy The Butcher seems to be the same person?

Wow, really? I heard a very different thing - for me, this sounds like the best album in ages. It may even challenge 223 for the best album of the decade. Soooo many insanely good riffs and only really the Norma Sheffield and Billy The Butcher track seemed to dip the quality. Hotblade's track sounds like it'll be my fave. It's insanely catchy!!! :D

He sounds different that's for sure.

I liked that album preview. There's only like two tracks where I was "Huh... No. Just... No".

Quite a bit of slower tracks on there too.

Excluding some songs, 227 could be a very good album. I really like the HRG entries. :)

I'm excited more for this one than 226. It seems Hi-NRG Attack has got their spark back with these additions; loving the riff for Too Tan! Loving the Futura track and Rodgers track; not so much the Sheffield entry. Loving the Leo River entry as well! I'm just looking forward to this! Too bad pre-orders are taken already on cdjapan.

Can we say Trance influenced??? Also, the Pasmy riff sounds like it could've been a Nuage track.

I beg to differ here. The new HRG vocalist sounds far less articulate and almost seems like he came from outside of Italy. I wouldn't be surprised if he's of Egyptian or Arabic origin, since Too Tan is apparently a pun of Tutankhamen and HRG hasn't experimented with Middle Eastern note structures before. I know they also made Russian-style tracks, but the fact that this new approach is directly accompanied by the new vocalist makes me think this is more than a coincidence.

As for my thoughts about the samples, they pretty much all sound good, though I'll need to hear the verses before I can decide how many tracks are outright phenomenal. Delta and GGM have the strongest showings overall; I'm pleasantly intrigued that the Manuel and Leo River songs actually sound closer to GGM's original style, though still different, and aren't just wannabe SCP productions.

Speaking of SCP, their tracks are all nice, but not groundbreaking. Pamsy sounds the best of the three, but I'm still pretty doubtful that it'll be anywhere near as memorable as her other more energetic tracks such as Livin' in the Night and Emotional Child. Fastway's new track seems fairly generic and a disappointing followup to the awesome Element of Fire. As good as Hotblade's song is thus far, it's still notably inferior to all of his masterpieces from the 210's.

I guess Camel Man is sort of along those lines, but it still doesn't go all-out with Arabic melodic scales the way Too Tan does. The other two songs you mentioned don't come anywhere close.
